I don't understand the negativity about this hotel. I went out of my way to check for any stains, damage, bugs, mold, or anything else I have read in other reviews. There was a bleach, "clean hotel" smell that was not overpowering but rather quite pleasant. I almost cancelled due to some of the pictures and other reviews. The room was large, the bed was soft and comfy. Large selection of TV channels. Plenty of HOT unrestricted shower flow. Breakfast was standard continental fare with a few hot options. The breakfast area was VERY large and the seating was decorated for Christmas and was VERY clean. But, Tbh there is a ton of great breakfast places in the area - so it's good for a quick snack before you partake in one. The room attendants were friendly and said hello while passing in the hallway. Towels were fluffy, without holes. Sheets were clean with NO stains. I even checked around the mattress, behind the headboard (to plug in my phone), no trash/debris of any kind behind the furniture. It is a dog friendly hotel. I saw a few friendly ones that did not make noise of any kind. There is a 7-11 right next door to get ANYTHING you might want. The area is nice, safe, and within a mile of the main commercial area. Look, Williamsburg like any other vacation area gets bombarded with tourists during the summer. And, it's probably hard to keep up with maintaining rooms with current staffing issues for any hotel. Maybe that is what other reviewers experienced is the end of the season wear and tear? I don't know. Give the property a chance.

Brought a large group and found the rooms clean, the location exactly as we needed, the breakfast great, and the front desk service patient and accommodating.

Great room and service. I wish the bathroom had a fob. Tons of TV channels. Good locations

My boyfriend and my dog stayed there this past weekend and, it was amazing service. We were going to a fishing tournament near by. We had this one women, Shadaijne, (sorry if I misspelled) who was extremely helpful with making sure we got our boat to charge. Talk about going the extra mile with us and very patient and sweet.
And the bed was way more comfortable then we thought. Definitely would come back here again. And everything you can think of is within a minute or so from the hotel.

I have stay in five star hotels, spend tones of money and then got horrible customer service, spent more money on nasty food than it's worth and often leave disappointed. This location is the cheapest in the area by 100$ when I booked, comes with FREE (tasty) hot breakfast. Staff is pleasant and courteous. You can tell they put a lot of effort into making the location nice. The entire building is chilled, room air/heat works great. Beds were soft, 3 soft pillows per queen bed and it is a actual queen, sheets were clean, no bugs, water was hot with good pressure in the shower. Microwave in the room is a nice touch not always offered. Parking is on-site free and convenient. 10 minutes to bush gardens or water country. Draw space is limited but I never use that. Very family oriented. I value my privacy and space and feel that's respected here. This was a scouting trip with my 11 and 14 year old who love it. I will return next week with my husband and our 1 & 4 year old.

Gem of a hotel! I have stayed at many Wyndham hotels in the area while I am here under contract for work. This hotel, by far, gives you the most bang for your buck. For the price you would expect it to be lacking in services, for renovations or other reasons. This is not the case. Everything that I am looking for in a hotel was provided- my must haves along with amenities that are desirable but not a deal breaker. It was only a few dollars more a night than the other hotels that were a close second or 3rd place, but with the availability of the microwave, mini fridge and cardio room, this hotel blew them away!
There was ample parking. The lobby was nice. There is a printer and computer for guest use. The rooms were updated, and clean. The bed was comfortable. The WIFI , A/C and tv/cable were all in good working order. The pool was available and clean. The breakfast was continental PLUS eggs, bacon sausage, French toast and a waffle maker. There is onsite guest laundry. There is a cardio room. The weight room was unavailable, but there were dumbbells available in the cardio room. The ellipticals were working. The rooms were insulated enough that, although I could hear guests in the next room from the hall, I COULD NOT HEAR THEM FROM MY ROOM! As a person who has to work and needs her sleep, I cant tell you how I appreciated this aspect.
I am almost afraid to leave this review, because for the price, they may be booked up and unavailable for me.
This will be my go to whenever I am in the area. I have found my home away from home!

Everything you pay for and then some.

This is a great place to stay with a pet, especially if you don't want to pay an extra fee each night. Room was fairly clean when we checked in, but there are a few things here and there that you can tell aren't brand new (like a slightly broken picture frame, and the handle on the bathroom sink being a little loose - but it still works great).

