My husband and I have used FCWLC for the Duodenal Switch procedure. We are so incredibly happy with the results but even more so the amazing Dr. Peterson And his staff. They follow you through your journey, picking up the phone even on weekends. I've never had a doctor or office staff be so attentive and responsive. Admittedly, I was paranoid with my recovery, calling or texting over every little thing that I thought wasn't right. They were always there to listen to my concerns and help me through it. It isn't a place where they give you the surgery then send you on your way with a "Good Luck!" They invest in you, personally, and ensure your success. I literally cannot say enough positive things about our experience. And I wish I could come up with some kind of constructive criticism but there isn't any. This entire experience has been flawless so far. I'm 2 months post op and my husband is 4 months post op, as of the date of this posting.

Great place for bariatric surgery. Dr. Peterson's team is well prepared for your pre-surgery requirements, including reviewing your insurance requirements, training, and meal plans. Dr. Peterson utilizes convenient tele-visits which save some trips to his office. Post surgery attention and follow-up support keeps you on-track with your goals. Questions and concerns are promptly handled with his staff, or Dr. Peterson (when necessary.) It's been 7 weeks since the surgery and have lost approximately 40 lb. so far!

Dr. Peterson, his staff and partners are amazing! They are very patient, charismatic, and genuine in offering help, information, and education. Dr. Peterson takes the time to explain to you how your body works, discuss options that are right for your individual needs and is seriously concerned about your overall health. His team provides you with a wealth of resources prior to surgery in the form of manuals, videos and even a book he wrote, giving you every opportunity to learn how and why things happen before and after the surgery. I was very nervous the day of surgery and Dr. Peterson came in to make sure I was ok, answered any last questions I had and then grabbed my hand and prayed with me. By then the fear was gone and I was ready. The staff at the surgery center were so friendly and attentive. Dr. Peterson is a true master at what he does. The evening after surgery, I felt only mild discomfort, no real pain and was up and walking around without any difficulty. The day after surgery, I felt great and even worked. I was completely amazed that I felt the way I did. I just simply followed his directions and like he said, I was fine. The day after the surgery, the Dr. himself personally called me to check on me, answer any questions and reassure me that I can call at any time if needed. Today is the second night after surgery, I have had a great day, even worked and I cannot recommend this team enough. If you are worried, call them. They will explain everything. They have it all figured out and their process makes it easy and doesn’t stop after the surgery. They have a finish strong program, so they stay with you with a nutritionist, more education, and trainers. On a scale of 1 to 5, they get a 15 from me. So happy I called them and so excited to get healthy and enjoy the rest of my life. Thank you, Dr. Peterson, your staff and partners! God Bless you all!

I had the best experience at Florida Coast. I live out of state and after doing my research, I found this was the most affordable center with amazing reviews all across the board for the surgeon Dr. Peterson. I drove nearly 6 hours and it was completely worth it. Julie was so helpful, kind, and understanding. On the day of my surgery Dr. Peterson did everything in his power to ensure I was comfortable and felt safe, as he has done since the very first consultation. He answers all questions and is kind and patient. They were also understanding and supportive of me needing to put a pause on my surgery midway through the process due to a loss I suffered…I am about 7 weeks post op with zero complications. Would recommend them 1000 times!

This office was way more that I expected. Julie was very sweet and kind. She listened to her patients. When they doctor came in, it was the best conversation I have ever had with my provider. He gave me every single detail. Provided me with information. I'm so glad to have found this center. I'm a Veteran, I would never get this procedure done anywhere else to include the the VA Hospital. I want to give at standing ovation for everything they have done for me. I can't wait to have my procedure. Dr. Peterson and all the support staff at FCWLC have been great to work with. Dr. Peterson takes time to thoroughly explain things and answer questions. The procedure went perfectly with no complications, and I am getting the desired results. I did have a consult with one other surgeon but felt more comfortable with FCWLC, so I chose them for my weight loss surgery needs.

Dr. Peterson was so informative and listened to what my conserns and needs were. He opened up doors to more than one roads to help me in my journey. I felt so much better understanding the process and reasons behind the surgeries and education I will be receiving. I love that I get to learn how to control my life and that I have a team of people, videos, reading materials, etc. to be at my side to guide me through the process.

I also have to say Sally Winkler was the first person I was in contact with. She was so kind and helpful. She really helped me set up a time table, get my questions answered, finding out ways to cover the costs I would be responsible for, finding cost effective ways to stretch my dollar since I would be paying out of pocket. She also was just a great person to talk with.

In short great people doing great things. Love them!!!

I was anxious but Dr. Peterson made me feel very comfortable the day of surgery. He prayed with me before surgery and educated me on what I could expect throughout the entire process. Plus the resources they provide are excellent. I would choose him and FCWLC again and again. Special shoutout to Julie for all of her assistance along the way as well. She is very sweet and helpful. Thank you FCWLC for giving me my confidence back - I am down a total of 31lbs so far and am just under 2 months out from VSG.

Dr. Peterson and Julie were very helpful during the process. This is the most affordable self pay bariatric clinic in Florida. You get an incredible value with this team! And you don’t even have to stay overnight in the hospital 🥰! I would recommend this clinic to anyone.

Dr. Peterson is fantastic! He is very personable and kind. I feel comfortable talking to him. He is the first doctor who offered to pray with me before surgery. Amazing!!

Dr. Peterson is an experienced surgeon that makes the health and well being of his patients his primary concern. Dr. Darren Peterson was the surgeon for my weight loss surgery at Panhandle Weight Loss Center in Amarillo, Texas. Amarillo, Texas' loss is definitely Florida's gain. Dr. Peterson has a very kind and caring demeanor and definitely put me at ease from my very first appointment, all the way through my surgergy!
