After years of feeling overlooked by my previous healthcare provider, I decided to venture into the realm of Direct Primary Care/Concierge medicine. Initially skeptical, my diligent research led me to Upper Echelon Medical, where Dr. Marisse Herrera's approach felt like a breath of fresh air.

From the outset, Dr. Herrera's warmth and attentiveness made me feel genuinely seen and heard, a stark contrast to the rushed interactions I'd grown accustomed to. Unlike any doctor I've encountered, she delved into aspects of my health emphasizing a whole body approach to care that extended far beyond the immediate symptoms that I went in for - cough and congestion. Dr. Herrera's concern for my overall well-being, including sleep, exercise, diet, and mental health, truly epitomized the essence of what I feel healthcare should be. I felt safe, nurtured and cared for.

Her comprehensive care and the time she dedicated to our appointment (over an hour!) underscored a genuine passion for her patients' health and happiness. The expertise in osteopathic therapy, particularly the OMT technique, provided immediate and remarkable relief for my sinus issues. After weeks of discomfort and sleepless nights, I fell asleep at 8:30 pm that night and had an amazing sleep! Dr. Herrera did an office visit for a family member of mine who had extreme complex condition and on the verge of passing away.

Dr. Herrera spent more than 2 hours with us going over options. Not only did she extend utmost professionalism as a provider but her countless follow up to give advice and also to see how our family member is doing genuinely warms the heart.

Dr Kevin Oei was very accommodating when I needed my COVID vaccine booster. The whole experience was easy, quick, and painless. His office is in a very nice building in Fullerton, is decorated nicely, and feels upscale. Dr. Oei answered a few questions I had about the booster dose and shared some insight about the pandemic that made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend Dr Oei and am choosing to be a patient of his going forward!

My experience with Dr. Oei has been nothing but stellar! I have been a patient of his for the last year and what I have found is that he is great at not only helping me get better, but helping me understand what went wrong in the first place. I have had a few OMT sessions with him to fix some femoral nerve pain that I had after having COVID, and it has been tremendously helpful. I plan to have a few more sessions over the next few months. Also, most of my prescriptions that I've received have been affordable and readily accessible from his office. It saves me trips to the pharmacy and saves me money. If you're looking for a great PCP in the area that will look out for you, look no farther!

I came to Dr. Oei since I was looking for an osteopathic physician in the area who practices osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). OMT is one of the very few things that help with my chronic neck pain. I do not have health insurance being in a job transition and working on a per diem basis, but he was willing to work with me for a reasonably priced OMT package. Unlike some physicians, especially those who associate themselves with a big organization, he is very quick to answer any questions or concerns I had - just a text or an e-mail away! As an osteopathic physician myself, I believe that he is very adept in identifying and treating musculoskeletal dysfunctions, what we call "somatic dysfunction." After every session, my neck pain decreases a bit and I could sidebend it a little more. If you're interested in using OMT as a treatment modality (which I hope you are!), do not expect all the pain and restricted range of motion to resolve after one treatment. Let him do the work during multiple sessions; he takes his time and does a good job!

In December 2021 I called Dr. Oei's office to see if I can get a rapid covid test. He advised me to come as soon as I can. His office is located in a nice and clean building in Fullerton. Because of the reason of my visit, I didn't have to wait long even though there were people ahead of me. I was glad because I tested positive and wasn't there long enough to get other people sick. Thanks to Dr. Oei I was able to go home and isolate immediately.

When I was in need for a COVID test and most clinics were out of them, Dr. Oei was able to provide one for me. I called his office and he gave me an appointment the very next day. When I arrived, he tended to me immediately.

Dr. Kevin was very professional, friendly, and overall an awesome guy. He was able to provide me a rapid rest within a day of my request. Would definitely recommend
