Had pretty much everything that we were looking for, in order for us to successfully load things on the back of our truck and high tail it home. Customer service was great, specifically being helped by Alishia at the cash register.

I love going here. The staff ar3 always so friendly and polite. They have just about any tool to get the job done. Their quality of their tools have improved so much.

This was the first time I ever went in the store and it's been there for awhile. I'm so glad I did. Now I do feel the staff should maybe buff up a little bit on their industry knowledge. But overall they were helpful and very nice. The thing that really got me was they don't lie about them prices. They really are the lowest. I was in the market for a smaller but powerful shop vac. I priced one there at $39.99. Seemed good but I had to be sure, Amazon which is usually my go to had the same vac for $80 ( double the price) 🤯🤯Needless to say I will be going back and back when in need of other home renovation items they are truly the lower priced outfit on the block. Recommend!!!

Get the tools that you want for a little cheaper. They are not the best tools, but they do the job.

Tools and equipment.

Harbor Freight is like a real Italian Deli: I want everything!
They carry things that professionals use such as specialty tools like a tube flaring tool or radiator pressure Tester or a dust collector etc.
So much cool stuff just in case I need it one day. Quality is sometimes lower but prices are also very low and they offer better quality sets for higher budgets.

We don't get here as much as I would like but if they keep a good stock time will tell.

Managers in all area stores do not understand value of keeping a vast detailed stock even if the item sits, it is about helping people not how many you sell.
If the company sells it, you should have it and if it shows in stock online, make sure you have in store and it can be found.
Harbor Freight seems to do this pretty well.

The staff at East Stroudsburg Harbor Freight was the surprise. Friendly and asked if they could help!
Cashiers are great, say hello and goodbye! Make you feel welcome.

Compare? East Stroudsburg Home Depot comparison: Make you feel like they dislike their job and "you are not the one who signs my paycheck" mentality. There are some polite people but nobody is very effective.
So many times Home Depot shows in stock online but calling them to verify is a very bad experience and items are often not in stock or difficult to find once you get to the store especially if there shows less than 5 in stock.
If shows 2 un stock the employee gives up then and there.

Many times there is actually one somewhere in stock but staff will not go the extra yard to help find it even if you really need the thing. Landscape equipment, generators, contractor tools etc. are all in disarray. Lots of barbecues though.

Difficult to find help and when we do pin down a wandering worker they blow you off, less of a selection of tools by far and poor stocking practices in general for suburban home owners or professionals compared to other Home Depot stores in Jersey and Long Island. Not open to any feedback or requests.

Yet Depot has many redundant toilet parts, lumber and many more things that Harbor Freight does not.
Home depot has Home services like kitchen stuff, carpet, shades etc.
But....
Depot almost never has advertised specials (such as buy a tool get a free battery as an example) always (and I mean always!) have an empty display 1 day into a 1 week sale and plenty of excuses. No way to get workers to help with raincheck etc.

Harbor Freight brings much needed competition but still need to do better for online ordering.

Lowes is in our town too but their tool section is truly lacking. Try getting help in East Stroudsburg Lowes tool area. Good luck.

So when it comes to tools and general equipment Harbor Freight brings much needed resource to East Stroudsburg.

We want all local businesses to do well but they are the captain of their own ships.

I love this place! Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Greatest place for clamps!!
They have a nice variety of items that are just as good (sometimes better) then the same stuff you pay a lot more for at the big box stores.
April 2023 update, still a great palce to shop with a great staff.
