Systema Floyd Martial Arts

My daughter and I visited Systema’s self-defense class at a friend’s recommendation. After a couple of trial classes, we signed up for a first month followed by another! My daughter is educated at home and hasn’t had much experience with classes that I am not directly involved with, but she truly enjoys the class; it is one of the highlights of her week.
Her teacher, Sensei Andrew, is energetic, warm, empathetic, playful, and firm. He helps kids to be comfortable in class — meeting them where they’re at and challenging them to higher levels of engagement and accomplishment. Sensei Alex has occasionally taught my daughter’s class and has also intentionally worked to connect and build a relationship with her both in class and in play after class has ended.
Both teachers are excellent at what they do and bring an infectious lightness and good sense of humor to the class, which in turn rubs off on both the kids and parents. The skills practiced in class have seeped into our home, deepening our connection and enhancing our play.

The facilities are bright, clean, peaceful, and well-kept. Each member of the team I have met has been friendly and professional.

I felt it would be beneficial for my daughter to see me involved in a class, so I registered for the evening class that follows hers. Sensei Tom Floyd, the owner, leads my class. His instruction guides participants into a heightened awareness of body, mind, and of the external world. The breathwork and movement are richly nourishing. I am gaining strength, flexibility, and confidence with each passing week. The other participants are warm, kind, loyal, and consistent—which reflects very positively on the leadership and the depth of the class.

I cannot recommend this dojo highly enough! So grateful to the friend that referred me here and to the team at Systema for the service they provide to my family and the greater community, and for the light that emanates from them.

A true gem.

I've been coming here for four years now. I've had the good fortune of training at a number of Systema schools in the U.S. and Europe, including the Systema HQ in Toronto. I don't always live down in West Palm, but whenever I come home, I'm so happy to get to train with Tommy and Alex. The depth, skill, and care of the work here are second to none, and the grace and playfulness with which they're held never cease to amaze me.

Fantastic place that teaches discipline and skills! Tom and Alex are extremely knowledgeable and take pride in seeing the kids succeed.
