A wonderful, old styled hotel in a perfect location. The historic building is well maintained by the owners and we really enjoyed staying here! It is perfectly located in Winter Garden with access to the West Orange Trail right across the street where we rented bikes and enjoyed the day. Close enough to Orlando to easily go if you want, yet far enough from the Orlando madness to enjoy a more quiet area. They offer you some tasty breakfast options and all the staff are friendly & helpful! Both restaurants we ate at (Chef’s Table & the Thai Blossom) were delicious.
We will be back!!

Happened across this place last year and liked it so much I planned a trip back with my sisters. We stayed in the king 2-br suite, which was a king, full, and twin bed with a jack & jill style bathroom between the two rooms, and a sink in each. Only complaint about the room (same as the last stay) is you can really only use hot water to shower because if you have any cold water on, it will intermittently hit you with an icy blast. But it's a very old building and not a big enough deal to get worked up about.

I was more than a little apprehensive about the religious materials everywhere, but to each their own, the staff are tremendous. The place is extremely charming, a 2-star rating is underselling it by a lot. The first time here we actually abandoned our room in a 4-star Orlando resort and stayed here instead. It's not new/pristine luxury, but it's a well cared-for historic hotel run by people that are personally invested in it.

The included breakfast was phenomenal, made-to-order from a full menu and everything I had was perfect. The staff were, to a person, extremely helpful and kind. Hannah especially deserves special mention for dealing with our headache of a moving target check-in date & time. I dealt with Alicia over email and she helped adjust our reservation and the entire experience was 10x better and easier than dealing with a corporate hotel.

Overall the hotel is a fantastic value, the people are tremendous, the location is perfect (park your car at check-in and you won't need it again until you leave), and it's the reason Winter Garden (and the Edgewater specifically) is going to be my go-to weekend trip spot as long as it remains.

The room wasn't real big, but big enough and luxuriously furnished. Wonderful folks prepare a great breakfast and you sit around a large table while visiting with other overnighters . Located in quaint small town Winter Garden where you can walk outside and have a glass of wine while listening to music or stroll down the sidewalk with lit up trees in the evening or enjoy a wide variety of eateries. Makes for a lovely evening.

Our group rented out the entire hotel for the weekend of my daughter's wedding.

I can't say enough good things about my/our experience!

My experience started back in April when the groom's mother and I stopped by to see the hotel. A staff member took us on a guided tour of the hotel, and she spent a great deal of time giving us information on the hotel and its services.

After I reserved the hotel for our event, I called MANY times to place someone in a room or just to ask additional questions. EVERY time that I called, the staff members were extremely polite, professional, and went the extra mile to help me.

The hotel has a great dining room / living room common area that our large used frequently. It is an excellent set up for a large group. We had plenty of space to socialize.

I've seen in some of the other reviews that people were disappointed with the lack of modern conveniences at the hotel. It is a HISTORIC building, so of course some of the features are not going to be state-of-the-art, but the rooms were all very clean and in working order. The beds were very comfortable.

ALL of our guests just raved about the service that they received while at the hotel. We were personally escorted to our rooms. The breakfasts were fantastic, and the service for the breakfasts was excellent. The hotel provided FREE drinks and snacks during our entire stay (available all day and nighy).

The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Winter Garden which is a very quaint area with various shops and excellent restaurants. There were also multiple bars where the wedding party and their friends could hang out.

Last, but not least, the room prices are very reasonable - quite a bit less than any of the nicer hotels in the area. We also received an additional discount on each room since we had a large group.

I highly recommend this hotel - especially if you have a large group! I can't thank them all enough for making our stay such a pleasant experience!

There are several fine dining restaurants in this historic hotel. We went to the Chef's Table for Mother's Day brunch. While we didn't stay at the hotel, we did enjoy the experience of seeing the decor .

Nice old hotel run like a b&b. Clean room. Great common area for meals. Very good breakfast included. Inexpensive. Great Winter Garden location right on the Main Street. (Plant St. ).

A great little place! Right in the middle of town. Breakfast was fabulous. We loved our 2 room suite. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wish the hot water would have been a little warmer. And we were disappointed that the ice cream shop in the building closed early.

I had an amazing bachelorette weekend thanks to the amazing folks at Historic Edgewater Hotel. Stephan and Lila and all the awesome staff helped us every step of the way. I'm extremely grateful for all they did for us, because they went above and beyond, to make our stay memorable. As the bride, I can't wait to come back with my husband.

First of all, I feel like I uncovered an amazing hidden gem noone knew about. My friend and I only discovered this bed and breakfast because we walked by one night on Plant Street and by happenstance decided to look up. After our wonderful stay here, everyone has expressed how amazed they have been by my discovery of this treasure.

