Clinton Trailhead

Really nice section of the Ohio-Erie Canal.
Parking lot with toilets (latrines) as well as a shelter. There are a few picnic tables and a very nice grassy area. There is a fire pit as well. About a block South is another shelter next to a lake.
The towpath is completely paved. You can hike or bike from as little as you want to as far as you want. All the way to Cleveland if you are up to it.
Heading south is very nice. Approximately three and a half miles away is the city of Canal-Fulton. Well worth the trip as there are two fantastic ice cream shoppes to choose from
One right next to the towpath and one just a block away. Great way to reward yourself for getting out and enjoying the trails!

Great Towpath trail access point and small town / community surrounding it. Would highly recommend starting your towpath adventure at or around the town of Clinton.

Trail was paved and you were close to several locks and even Stark Country line. Very beautiful trail with flowers to see, bridges to cross over, and locks to see.

Beautiful walking and biking trail. You get to pass wildlife, trees, flowers and water.

Nice trailhead, decent number of parking spots, restrooms available.

Public entrance to the Ohio and Erie towpath. Handicap accessible parking, public restrooms, paved trail to about half a mile North and half a mile south of this entrance.

This is a nice shady ride going south, which is left at the trailhead. I went to 40 Corners taking the Old Muskegee trail across the river at Canal Fulton and coming back on the Towpath.The round trip was 19.4 miles.

My favorite! Just love the views along the water. So peaceful. This is such a cool place and such a draw for Clinton. One of the neatest places to hang out at no matter what time of year!

This is a very nice section of the Towpath Trial.......heading north towards Center Road you will pass Lock 3......which is still in good shape. Lots of trees....excellent views in the fall.

Nice place for a walk if you wanna see some different animals .

Love the area and the town is fun to explore! It's a less crowded part of the towpath but worth it.
