Barry & Pat are wonderful hosts. They constantly check to see if you need anything. The motel is clean and has everything you need for a beach vacation. A nice restaurant is within steps of our room. The beach is right across the street. We enjoyed sitting outside to watch the waves and listening to the ocean. The beach is not congested at all. You will find fancier hotels but will never feel so welcome.

5 plus stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟for your excellent customer service.
I want to thank you Barry for all of your help. You went above and beyond for us. The room was spotless clean, the bed was very comfortable. There is an apartment sized fridge a counter top stove. All dishes linen a coffee maker toaster. Everything you need for your morning breakfast while sitting out front of the motel. Listening to the ocean waves 🌊.
My husband and I will definitely be back next year 😊.
Thank you

We love this dog friendly motel. Owners, Patricia and Barry are the best! They are super nice people and always go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. If you appreciate a modest, clean older motel you'll love it here too. We especially enjoy having the ability to cook and having access to refrigerator/freezer in the effeciency or cottages. If you prefer not cooking while vacationing the regular rooms will save you some money. Reasonable pricing steps from the dog and family friendly beach. Always enjoy our time here and there's even a pool. Also great restaurant and full liquor bar right next door at the Beach Front Grill.

Awesome, Patricia and Barry are wonderful host. We stayed in room 3, it was clean, bright and cheerful. Our dog was made as welcome as we were. Barry officiated as my husband Danny and I renewed our wedding vows. Patricia took pictures. We came as strangers but left feeling we have new family friends. This is now our home away from home. Thanks Barry and Patricia.God Bless.

This is not a resort or an up tight beachfront condo, This place is although, one of the best places on the east coast to stay, in my honest opinion. this place has the overall feeling of nostalgia and really shows how simple things can be. Perfect getaway. The owners are extremely kind, rooms are clean, beds comfy, views are amazing. I will be back for many years to come.

These rooms were super clean! We had a full kitchen and 2 queen beds, and are very reasonably priced. We stayed a few nights in October, and had a blast. The hotel is right across the road from the beach. It was very quiet and private. We were there only ones on the beach most of the time. There owners are super nice and made sure we had everything we needed. They have a cute little patio on the side of the property with tables and chairs, a grill, and fire pit. The pool was very clean. Minutes from Flagler Beach and about 20 minutes from Daytona Beach. It was a perfect stay! We will definitely be back!

Such an amazing stay. Things got messed up with closing in our new home so my husband and myself had to stay at a hotel with our two dogs and a toddler. Not only were they accommodating but so friendly! Even offered for us to use the beach supplies when in the area and if we aren’t staying! There’s a yummy restaurant directly next door so getting snacks/dinner is a breeze. The rooms are set up with full kitchens including a full size fridge so you can cook it you’d like even! It’s older fashioned but still so comfortable, Neat, clean and cute with a direct view of the ocean across the street as well as a comfy pool to avoid sand. Affordable and just amazing. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice cheap beach vacation that’ll have you happy without breaking the bank!

We just finished 6 day stay and it has been so fun! The beach is literally right across the road. We can see it from our door and windows! It was perfect for our family of two toddler boys (4 and 2 ) and pet friendly!
Old Florida feel and the owners are super sweet!

It’a an old school motel that makes you feel welcome and taken care of. Beach is across the street. View is awesome! Food is close by. I highly recommend it!

Whale Watch is a quiet, well kept motel from the '50s era. Great ocean views, wonderful pool, clean and quiet beach, low rates. Pat and Barry are fantastic hosts, so kind and friendly.
I will be back for sure.

Family owned and operated "old Florida" style motel. Clean rooms with refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, comfortable beds, nice shower. Barry and Patricia will go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. You can hear the ocean from every room and see it from most. This is NOT like a chain style motel. It is a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Pets are welcome and treated as well as the guests. Can't wait to go back!

