This is a very pleasant park, and the mound is great for lovers of history. There are a lot of bumblebees on the way up, but the view from the top is great. It’s amazing to think about how old this mound is if it’s from the Adena culture like what’s written. I hope things like this are preserved for many years to come. The rest of the park has plenty of space that’s great for children, but they might get scared from the bees on the mound. It’s still a very pleasant space.

This is a small park with a couple playgrounds a shelter and the largest earthen mound in Ohio. The park is small because the city decided most of the surrounding area should be a municipal 9 hole golf course and not a Native American museum or a park dedicated to native prairie but the mound alone makes it a five star park. Great views and a good spot to watch the sun rise.

Mound park, nestled in the heart of Miamisburg, Ohio, is home to one of the largest conical Mounds in Eastern North America. The Mound is thought to be built by the Adena Native Americans, approximately 2,000-2,800 years ago. At 65ft tall, you can climb the steps to the observation platform for a stunning view of the surrounding area.

The park offers two playgrounds and a swingset, as well as two shelters that can be reserved for parties.

Awesome piece of history with spectacular views of the surrounding area. There are signs that tell the story behind this park.

This was an amazing place to visit, glad they made this into a park instead of building on it or destroying it for the sake of archeology. These mounds should be saved as a sacred place. The view from the top is amazing! If you have trouble walking or breathing like I do, just take your time, I had to stop like 4 or 5 times to get there but it was worth it.

I've been thinking for years that Miamisburg Mound Park would be the best place in town to watch an approaching storm or even the Aurora Borealis. It's dark, isolated, elevated, unobstructed, and quiet (...open from dawn to dusk...). Tonight (Friday May 10th 2024) was that day with the most active solar storm since 2003. As we drove to the park...after it was closed...there were already cars there and a couple dozen more showed up in about an hour. Everybody watching the sky was quiet and considerate. What a beautiful show of God's creation!

The park was really nice and well kept. We were there to watch this year's eclipse so it definitely got crowded but it was a good place to just hang out. There are two parks for young kids to play on and plenty of room to run around. I recommend going when you have time!

There were quite a few families with their kids here playing around and using the picnic areas that are covered by the way. Working for a really good workout you could just climb up and down those stairs a couple of good times and be completely dead. Quite a few of those carpenter bumblebees that lie in the entire way up so if you don't like bees are scared of them you may want to avoid walking up the stairs.

This is a very interesting park to go to. Not many people know about this location. Just for the fun of it, I counted 116 steps so it is quite a workout getting to the top. The view from the top however makes it very much worth it.

Tip: bring a camera to capture the views from the top! It can also be rather windy at the top.

A great stand alone ancient mound of impressive height, sadly surrounded by a golf course, and with some old signage with minimal information. Any other mounds or earthworks in the area must have been destroyed over the years, or under the golf course. But the mound itself is still impressive and well worth the drive to see, with beautiful views from the top. There is a bathroom and some park benches. It’s a quiet green area with some locals using the mound to run up and down for exercise.

This is pretty cool. The mound itself is not quite as big as I thought it would be but I appreciate that they are trying to keep native plantings on it and weed out invasive species. There are a lot of carpenter bees right now in the spring, but at least they don't sting. The mound *does* feel bigger when you walk up the steps and see the view from the top! I'm glad there are several benches at the top to sit for a bit.

Otherwise, the rest of the park is a nice recreational park with picnic areas, a big party pavilion, bathrooms, etc. Great place for a birthday party, a picnic, or to take the dog out. It's right next to the golf course too.

Cool place to stop. Great views. Interpretive signs are pretty good at telling the story of this place. Could use more info about the natives that occupied this place in the past.

One of the largest burial mounds in the eastern US. It is over 100 steps to get to the top, and you will have a great view of the area from up there. The mound has not been fully excavated, so who knows what interesting things are buried there. If you choose to visit this or any burial mound, please be respectful of the land and it's former inhabitants.

Interesting stop because of the history. Nice size park with a shelter house with picnic tables, restrooms facilities, playground, and ample parking. Can't be too out of shape if you want to make it to the top. Nice views, be an awesome spot to watch the sun set

One of the largest and most accessible mounds in the area. A couple playgrounds, flush bathrooms, and a covered picnic shelter round out the ammenities. Not a bad spot to take the kids for a bit while you enjoy some Adena era history.

Although small, this park is really a cool place. There are 2 playgrounds and parking on site. The Mound is a site to see. The history of it is interesting as well. I definitely recommend a visit. There are a lot of stairs to get to the top but the view is worth it.

Very interesting history here and the surrounding area. There's a great view on the top.

There are covered picnic tables and playground equipment. Not sure for covid but it appears to have public restrooms.