Breakfast is terrific with lots of choices - bacon, eggs, instant oatmeal packets, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juices, and the highlight for my family - A WAFFLE MAKER! yum!

The breakfast is full service. You get choices of omlets, scrambled eggs, French toast, and your choice of bacon, sausage, and the famous waffles. The staff is polite and if you are in need of anything they go above and beyond. The manager Derrick is amazing. He's approachable, and easy to talk to. He doesn't treat you like a number like most hotels. He's definitely on top of things and the guests are his number one priority. No pet fees. Rooms are cleaned to COVID standards. Ives stayed in many hotels and this by far is the most guest orientated hotel. Thank You Derrick and staff.

Yes, the rooms are a lil dated but who cares about their decor if the price point is acceptable?

1. The staff are all accommodating & friendly
2. The hot breakfast is great with many different options to choose from
3. Our dog is as welcomed there as we are & that's priceless in itself.
4. The pool is now open again
5. It's a safe, clean hotel & your basic needs are provided.
5. It's close to the Williamsburg outlets, restaurants, & the Busch Gardens theme parks. 🙂

The room had an ironing board and an iron. The staff was very attentive.

We were in the area visiting my son and needed a place to stay due to power being off in his neighborhood. We had tried multiple places and no one was able to accommodate us due to us having 2 dogs. The young lady working the desk was extremely nice and gave us a great rate and a perfect room. (unable to remember her name). The next day the staff was equally accommodating.( Young lady working the desk on the second day was Fox). They also offered complimentary breakfast. The rooms were extremely clean and they accept dogs. All of the staff was very friendly. If you are in the Williamsburg area definitely should look at staying with La Quinta!

My recent stay at this La Quinta was far beyond my expectations. Although it is pet friendly, we stayed in a room on an upper floor, which was pet-free. The room was clean, and the housekeeping was punctual and polite. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast included many choices that are not commonly found on continental breakfasts. Cheap rates were enough to book this hotel, but this experience will certainly have me booking here again!

Room was nice and clean. We arrived at 8pm and I asked for extra pillows and the woman at the front desk said she would need about 10 min to get them up to my room and she was spot on. The breakfast was good with lots of choices for different kinds of diets. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked. The elevator worked well as we were on the 4th floor.

Good experience. Clean room. Comfortable beds and bedroom. Great breakfast seating areas. Good and typical continental La Quinta breakfast. The wait staff was very warm, friendly, and helpful, especially with the busy breakfast crowds. My only complaint was that only half the parking was convenient while the other half was down a small hill in the back. If they add swipe card sensors for after hours access then arriving at night won't be a problem. The parking itself was well lit and spacious.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. It was only place we could find that did not charge a crazy pet fee ( they don’t charge any pet fee). Pet fees in the area can go from $15 a night to $150 non refundable. Plus the room prices were very reasonable. I was surprised at how nice and clean the room was for the price. The staff was helpful.
The only issues we had were that the heater was making a loud buzzing noise on our last night there and the curtains didn’t keep any light out (they were sheer) and you couldn’t close them.
I recommend staying here. It’s close to everything and well worth it for the price.

Staff was very nice and professional. Very clean and cozy. The only complaint I have is that the pillows were way to small and there were only 3 has most people sleep with 2. The Cable needs an upgrade as there is no TV guide or menu on the tv and there’s only a few available channels. I will definitely stay here again.

Came through to celebrate my Birthday. Me and my family and friends had a great time! The rooms were great and the staff was very friendly. It was great to swim in the pool. Everything was very clean. I really enjoyed my room! I look forward to visiting again!

Stopped here on our return from Va beach where we paid four times more for our room. This didn't have all the amenities but the staff was great. Clean comfortable beds and room. Went to Colonial Williamsburg. Booked for one night and decided to stay another. Breakfast could use an upgrade on plates and utensils. It was clean and food was okay. Great coffee. Young woman Sarafino was exceptional. She is truly an asset to this hotel and the reason we didn't move to an upscale hotel for our last night on VA.

Second time we have stayed. Quiet, basic place. We always get put in this one area so not sure how the rest of the hotel is and due to pandemic we didn't even try to go to breakfast although I think they had bag breakfast. Beds are actually really comfy. Room is basic. Wish the tv was bigger and internet was better but it was storming. Parking lot is always packed. The other dogs seem to be nice. Check in and out was really easy each time.