Here's a review from a Florida native who has been visiting the area for nearly 20 years. I don't understand the negative comments unless people were expecting 5 star amenities at a bargain basement price. That said, this is a great mom n pop motel. Rooms are clean, area is safe, and the owners are friendly. This is a laid back Old Florida motel, the parking lot is gravel, and there are little to no amenities. If you want luxury, don't complain about this place, go elsewhere and spend more. If you want a cool little place off the beaten path with no noisy tourists and screaming kids, this is the place. The motel is located right across the street from the Atlantic Ocean and beach with an unobstructed view, no skyscrapers or concrete jungles to break up the scenery or stress you out. It may be old but is a little slice of heaven for people who want to get away and decompress. I have noting bad to say about my stays here, I've recommended it to friend's and they love it too. Don't bother with the restaurant next door, it's gross, instead take a short drive 10 minutes south to Betty"s A1A Cafe, everything is fresh and homemade.

Pat and Berry have a very nice motel here that will make you feel like you stepped back into time into the 1950s. They make your stay as good as they can by going beyond customer satisfaction almost like making you a part of their family. They are great people who takes the time to treat you like family. They also made my two puppies feel welcomed and like they was at home. We will diffently be back.

Low key, family owned motel with a selection of room sizes--sleeping two to 6. Kitchenettes, clean, quiet, Wifi, outdoor pool, pool toys and floats, grills and dog friendly. Great for families with kids and seniors (no stairs).
Atlantic Ocean public beach across the street. Restaurants and large, famous Flagler Beach fishing pier a short drive away . Great moderately priced restaurant right next door. Located on a quiet, not-crowded stretch of highway. Very relaxing to cross the street at night to sit out and listen to the waves and watch the stars. GO HERE! YOU'LL LOVE IT!😎🐕🍷🍺🍔🌭🥪🍉🍇🎏✨🎇🏊‍♀🌞🌊

This place is definitely old school. Very clean and well maintained. It is across the street from the beach with nothing obstructing the view. Great place to stay. Patricia even asked if she could help with my bags. The rooms have cable TV, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. I will definitely be back. Love this place!

To me this is a five star . It has cleanliness top notch & peacefulness I needed for downtown from my extremely busy work life. It is pet friendly & there are no oders from previous pets. The owners are very nice & accommodating. The beach is just across the 2 lane rte A1A and is
sparingly occupied + pet friendly .
Within 2 miles in either direction you find plenty of places for dining, golf, hiking trails, boat launches and more.
Oh, and shopping.

Very clean rooms, Very Nice staff. We had a great time staying for a couple of days, the Beach is only a hop and a skip away and is rarely populated even though we came on the 4th of July weekend. Clean beds, very clean bathroom and even had cups plates and silverware with 2 countertop ranges if you're there with a family and need to cook meals.

We love the Whale Watch! Great accomadations and great
location on the beach. the best part of your stay is the generous hospitality
from the owners Patricia and Barry! Whatever you need to make your stay better they are there.
Our labradoodle loves it there and his blanket and treats are always waiting for him! They even did a guests laundry so they could enjoy their time at the beach! We and all the guests are treated like family. Great place!

Bayr and Patricia are nice people. They party DOWN. Bayr is very nice looking also. He has long hair. We saw whales, land whales and ocean whales. The sand is beachy. The beach is sandy. I met a lady named Sandy on the beach. She was giggling because she was standing on sand, and her name was Sandy. It was cute. She said she was also staying at the Whale Watch, but she was not a land whale at all.

A year ago we spent $1800 to stay one week at the Hilton in Melbourne. It was beautiful but actually we spent very little time in the room. Thiss year we stayed at the Whale Watch. Obviously the comparisons are few if you want luxury in your room. However if you like your host to personally stop by each day and chat, take your dog for a walk when you're gone for the day and make you feel like neighbors then you should give the Whale Watch a try. It is clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay
The biggest thing is sitting on the porch with the Atlantic Ocean right there. Flagler beach is quiet with no spring breakers. I was very skeptical about staying at the Whale Watch but would stay again in a heartbeat!!!