From their accommodations during check-in for our large party (all arriving at different times), to their help with storing our luggage during check out, they staff have been super helpful every step of the way.

Parking: Requires an overnight decal but I was advised we can park both in the hotel lot or the public lot behind the hotel. Free parking.

Rooms: Every room had very unique decorations! If you're uncomfortable with dolls... well, not every room has one. My room did have a doll with a skirt covering the extra toilet paper. The walls to the hallway are thin but I slept next to the dining room and I didn't hear anything. We had some problems figuring out the bath fixtures but even late at night the staff was available to help us. All the rooms were clean and comfy.

Common spaces: There's a couple sofas in the small open space on the 2nd floor, but there's an amazing outdoor seating area where I wish I got to spend more time at! It kept out the rain but kept the nice breeze. The only downside was the smokers.

Breakfast: The made to order breakfast was amazing. You make a reservation for your party for breakfast starting at 8am. Even without the breakfast, the dining area is fully stocked with self service food and snacks including teas, keurig for coffee, fruit bowls, cereals, chips and also candy bowls in the hallways! We also tried the award winning brunch at the Tasting Room downstairs of the hotel.

My only complaint is the thinness of the walls (three of my group couldn't sleep because of a loud snoring neighbor), my bathroom door didn't close all the way, and the decision to put large decor in the rooms that blocked access to the closets. It was funny that one room had a large trunk in front of the closet and another had a whole barbershop chair.

For the great value and the coziness, I would highly recommend for a staycation.

Great location, customer service and breakfast. Not to mention how impeccable and clean the rooms are. We LOVE it and definitely will come back. Laila is super sweet. She even remembered our daughter was in a dance competition and when we came back she asked us how did she do

easily one of the best hotel stays of my life. the rooms are small and cozy, and the bthrooms are quirky- you have to baby the shower knobs, and the TV in the room is only Freevee. But the common areas are beautiful and stocked with snacks and drinks, the location is amazing, and the staff is super friendly. No sleeping in though, the music starts at 8am sharp!

This was a wonderful historic location. The staff that I interacted with were very friendly and the breakfast included in the stay was better than any hotel I've been in. It truly felt like a restaurant. On top of this the whole place was very clean and well taken care of. All of this at such an amazing price! Very happy and will recommend anyone going to this area to stay here.

We greatly enjoyed the rooms and area. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic! My daughter loved her room and special pancakes every morning. The history of the hotel was shown in the decorative touches everywhere. We will be back next year and can't wait! Like stepping back in time with the check in desk and the original elevator.

Have not been yet but my girl loves the look outside when we bike ride. Thinking about booking a night just for the experience with her.

We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary at this most delightful. Hotel! From the moment we walked in the door we were mesmerized by the authenticity of the atmosphere and surroundings! It was very clean and comfortable and the staff were outstanding. The breakfast and that unusual dining area completed the package of a superb get-away!

Great historic inn in the heart of an awesome downtown!! The rooms are so comfy with great atmosphere. We had a bedroom and a separate sitting room. Everything is so clean. The breakfast was outstanding!! There’s old fashioned cabinets and decor donuts such a nostalgic place to enjoy. Snacks are always available for guest day or night in the kitchen. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. We can’t wait to stay again!!

The Edge Water hotel in Winter Garden, Florida has such a cute well preserved vintage feel to it. You can tell that a lot of love and time has been put into keeping its historical value in such great condition. Even the location was perfect for our travel plans to Disney World. It made for a very short drive from the Hotel.

The rooms were extremely comfortable and the perfect size for my family. I loved how they left prepared baskets with our towels and shower items for us to use.

The staff there were very friendly and accommodating. They really made the atmosphere feel welcoming for us and were always so delightful to be around. Seriously such a great Bed & Breakfast. By far one of my favorites to stay at thus far. I will definitely be returning to stay here and will be recommending it to others.

A gem in the heart of Winter Garden. This bed and breakfast style hotel was a wonderful surprise. While B&B possess lots of charm they aren't always the most comfortable. The Edgewater Inn has plenty of charm and comfort. The antiques are genuine but the mattresses are modern as well as the pillows which make for a great night's sleep (my husband is 6'5" and he fit comfortably) . Our room also had a couch. There are some fun details to be found on the balcony outside with outlets so I was able to work outside. The breakfast was simple but good and Lila is a great hostess (she checked us in and also served our breakfast the next day). Most importantly.. the coffee was hot and there were plenty of options. The rooms were very clean and smelled fresh. The location can't be beat as you can walk out the door to a plethora of restaurants and shops. We'll definitely be back when we visit Winter Garden again.
