Awesome food and very friendly staff. They have a great menu. I wanted to try several different things and settled on the oyster waffle! Local caught oysters and a great combination of tastes in this dish.

My husband and I LOVE Dredge!! The owners and staff couldn’t be friendlier and the food is consistently delicious. The atmosphere is fantastic - you instantly feel comfortable and welcomed. Whether you’re dining at the bar or sitting at a table, you’re bound to have a wonderful time. Their specials are always great, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The best!!

Been here many times. On our most recent visit we found the fried oysters to be scrumptious. The raw on the half shell oysters were room temperature and we would have preferred them ice cold. The service is excellent 😋.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (not only did they have a proper high chair, they helped us sort out which table would best shade our bebe) and the food was exceptional.

We started off with the fresh local Rappahannock oysters and they were just amazing. Big, juicy, and buttery. House Champagne Vinegar Mignonette was tasty as well.

Me- Roasted Cuban Pork with black beans and rice, perfectly faithful incarnation of the Caribbean staple, 🙌
Toddler- 'Viet-Cajun' Udon with veggies & grilled shrimp in a house soy, just delicious! She loved it as well.

We would definitely come back here in a heartbeat should we ever find ourselves once again spending time in the Northern Neck of VA.

Thoroughly enjoyed our mahi tacos and burger. Don't skip the house made key lime pie! Friendly, efficient, clean. Gets a little loud later in the night, but a fun, grown up atmosphere.

Local buzz and anticipation were in high gear awaiting the opening of Dredge, Irvington. Irvington you may know, is becoming quite the place for Foodies with a flurry of recent eateries that now include well known and respected Chef/Owner Bryan Byrd's latest restaurant, Dredge.
I recently had the honor to meet Bryan and Phyllis at Dredge while taking a look around and chatting about his extensive local background in the seafood business. From a family of waterman, to his upbringing right here in the Northern Neck since age 7, then working at the local country club, a jaunt to Key West, plus his interest in Cuban and Caribbean foods ...those influences are revealed in his flavorful food.
The portions are well sized, and the plates set attractively with garnishes. My Jambalaya was nicely filled with the mix of spicy flavors sure to make you feel you were back in Louisiana. The fish tacos, fried oysters or soups, and Rockfish dishes, were all delicious and customer favorites. It's the kind of place where trying new things or having old favorites is surely in order.
I found the clientele as interesting a mix as some of the food offerings..young or mature, you'll find them there! There's an active vibe that the summer season will surely only enhance.
So for super fresh farm or boat to table, Dredge is terrific choice. If you havent been there, Go!

Update.. The mojitos were a big hit at this very popular bar. I ordered one...soon after there were 8 other people buying them around me! Try one..perfect with seafood!

My husband and I stopped in because we've heard great things about this place. Needless to say we were not disappointed! Both owners were there and we got to speak to both. They were both very friendly and full of knowledge since we own a local restaurant not too far away Jamaican wings and tacos were fantastic! We highly recommend this place if you're passing through or vacationing . We always like to support local businesses. Thank you for a great date night!

Excellent food, pork was so flavorful, Jambalaya plentiful amounts of chicken, sausage and shrimp, great Mac and cheese. Eaten here several times…always great!

This place is doing so well managing the pandemic. Properly distanced and just a great spot to enjoy creative seafood. We had a curry scallop dish that was so fresh and full of flavor, I've never had anything like it! Everything we had was a wonderful and the staff were amazing

The service was kind, quick and very accommodating. The food was outstanding, I personally recommend the oyster and Parm pizza. We were able to get a table quickly and easily. I strongly recommend this place to anyone in the area

Kept meaning to try it, but the trip home, after a beer was an issue. Wife took on Designated Driver roll. Good Thai noodle dish. Good oysters-- fried and on the half shell.

Interesting Cuban and oyster menu. I had the special of the evening, a t-bone topped with crab meat. Fantastic! Great service in a relaxed atmosphere. Moderately priced.

As always the atmosphere at the Dredge is very inviting. Brian does a wonderful job with his menu and his signature oyster tacos with the Sriracha lime slaw is so good!! His staff is very friendly and attentive. Seating is properly spaced out to observe social distancing and capacity is at half occupancy. Enjoyed my evening at the Dredge!

Early October outdoor dining. Best clam chowder ever, light and brothy. Fried oyster taco was my first foray into fried oysters. We'll be back. Well done... Dredge!
