As the sun began to rise over Brooklyn, Sarah stood in front of Kingsborough Community College, her heart racing with excitement and a hint of anxiety. It was her first day as a freshman, and she had spent the previous night tossing and turning, wondering what to expect. Would she make friends? Would her classes be challenging?

As she stepped onto campus, the fresh smell of the ocean wafted through the air, reminding her of the nearby beach. The campus was bustling with students, some rushing to their classes, while others gathered in groups, laughing and chatting. Sarah took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. She had always been a bit shy, but today felt like a blank slate.

Her first stop was the orientation session in the student center. As she walked in, she was greeted by the sight of other new students, some just as lost as she felt. After a brief introduction from the orientation leader, they were split into small groups for icebreakers. Sarah found herself paired with a friendly girl named Aisha, who quickly put her at ease with her warm smile and easygoing nature.

After the session, Sarah and Aisha decided to grab lunch together at the campus café. They chatted about their majors—Sarah was considering psychology while Aisha was leaning towards graphic design. As they shared their hopes and fears for the upcoming semester, Sarah felt a sense of camaraderie developing. They exchanged phone numbers and promised to meet up again later.

With lunch finished, it was time for Sarah’s first class: Introduction to Psychology. She walked into the lecture hall, her heart pounding. The professor, a middle-aged man with a welcoming demeanor, introduced himself and began discussing the fascinating world of the human mind. Sarah found herself captivated, jotting down notes and feeling more confident in her choice of major.

After class, Sarah decided to explore the campus a bit more. She wandered through the gardens, admiring the flowers and the view of the ocean. As she walked, she noticed various clubs setting up tables for the upcoming club fair. Intrigued, she stopped to chat with a few representatives, learning about everything from the photography club to the environmental science group.

As the day came to a close, Sarah felt a mixture of exhaustion and exhilaration. She had faced her fears, met new people, and even found classes that excited her. Walking back to her dorm, she reflected on how her first day at Kingsborough College had been a success. She realized that while the journey ahead would have its challenges, she was ready to embrace them, one day at a time.

I attended this very special CUNY community college many years ago. I've always received courteous service from staff when I needed help with information or records, both as a student and as a graduate. Although I couldn't fully appreciate the gorgeous campus near the water back then with all of the hustle and bustle of NYC life, I'm truly grateful that life erected a detour to KBCC. Thanks again Doreen for your recent help with my immunization records.

Way better than brooklyn college or most other colleges. The place has a beach and a buffet. But besides that your not surrounded by buildings everywhere like the modernity of manhattan. Though like all colleges in some classes they offer useless subjects.

Was perfect today! (For our field trip)
I have to thank the 3 college students. (If you see this, I was Ricardo that said about the pilot) it was an unforgettable moment. 5 stars mostly.

I graduated from this school 2 years ago and I had an amazing time during my learning career! I felt connected to all my professors and I knew every staff was there to help me and everyone was so kind and patient! I loved going to campus as well, it was a beautiful scenery especially during the summer.

This is the only good CUNY. After attending many of them I can confidently say that it really doesn't get better than KBCC, nothing in the city even comes close. The professors are very knowledgeable and kind, the campus is absolutely beautiful, and the variety of classes/electives kept me entertained.

A great college, there is everything you need for life, he looks like a small settlement, very large territory. I was there on an excursion and spent only a day, but it was worth it, you feel at home.

I love KBCC. It feels like you are in another place. The atmosphere is calming. It's a huge gated campus.

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Donna Marjorie Donzella. I was a student at Kingsborough Community College in the fall of 1992. I was in the pre-nursing program.
On November 3, 1992 I suffered a terrible fall that left me in a coma. I was in a coma for five days...
Glad I survived and since then have published two books.

Great school, great professors (I’m in the Graphic Design program), beautiful campus (one of the best of all schools in the city). I love the library. I sit in a booth with a view of the ocean when I have to kill time.

I’ll miss this place when I graduate. Kingsborough came through for me at a time when I needed it.

This community college is like a diamond in the rough. I love it here. The staff here goes out of their way for you. The business department staff is awesome, they’re like a family. Almost all the business professors are great people, along with the tutors as well. I wish the school offered a double major so i can major in accounting too.
Good luck to all future students and may this school always have the best to offer.

The best community school!!!!!! This place is amazing!! The school actually cares about their students unlike other schools who just want to cash in!! The professors are excellent at what they do and care for their students. Every one of my professors encouraged me to do well and that’s exactly what I did.

What I love the most about the school is that it gives a second chance to students who weren't able to finish their degrees in another cuny school

It's located right next to the beach and its beautiful during spring and summer

The only people who are giving this college a one star are most likely the drop outs or the ones that don’t care about their lives and future.

It brings tears to my eyes when I think about this school 😢
