Gem In & Out

It's Spring Break for my kids, so I grabbed Gem In & Out for their lunch! Very busy even for a Tuesday, so I opted to go inside instead of the drive-thru. The service was super friendly and very quick! I only waited in the dining area for a few minutes. The VALUE is insane! I ordered the special (promoted on their roadside sign): 5 burgers & 2 large orders of fries for $19.99. My kids annihilated it! For myself, I ordered a grilled chicken wrap: spicy, with ranch. It was absolutely scrumptious, with the perfect ratio of chicken, lettuce, cheese, and sauces.

Absolutely fantastic place the family to get some good, old fashioned food in a old fashioned place. At the time of writing, we were able to get 5 cheese burgers, a large fry, a large tater tots, and 2 large (very large) shakes for just over $31. And the food across the board was better than mcdonald's or anything else fast food. The service was top notch. I counted 11 people in the kitchen, which blew me away to be honest. But the food was made fast, so 11 people checks out. Any time I went to the counter, they'd stop what they were doing and come see what I needed, and get what I asked for immediately. Definitely adding this place to our regular places to go.

I've been coming here since I was a small child. Excellent food burgers especially. You won't find too many more burger joints that still have that unique mom n pops feel like this place. I highly recommend anyone who is close and hungry should give it a try. I think you would be pleasantly surprised.

Best Hamburger Joint around Canyon/Ada County. The food is amazing and it's the Cheapest Hamburger around! The service is one of a kind, they are fast but genuinely care about you as a person. Family atmosphere, definitely feel welcomed with every visit 💞💞

I can’t speak to atmosphere since I used the drive up, but the small order I made was done just right. Perfect, in fact. I needed to eat and I hadn’t that day. I like my burgers with just certain condiments., and I prefer a toasted or grilled bun. They toast the buns, thankfully and then they put on just the condiments that I wanted. That burger was awesome! I’ll go by again when I’m in town. Hopefully, a second follow up review will reflect the same results. The service and the food, so far, are a two thumbs up for me! Thanks!

Awesome fast food joint... Great American fare with a slight Idaho twist. Burgers fries hot dogs sandwiches tots all sorts of drinks.... Get the southwestern buccaneer double Patty with large tots and a drink... You'll be very happy... Staff is always helpful pricing a standard for good tasting food in a business being able to make a small profit in 2024.

We took a while to order (it's been 10 years since I've eaten here) and they were still so polite and respectful! Great staff and great food. I'll definitely come back everytime I'm visiting!

Hey GEM, I came in today (07/15/24) because I saw your FB post. I love to eat local and especially mom and pops places. I had a hot dog a burger, curly fries a shake and a PEPSI. AMAZING FOOD and HOSPITALITY... I've found a great new place in my hometown. Thank you for no coke to. I'll see soon.

My wife and I are visiting our grandparents from South TX, and they kept bragging about their favorite burger joint, Gem In & Out. I ordered the double Southwest buccaneer burger with onion rings, and let me tell you; it was the best burger I have ever had: crispy bacon, chard beef, and a little messy “perfect.” We were so impressed with dinner that we ordered a bacon maple eclair, which was made to order. All the staff members were polite and friendly and seemed to enjoy being there. We will go back before heading to Texas for lunch or breakfast.

Went this afternoon for the first time even though it does not have the most appetizing look in this picture the chicken burger and curly fries were awesome. It’s obviously and old school burger joint, and definitely still have their old school style of making burgers that still give it a good taste. Today this combo was on special for $9.00 when normally this meal goes for $11.50. Curly fries aren’t extra nor is the drink as it comes in a meal.
Don’t take this places looks for-granted as it looks like they do have a lot to offer.

Love stopping at Gem In & Out every time we are in Caldwell. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food is made to order and definitely worth the trip. Unlike some of national fast food chains that keep increasing their prices, Gem In & Out is surprising affordable.

Cool little restaurant. Small town style for sure. The pricing was pretty fair and expected. Food was good. Definitely a little cramped if you dine in but not too bad! Would definitely go to it if I was in the area

Been looking for a great burger place to eat with the family , and we found it. Best burgers the whole fam love them ,which is a shocker lol. Love the atmosphere and will definitely be going back 10 out of 10 recommend.

Good burgers especially the double gem burger with cheese and ham everything was delicious from the drink to the fries definitely will be back again.

Delicious and different. Had great fries that weren't too salty just the perfect amount. It's also a nice change to have ham on a burger. The menu seems to have a lot of variety.

SIMPLY amazing!!! Old school hamburger joint, Clean and respectable, an amazing staff. The food Rivals any fast food joint...You definitely get what u pay for and more. Great prices aswell. The food is scrumptious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have the best onion rings the fry sauce is to die for and the buccaneer burger omg once again you out did yourself thank you for an awesome dinner

Best burgers & fries in the valley! We drive from Boise at least once a week for their Gemburge combo. It's that good!
