Ciopinot Seafood Grille

Great selection of local wines and fresh seafood. I enjoyed one of the specials, which included breaded and fried sole - absolutely delicious! The fish was super flaky and delicate, tasted fresh, and was prepared perfectly. It felt like our food showed up within minutes of ordering it. Service was friendly and prompt, we felt welcomed as soon as we stepped in the door. Overall great experience!

The crab cakes here are the best on the west coast. Seriously. The food here is SOOO delicious. Try the bacon-wrapped cheese stuffed prawns. They always have a selection of the freshest catch of the day as well as juicy filet mignons, yummy salads and flavorful pastas. This is the perfect date night or pre-theater dinner spot if you're a seafood lover. Excellent and knowledgeable wait staff as well as delicious wine and cocktail selection. Decadent dining experience that doesn't break the bank!

The food was great, delicious and arranged beautifully. I had attentive service and the winner selection was paired expertly! I loved the while ambience!

Ok, so we started a brewery tour from Pismo through Edna Valley with the intent on ending up here for a 6 pm reservation. We were greeted promptly and seated right away. Server explained all specials and answered all menu questions we had with expertise. They even let me taste a few local craft beers before I decided on something. We had the Sauteed mushrooms for appetizer, which were very tasty. I might mention that this is one of few places that does offer Australian Lobster tail; hard to find with so many offering Maine tail. I will tell you though, $80 was steep for Lobster Tail but it's all about supply and demand. I had the upgraded Cioppinot with the crab cake in it and it was the best I ever had. The broth was so rich and flavourful with lots of shrimp, scallops, calamari, fish, mussels, and clams. Simply amazing and the leftovers were great heated up in microwave a few days later. Creme Brulee was good for dessert as was the special Blueberry Cobbler a la mode. This place is pricey and Cioppinot is obviously there focus and I highly recommend it.

Great atmosphere, very well prepared meals. Super fresh seafood. Delicious preparations. Excellent salads and desserts. Free corkage for local wines. Enjoy!

Dinner was fantastic! I had the swordfish and it was perfectly cooked. The server forgot a few of the sides we ordered but after letting her know they showed up immediately. Love that they do not have a corkage fee if you want to bring your own bottle of wine. Whiskey/ bourbon selection was a bit slim pickings but over all great experience.
Cobbler is a must for dessert.

Great seafood restaurant. Lots of fish (and some non fish) items available on the menu. Everything was delicious - even something as simple as the Caesar salad. Service was excellent and they were able to accommodate a party of 14+, each individual with their own check. A bit more on the pricey side, but worth it - food was great!

Excellent, kind staff. You can really tell everyone is committed to the restaurants’ success. Food has always been wonderful and elegantly prepared and staff is always kind and helpful. It’s warm in the restaurant, in a good way. Quite inviting and great ambiance. Do yourself a favor...go here, it’s the whole package!

Came last minute for dinner with my fiancee. The chef was amazing. Stayed open for us. Anne was great. Food was delicious! We will come back.

amazing food and service. the beet salad was very tasty. flat iron steak was tasty and cooked to a nice medium rare. we had the cioppino was amazing too. the waiter kept our bread container and water glasses full. easy parking beside the building. we left so full and satisfied.

Been a few times now. I love that I can bring my own dusty old bottle of wine with no corkage fee. Very professional wait staff. Always some great specials, but I love the Cioppino. It's becoming our favorite celebration spot.

Food was very delicious and I think it's incredibly generous for the place to allow you to open 4 bottles of your own wine without any corkage fee. Our waitress was very patient with my grandmother who can be very indecisive when prompted for a selection.

This place was SERIOUSLY so good. I love seafood, my Fiance does not. I was able to convince him to come, and shared the bacon wrapped prawns, and they were soo good. He even ate 2 asking if this is how shrimp is supposed to taste, because its actually good! For dinner I got the mixed platter with Chilean seabass, shrimp, swordfish, and snapper. I had his try each, and he was also impressed by each. He got a steak, and was raving about how tender and delicious it was. Our server was great and was able to give us recommendations, and really detail what was in the specials, and dishes I was trying to decide between. Such a great experience here!

Great job ! I wasn't actually planning to have lunch there but the waiter invited us in and said we can make you anything that you want. Started off with Ahi poke, then chilled prawns. Absolutely wonderful !
Our waiter suggested a Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot so we had a bottle. Then we each had the diver scallops !

Really enjoy everything about Ciopinot. From the simple yet warm interior to the service to the quality of the food. Portions are big, incredibly fresh and big on flavor. The scallops and crabcakes are especially delectable. And even though you'll probably be full, order the Butterfinger pie. It's a masterpiece of a dessert. The fudge sauce, wow! I also can't tell you how much I appreciate being able to bring in my own local wine and not be charged an outrageous corkage fee. That alone will keep me coming back.

My life changed forever at this restaurant. Dinner was amazing, and we were seated with a waterfall background. Little did I know that my then boyfriend had contacted the restaurant to arrange a marriage proposal. Thank you to the wonderful staff for helping make this an unforgettable experience.

Wonderful food and really fun and inventive drinks. The cioppino lives up to the hype. The seafood is fresh. The martini with the oyster in it should not work, but it works extremely well and is a delicious fun cocktail with great flavor and a little spice.

A very special place for us when visiting SLO. It was our anniversary and the food was very good. You never know what apitizing specials they might have that day. Can't go wrong with the fresh oysters. Great service too!

Amazing! The food is always fresh and prepared perfectly. The staff is well trained, knowledgeable and attentive without being obtrusive. Both seafood and meats are good, so can be difficult to decide which one to have. The no -work cioppino is da bomb! It is pricey but well worth every penny.

Great food, great service, lively staff, energetic atmosphere (lot of people). People vote with their feet here. So expect a crowd on the weekend, but let this encourage you, that you are in for a treat. And I really liked them stating they NEVER add gratuity regardless of party size, which is a pet peeve of mine. So kudos Ciopinot!
