Southern Lady Restaurant

Great food at very good prices. We went for the AYCE Seafood buffet on friday night and according to my family it was very good. They had salad, fried clams, shrimp, fried shrimp, oysters, scallops and whole fried catfish, fries and onion rings. They also had homenade banana pudding (omg delicious) and homemade peach cobbler. The buffet was only $17.99 and with what you get it looked well worth it.
I love catfish but I dont eat whole catfish so I opted for a hamburger steak with a baked potato and a salad my husband had the same thing and to be honest we both could have shared a plate there was so much food. It was very good and we devoured the baked potatos because they were hot and fluffy and had a great taste to them. The staff was very friendly. I only have one small issue and that is the bathroom, where it is small it is not handicap friendly. I have a handicap mother and she had a hard time getting up from the toilet because there was not a handicap handle to help her up. I would suggest placing a wall mount handicap bar on the wall in front of the toilet. I cant take stars away for that because it is an easy fix so I will stick with my 5 stars and a we will definitely be back to Southern Lady because the food was that good.

I haven't eaten here since moving away from Bowden 35 years ago. I was telling a friend about the restaurant, and we decided to go try it out. I'm happy to say #1 it's still open #2 it's still owned by the same couple and #3 it's still serving great food. If you've never tried it give them a chance, think me later.

Home town country atmosphere. Local owners . Deborah & her husband ( police chief) are hands on . Staff very friendly. Food is always great ! My personal favorite is ham sandwich, fries, chicken dressing. My husband loves hamburger steak . Sons & daughter in law eat various but we love it all.

Great place to visit and eat felt welcome the minute we came thru the door. Highly recommend 👌

OK... I'm making this review as I sit here...
OK... So far... I'm having the buffet lunch, so far, I have been melting as I eat the pot roast, my mama would have loved this and she made the best pot roast, I really love the potatoes with onions and peppers... I also have the fried yellow squash, hush puppies, stewed cabbage, but the best, so far, is the sweet potato cobbler, I'd travel a lots of miles to just get this...as I write this, I take a bite , oh yeah, I really like thier sweet tea....
This place has an old time could try feel to it, which is exactly what I was hoping for...
So far, the service has been top notch, and I've positioned myself so I can watch the staff as they work with other customers, they are sweet and very nice as what I've witnessed... I am so glad to have moved here to this small town, Bowdon Georgia... This establishment is part of the charm of this Town... If you visit the town, make sure to get to this restaurant...

We love good french fries. Asked for extra crispy and had the best french fries in Georgia. Hamburgers were super with hoop cheese. Friendliest people!!

Good home country eating...first time while working in Bowdon. Will eat again.

I was introduced to Southern Lady and have been hooked since my first bite. The food is excellent, the staff are warm and inviting. Where else can you go and feel genuinely welcome. They treat you like family like they've known you your whole life AND THEY FEED YOU GOOD. The food feels like tradition and the service makes you feel at home. Don't take my words for it, try it for your. I drive over 20 minutes just to eat @ SOUTHERN LADY. Thank all of you

Learned about this place from a friend. I had the fried chicken, fried okra and steak fries. My wife had the hamburger steak, baked potato and steak fries. The food was great!!!

Been eating here since I was a kid. Great bbq,burgers, breakfast,lunch buffet. Never had anything bad here.

As close as you can get to home, besides cooking it yourself. Prices are not bad at all. Seafood Fridays and Breakfast Saturdays, done as all you can eat buffet. The best BLT in town and surroundings. Love it.

Great service, the food was just like mama's cooking. When I come to Bowden in the morning, I'm definitely eating here.
