Shannon Harden listed an item for sale on Facebook as being two years old. Arranged to have item delivered to my state and once delivered, found a day-glo green inspection sticker affix to item that equipment piece was 10 years old.

I contacted the seller to request a partial refund as they misrepresented the age of the equipment piece purchased. In response, I received a reply stating: "im not a appliance repair person or dealer an cant verify that info because im not quaified to make that call." (Again big, bright inspection sticker from 2008.)

As item does work, I requested a partial refund (1/3 of the purchase price, not factoring in the cost to have item delivered), which I felt was fair given the item was 5x older than what it was listed for.

She refused to issue a refund (though did offer store credit) and went on to say their return policy was listed on their company's page. Item, however, was listed under Shannon Harden's personal profile and at no point in our email conversations did she ever mention her company's name, state anything about a return policy or that she didn't know the actual age of the item she listed as being two years old.

I realize I'm purchasing something used and as-is. However, my issue is that she blatantly lied in the Ad posting about how old the item is, which would have greatly factored into the sales price. Consequently, I would never recommend anyone doing business with either The Shop & Swap or Shannon Harden.
