Anna Maria Oyster Bar on the Pier

Beautiful restaurant on the pier with stunning water/bridge views. Great service, delicious food! There are shore birds who patrol for food scraps and I commend the staff for trying to keep them at bay. If you would be bothered by them, eat inside. We didn't mind.

We're lucky when came early yesterday afternoon, because the restaurant was really busy after that. The food is good, large portion. I love the atmosphere here, beautiful and peaceful.
We enjoyed fishing in the pier behind the restaurant. There's a shop at the front that we can hire fishing rod and buy bait. Great experience.

We were driving around the island since we just arrived and stumbled onto this area. So cool. Feels like a key west vibe. Our first stop was at Anna Maria Oyster Bar for a drink. Decided on an appetizer of smoked fish spread. The drinks were fair but inexpensive. The fish spread was tasty. Anytime you can eat and drink watching the water is beautiful. There was one bartender. She handled the bar and restaurant and did the best she could under those circumstances.

We had a great meal here. The popularity of this place is evident: we waited 30 minutes for a table early on a weekday evening. But it was well worth it. Service was quick and friendly, and the teamwork between the staff was evident. The food was delicious. We had the smoked fish dip to start and it was excellent. I had whole snapper as entree, and it was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Maybe the best 'house salad' as a side. It came with blueberries and goat cheese... yummy. I'll definitely be back.

Our 3rd AMOB dinner location did not disappoint, although parking is difficult. Our server Emily greeted us with a genuine smile and was very attentive given a packed restaurant. The views of water surrounded us while we dined. Our meals came quickly and were prepared with experience. Blackened swordfish, slaw, and cheese grits for me, and shrimp and grits for my wife. Highly recommend!!!

Waitress was amazing. First time trying grits, OMG definitely will have again. Oysters fresh and tasty. We shared fried clams and shrimp delicious! Will be going back so many options.

Unique experience on the water. Got the grouper bites special and they were pretty good. Daughter and I really enjoyed the bowls. She got the chicken and I got the tuna poke. The house margarita was really good as well. Though we’re were early I can see this being a great happy hour spot.

Just went tonight and had an absolutely amazing time and food, sat on the water and was served by Amanda, She was super kind and friendly. The food was fantastic and couldn’t have asked for anything else. Priced fairly and service was quick! Are biggest regret is finding this place on our last night :(

Delicious food and great water views, limited seating inside and out is part of the charm. Group of three had only a short wait to be seated. Quick and friendly service. Good variety of seafood and you can walk all the way out on the pier. Free public day docks available. Grouper sandwich, although pricey, was delicious with a sweet bun.

I only down score the service as stood at a sign that said please wait here to be seated only to be told, you cant wait there you will have to go outside.
Was told nothing else, outside for how long ? Nothing no explanation . There were empty tables clearly visible too.

Went and sat at the bar and experience changed straight away. Couldn't have been more helpfull if he tried.

We had a group of four and this was our first time to try this place out. We started out with an appetizer and it was fresh and delecious. We all tried out different entrees and all of them were excellent. Mattison was our server and her attention to detail and her friendly attitude made for a nice dinner. Parking can be a little tight depending on the time of day you visit. There is inside and outside seating with a view off of the pier. This was one of the most satisfying meals we had on vacation in all the area.

Came back to add to my review because Linda went above and beyond to make things right. We had a wonderful dinner; the food was delicious, our server Susi was helpful and attentive and the view of the water incredible. Can’t wait to come back again!

Well I can’t even review the food because we never got in. We got there at 4:15, were told it would be a 30-45 minute wait which we gladly took. After an hour went back to check on things and told we were next. After an hour and a half went back again and were told they gave our table away and we could wait another 45 minutes. No apology, when we asked to speak to a manager the host just shrugged and said the manager wouldn’t do anything. Horrible experience.

My server was Courtney. She was so friendly, extremely helpful. She recommended the Chipotle and Tequila Lime oysters. Honestly, I’ve tried a ton of oysters in Florida and all so overtly baked, greasy, etc.. these were perfect! Absolutely delicious and I’m happy I asked for the servers recommendation. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ thanks to the staff for giving me such a wonderful experience while visiting my mom!

A great location. Awesome food with a unique view. Some very cool little shops within a short walk and you can take a charter boat out from right next door.

Our friends brought us here in their boat at the Bradenton Beach dock. Amazing lunch. The four of us had the Wolf Fish and Grouper sandwich, Cheese Grits, Fish and Chips and house salad. Everything was delicious. Drinks were very reasonable too. Would love to visit again. (Were visiting from Boston)

We walked in to see the servers and cooks with genuine smiles on their faces. They all seemed to really enjoy what they do! So refreshing!
The drinks and food were delicious.
No surprise that the oysters were THE BEST I'd ever eaten!
Flounder was a favorite as well.
Water view from the Pier created an un unforgettable dining experience.

While sightseeing in the area on a rainy night we saw the clock tower and all the lights. Once we realized that there was a restaurant on the pier we went inside and were greeted with a smile and quickly seated. We started with a local draft and tried the Crab Stack. Really yummy and delicious. We tried a dozen baked oysters with cheesy garlic and Rockefeller which were really tasty. I could have eaten two dozen but it was getting dark and cold out so decided to call it a night. Highly recommend this place as the staff were very friendly and made our visit very enjoyable.

Jeremiah was a great server!! Haven’t been here in years and missed it. Great view and the lobster tail was yummy. We got wings, a burger, and lobster meal. Parking can be pricey around the shops if it’s a busy day though (no spots were available to park at the actual restaurant during peak time).

Excellent service..waiter very attentive. Excellent oysters..Best conch fritters I've ever ordered..normally too much dough so center not cooked..Excellent hush puppies too..then there's the doggie service...one bowl of chilled water. We'll be back

My boyfriend and I live in Utah, but we come to Sarasota every year to visit family and this place has become our “go to” for date nights. Oysters are amazing, the clam chowders is delicious 🤤 as well as the Piña colada. The employees are always very friendly and the sunsets breathtaking. Highly recommend it.

Ps: We have this silly game where we have to guess how many costumers visit a restaurant on a busy day and the one with the closets number will not pay for the bill. My boyfriend said 300 and I said 350 people. When we asked the server, they actually serve over 500 people 🤯 now, we all know why they are always busy 😂
