Came for the 5 Day accelerated multi engine course. It’s a great time, highly recommend it. Had Cameron as my sign off main MEI, flew with Kyle, and Angel. All awesome guys. Cam dialed me in for the check-ride, he’s awesome, definitely ask for him. Great time!

I can't say enough great things about D&J Aviation! Kyle, the chief pilot, was absolutely amazing throughout my add-on commercial multi-engine training. The entire team at D&J made the process smooth and efficient, and Kyle's teaching style is exceptional (don't forget to USE THE CHECKLIST haha). D&J has been awesome for my flight training, all of their airplanes are well maintained compared to other schools. The scheduling software is easy to use and you literally make your own flying schedule. So far I’ve flown with Hanna and Cody as my instructors. I can’t say enough great things about either one of them. Hanna and Cody both are very positive and give me a lot of confidence in my ability to learn how to fly. Can’t wait to see what the future holds with D&J Aviation.

I had a great time training at D&J. I’m from the PNW and the weather out there would drag my multi engine training out for several months. I took the leap of faith and signed up for the accelerated multi engine program with D&J. I was blessed to be paired with the assistant chief pilot Kyle Ontkos. Kyle was incredibly friendly and professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. He got me ready for my check-ride in just 3 days! Thank you D&J staff and Kyle for making my training in Apopka so memorable. I appreciate all of you!

Great flight school! Came here to get my multi/commercial add on. As advertised, the 5 day course was the perfect amount of time to get me familiar and comfortable flying the Seminole. Everyone who works here is so nice and seems to love their job. The planes are kept in great condition and the flight instructors are so helpful and really care about their students. Happy I went with D&J for my multi!

What a great pilot school. I had the privilege of getting checked out for their rental fleet of Pipers and I couldn't be more impressed. Everyone is so happy there and super friendly. The instructors are very knowledgeable and go above and beyond with everything to make sure you are safe and satisfied. The office area is super clean with friendly staff and the airplane are very well maintained. Even the Chief Pilot, a person who has a ton on their plate, is super approachable and willing to take time to help and answer any questions you may have. I couldn't be any more impressed with a flight school as I am with D&J.

I’m so fortunate to rent from D&J! Their fleet of Piper Aircraft is absolutely immaculate and the staff treat you like you’re family. Everyone knows your name and is super friendly when you come in, literally making hangar 81 at X04 like a second home. Maintenance is top notch and you can always expect for them to jump on any concern that may come up during preflight. Any time a plane I’ve had on the schedule is down for unexpected maintenance (as we know happens with planes), Susan has lined up an alternative for me and communicated the switch promptly. If you want the best customer service and family friendly environment, I highly recommend D&J for your flight training or rental needs!!

I am nearing the end of my PPL training with D&J, and I can confidently say that I am very glad that I chose D&J for my flight training. I have been training with Connor for the past 3 months in their many beautiful Piper Warriors and never had a single issue, except for a minor mechanical problem we ran into at another airport but the maintenance guys (shoutout to Mike) drove out and fixed it within the hour! This inconvenience led us to meeting very kind aviators at the newly constructed Umatilla FBO who invited the school to their private Fly-In for the opening of the new FBO!

D&J also has amazing and professional instructors. Your CFI is ultimately the most important part of your training. My instructor, Connor, has been very efficient and very understanding. He is an ERAU Alumni and he was on the competitive flight team for the ER Eagles. He does a great job of passing along his extensive aviation and aeronautical knowledge to his students. I've also had the pleasure of meeting other instructors such as Nate, Hanna, Jamison, and many others and they are all very kind and professional at what they do. From the chats I've had with other students it is pretty obvious that D&J just doesn't hire any CFI and they deliberately choose who gets to have the privilege of being an instructor at this great flight school.

Scheduling and financing deserves a compliment as well, they use Flight Schedule Pro which is a breeze to browse through and you create your own schedule, just be sure to make reservations a week or two prior because the spots for planes and your instructor can fill up quick! Plane rental prices and instructor hourly prices are pretty average for Central Florida, if anything probably on the lower spectrum. They have a wide choice of aircrafts depending on your budget; from the 6-pack olden but golden 64 Charlie to the fully glass Garmin cockpit 514 Charlie, how much you spend is up to your preference.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, I've noticed that you can have a friendly chat with anyone (who are all huge fans of aviation) including the owners, front desk staff, maintenance, other instructors and students, and it really feels like a family environment. I just wish I could spend more time at the facility! They also have cookouts and events every now and then which boost the friendliness and warmness of the environment.

