Bacons Castle Supply

On a Sunday ride to Saluda and passed by Bacon Castle Peanut Supply....we turned around and went in....oh to our surprise it was a great find. CAJUN PEANUTS, PEANUT BRITTLE, PEACH JAM AS WELL AS APRICOT JAM, PEANUT BRITTLE SQUARES...IT IS ALL DELICIOUS ...MAKE SURE YOU STOP WHEN IN THE AREA. ❣❣

Bacon's Castle is so worth visiting. It is the oldest brick dwelling in North America. Our tour guide Mallory was beyond amazing. She was so very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and added so much to each area of the building and history of the families that lived there.

We had the privilege of meeting the very busy owner, who took his time to tell us about preparing the smoked ham. We look forward to following his recipe!
The peanuts are the best also! Grown in his own farms.

I go every year to get Green peanuts to boil and fresh made peanut candies.

Great shop that we stopped in on the way to Smithfield. I tend to think of peanuts as sort of all the same, but the bag of in-shell roasted peanuts I picked up here changed my mind - not sure if it's the quality or the freshness, but they were fantastic!

I love buying their raw peanuts to cook at home, always a quality product. They also carry true country bacon, like we used to eat at grandmas in Appomattox Va. They also have great country hams.

Always delicious and fresh peanuts. I pick up nuts in the shell, boiled nuts, homemade peanut butter, chocolate covered nuts, and peanut brittle for friends and relatives in other states. Bacons Castle Supply is a family tradition!

This is one tiny bright spot in a really gross region. We bought some excellent boiled peanuts and the lady running the counter very kindly gave us directions to our next destination. The places around this are full of nasty, rude people, though. Stop here and nowhere else, trust me.
