Front desk was super helpful, the building was beautiful, historical and centrally located to all kinds of cool stuff in NYC and the room was snug but still great for my family of 4. The kids loved the bunk bed set up and had a blast on them. Would stay again.

Excellent Location! Walking distance to Union Square, multiple subway stations, great quick food options, yoga studios, and Flatiron Bathhouse!

The hotel itself has two fantastic restaurants. Great breakfast and coffee. Staff was extremely helpful. This is my go to for LA & NYC!

Unique (albeit small) rooms. Freehand paintings on the walls in each room are different so you never know what fun you’ll walk into. The location is fantastic! It was clean and comfy and the staff are great!! Love the attached restaurants and bars! The lounge/ Georgia room is wonderful for hanging and catching up, studying, working, and/or relaxing on a regular day, and it opens up to another room to make an awesome party room for events/live music and dancing. I really want to be there on a Th-Sat next time so I can experience the party! Smile To Go is also attached and I LOVED the food and staff! Freehand is a great choice for an affordable visit to the city. So conveniently located for coming to NYU.

Stayed here last week with my partner and we both loved this hotel.Tidy rooms with really comfortable bed. Cleaners were lovely women who came round regularly and even if you didn’t want the room cleaned they still offered towels, toilet paper etc. A brilliant experience 10/10

Brandon and Javier, thank you for making my stay so enjoyable! I head to NY quite often for work, and this is right next to my office. I’ve now became a regular, as it’s reasonably priced and exactly what I assume a boutique hotel would offer.

This place was absolutely perfect for my boyfriend and I’s first trip as a couple to the city! The hotel has a boutique feel and the ambience is amazing. There are four bars built into the property that we loved and the price is amazing for the location. We also had a last minute emergency and needed to stay an additional night prior to our check in time, and Rudy, one of the front desk associates/managers, was more than accommodating and was able to get us our room one night early at the same rate I had originally purchased it for. The only thing I will say is that the rooms are definitely small, but this was not an issue for us as we really only needed the room to sleep. We’d definitely stay here again :)

We love staying here! My husband and I frequently book a room here for a little getaway and have never been disappointed! It’s only a matter of time until we come back.

Great hotel vibe, has an older solid vintage fee and character but is clean and very comfortable. Good location away from tourist traps but convenient to access. Good food and drink options on site.

Fantastic location, clean rooms and amazing service! Everybody is super-attentive and they make you feel like at home.

The only reason I don't give the 5 starts to the 'Rooms' section is because there was a foul odour coming out from the pipes in the bathroom that was hard to stand. But I understood that had more to do with the NYC sewage system than with the hotel itself. Other than that, the room was spotless and everything was perfectly clean and tidy daily at our arrival from visiting the city.

I would happily book again my accommodation at the Freehand Hotel!

We really enjoyed this hotel. Everything was clean and it smelled great. We love the location being close to everything we wanted to do. We loved our loft style bed. The bathroom was super tiny that was the only downside.

I was worried about the noise over a weekend based on other reviews, but we didn’t hear the bar in our 6th floor room at all. The bed was comfy, the room had good amenities and solid AC. Great value for Manhattan, and super easy to walk to lots of great restaurants. The receptionists (~1pm on Sept. 30) were friendly, kind, and patient. The room we got was small, and the lighting in the bathroom is definitely dim for doing makeup, but those weren’t issues for us.

Great hotel in the middle of the city. Staff was extremely nice and very accommodating for myself and 3 young boys. Security and floor staff was also very kind. I would stay here again!

Loved this hotel! Fun and funky, in a great area. Rooms are clean and generously sized. Several bars inside the hotel, and the restaurant is really good too. The staff was so nice and helpful. Would definitely return! Thanks for a great stay.

This hotel is super cool and was the perfect choice for rooming 4 collage-age young adults on our trip! They offer awesome room options like a single twin bed room to twin-over-queen bunks for sleeping 3, to rooms for 4 singles with 2 sets of twin bunk beds. It's next door to Baruch College, and conveniently located in general. The historical building is cool and interesting and is decorated with fun sketch art.

Great location! Only 1.5 miles to Times Square but also close to local restaurants-so it’s easy to escape the crowds.

The room was small (typical for NYC), but laid out well so it didn’t feel cramped. The bathroom was a good size with a large shower. Very clean with nice linens and towels. Friendly front desk staff. Neat elevators and woodwork in the cozy lobby.

Perfectly unique hotel to enjoy excellent views. Loved the rooftop bar/restaurant. All the staff I came in contact with were friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. I will definitely be booking here again when I return to NY ♡

I have stayed at this hitel numerous times not only the for location in gramecy park but for ther war and polite way the guests are treated!
Bredon and Hero I must rave about, they ere so polite in everway the kind of people that you just dont see often and to be able to work at my favorite hotel gives me more reason to visit. They go over and beyong and take on any requests you have. They are so helpful. Amazing!

Cute boutique hotel in the Flatiron district of Manhattan. I loved the art deco style and wood finishings of this property. The room was cozy and comfortable and had all that I needed.

Stayed for 5 nights with a group of friends. All went well and smoothly from check-in, to the room itself and the checkout! We stayed in a quiet and clean bedroom, with 4 beds (2 bunk beds). The bathroom includes the sink, shower and toilet. Bathrobe, towels, shampoo/soap were provided. Daily cleaning of the room by the staff. AC is available and there's a little fridge in the bedroom too.
Bottles of water are also offered everyday. Location is ideal, central, and nearby the subway.

Great hotel and rooms were very nice. Only downside was a very small bathroom. (Smaller then a cruise ships.)