To conclude, I spent months researching flight schools from Lakeland to Daytona, and I am glad to have chosen D&J. Amazing instructors, maintenance, staff and owners, planes... the list just goes on without a flaw.

I selected D&J's accelerated multi-engine program based on very positive online reviews, their reputation, and the fact that they booked a DPE at the end of the multi-engine training within 6 weeks of me initiating the training. Due to NY winter weather and DPE availability, I decided to travel down to Florida to complete the multi-engine training and fortunately the weather worked out for the (4) days of ground and flight training in a Piper Seminole, which concluded with me passing the checkride during that time. Ahead of the training, they provide a digital POH, their checklists, a comprehensive standardized procedures manual, multi-engine theory/Piper Seminole systems guide with excellent graphics, and a comprehensive open book quiz to complete prior to going down. D&J provides you exactly what documents (certificates, required forms, etc) you need before you get down there. The facility itself is very clean and organized and their maintenance, ground crew, administrative staff and instructors are excellent. D&J is also great at adjusting the airplanes, instructors and training needed for weather or extra flight/ground time to help you pass. However, I believe you do need to be well prepared before you go down and having a few hours of multi-engine training and knowledge will be helpful in passing for some people, depending on your general flying skills and abilities. I used their standardized procedures manual to fly simulated multi-engine maneuvers in a Piper Seminole in X-Plane 11 before going down, which helped with the checklist flows prior to starting the actual flight training.

Great place great Aircraft. Took 5 day course I live in PA and made the well worth trip to finish up the rating for multi. Dont go without being prepared read the POH go with A game and it’s well worth the trip. You will leave a safer pilot 1000 percent.

Best flight school in the central Florida area hands down. Throughout my training I've jumped around so many places (part 61 schools, 141, independent CFIs) gave me issues and D&J is the only place where I haven't had any problems. The fleet is in great condition and maintained very well by mechanics I can personally trust. The Instructor who I fly with, now the Cheif Pilot of the school, is Dustin Rose. The other instructors are great but he is the best one I've had the pleasure of training with. He helped me get my PPL done and now Im currently getting my Commercial and CFI certificates with him. Highly recommend this place for both training and renting. The Warriors are cheap and the Archer is really nice with air conditioning. Everyone who works here is also friendly and I have yet to have a negative interaction with anyone at D&J. If you're in the market for rental aircraft or flight training, definitely stop by and check out the program.

I must say what a great experience first time with pilot instructor, Kyle. Very thorough and focused. Gave compliments where they were done and instructions when necessary. I look forward to pursuing my pilots license.

I used D&J to build my flight time over a couple of months. Their online airplane reservation system made reserving an airplane very easy. They would have my airplane fueled and ready when I arrived to go flying. They have onsite maintenance who will fix any problem and help keep their fleet of all Piper aircraft in the air.

D&J is definitely one of the best flight schools around! Something that I believe sets them apart from other flight schools is their ability to provide quality instruction, all while still having fun! I came here to do my commercial multi add-on & it was all such a smooth and easy process to get done. I highly recommend them for all your flight training needs!

Such a great experience with a Flight School! D&J Aviation is run like a small family business, staffed by friendly, accommodating employees. However, they are equipped with excellently maintained, modern, Piper aircraft and very knowledgeable Instructors. They don't nickel and dime you like other flight schools. Highly recommended for your flight training needs! You won't be disappointed.

Since last year 2021 I have been a customer of D&J Aviation. I have been working exclusively with a young lady named Amberlie, who has made each of my checkout flights a memorable and enjoyable experience, with safety and efficiency always a priority. The aircraft are well maintained and excellent in appearance both inside and outside. The cost for this experience has in my view been very reasonable in today's market conditions. I have met the various staff members on occasion and all have been very accommodating. I recommend D&J for those interested in flight training. And also for those like myself who just need to rent a reliable aircraft on occasion.

I only spent a week at D & J Aviation and it’s been one of the best flying experiences during training that I’ve had in a minute. The facilities are nice, the people are nice, everything is clean, and the airplane logbooks are organized and up-to-date. In house maintenance is a big plus. I went in to do an accelerated training multi engine course and the training was very comprehensive. If other people were looking to get their Multi at D&J is highly recommended. BTW, I passed my check-ride.

I traveled from out of town for my Commercial Multiengine add on. I started training on a Monday morning, and after 32 since the last time flying a twin, that Friday after lunch I was headed home with my certificate in hand.

Not only was the training extremely thorough, it was done professionally all while making me feel so at home, like I’d known them 20 years.

If you’re in the central Florida area, or anywhere in Florida, don’t hesitate in choosing D&J, you WILL NOT be disappointed!!
