Chesapeake Restaurant & Terrace

We ate at night here and it was lovely. They’ve got fire pits and fire lamps at every table and plenty of waiters and service people so everything was very quick. Very seafood heavy menu which was great. The scallops and oysters were extremely fresh. Drink menu was good and prices were fine. Overall everything was picture perfect and we had a wonderful evening. Highly recommend the fries and Brussels sprouts!!

Delicious food and wonderful service! We received a nice surprise of complimentary champagne for our anniversary. The drinks were well crafted and a delight.

We had a fabulous dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday! We had burrata as an appetizer, gnocchi and fried chicken as main courses, then key lime pie and brown butter cake with strawberries and cream for our desserts. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. Our server, Alysa, was utterly charming, gave us great advice, and made the evening even more memorable! Please extend our compliments to the chef and our thanks to Alysa for a perfect night.

The meal at the Chesapeake at the Tides Inn was an extraordinary experience. The food was divine! I had the scallops, which were out of this world. While there I was able to try the Filet, the Spicy Oyster Grilled Cheese, and the baked oysters, which were all fabulous! Our server Cece was incredibly knowledgably about our drinks, and meals. He was intuitive to our wants and needs. This was one of the absolute best restaurant experiences I've ever had.

We celebrated our anniversary here. The service, food, and setting was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Celebrated Mother’s Day a little early with a dinner at The Tides Inn… and it was so worth the drive!! The service was a 10/10 - thank you so much for your kindness “CC”! The food was fantastic as well- we tried a variety of foods but everyone’s favorite was the baked oysters! We weren’t staying at the Inn, but we were still able to enjoy a walk around the stunning grounds and beach along the river.

Best meal I have had in a while from top to bottom. Portioned correctly for the price. Country club vibes. Great patio view.

We had our anniversary dinner here and also celebrated Veterans Day. This was an absolutely great experience. The food was perfect, service perfect. And Clovie our waiter, absolute gentleman and very professional...thank you sir. The atmosphere was perfect as well. Although pricey, remember it's just not the food you're paying for. Wonderful experience...they even gave us a small gift. Thank you and you will most certainly see us again.

Please call before you drive almost an hour to visit like I did. Upon my arrival, I was informed that the restaurant is closed from 2pm to 5pm, but I'm not sure if it is an everyday thing. However, it was not stated by Google. The atmosphere around it is super calm and peaceful, the place looks well care for, and the view is breathing. I ate at the Fish Hawk Oyster Bar instead (By the pool) of the hotel. I wouldn't drive 40-50 mts to eat there, but we had no choice once already there. Maybe in my next visit I get to enjoy the restaurant's cuisine.

I've always wanted to eat at the Tide's Inn. It only took about 5 or 6 decades to finally go! I wasn't disappointed with the food at all. Coming on a January day with no one around and seated at the bar without reservations was the only downer. Wouldn't have minded so much if they were full, but come on. You could have sat us at a table. Anyway, the food and drinks were as exceptional as expected. We really enjoyed the oysters and the signature cocktails. I went with the crab cakes which I just loved. Not a fan of succotash, that was a strange combination - but it was well done. Finally, the bread was amazing even though I shouldn't have eaten it all! Come for the food, just appease the rule hammers by getting a reservation.

Absolute 5 star service. Food was 98% worth the price tag, but a potato croquette came out cold in the middle. A rare miss for this place I would imagine.
