What a fun place to shop! My teen daughter and I came in for the first time and she found a dress she will use for the prom for an amazing price. There are so many different styles/decades here and it’s just a lovely shop. Will definitely be visiting again soon when we have even more time to browse. Highly recommended place if you value sustainable fashion.

What an absolute gem! I came here for the first time during Thanksgiving and was blown away by the vast selection. I’m an avid thrifter and lover of vintage and antiques, and I can truly say that this is the best selection of vintage clothing I’ve ever encountered in one shop. I love that it features several local vendors with varying styles so there’s a little something for everyone. The prices are reasonable and you’re bound to find some amazing things here!

An absolute gem. Vintage sourced from multiple vendors so there's so much variety! Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Sizes for all and so much nostalgia anytime you go through. Favorite vintage store in the area by far.

No because I went here on a whim and I am so glad I did because not only did I get such a groovy Italian dress 😍 but I was supported the whole time by staff! I was reminded that I am beautiful and my heart is so warm. This storefront is well organized, inviting, and inclusive. Will be back!

This shop is a dream. I spent a good chunk of time looking through the shop but could’ve easily spent the whole day browsing the wonderfully curated selection. I travel for work and have been to vintage shops in cities across the country, and this one has got to be the best I’ve been to for both quantity AND quality. Not only is there a very vast selection, but it’s obvious that each item was chosen with such care and intention. I will for sure be back next time I’m in Rochester.

I love this shop! It is truly full of magical, inspiring, enchanting garments—and the many humans who come together with collaboration, open spiritedness, and hard work are so special. I cannot count how many of my favorite vintage outfits have come from here. The selection is always changing and the shop itself constantly seeks to improve and grow. Not only does this space generate encounters with one of a kind textiles, it facilitates community, connection, and creativity. This space has been central to my experience of making long lasting, intimate, cherished friendships, which has been immensely healing.

I started popping up here in February 2018, and I’ve been involved at this shop ever since. I’ve seen it undergo expansion, and I’ve consistently worked as a volunteer employee through most of this time. The owner is very clear that her small number of employees (as I write this, there are two main volunteers who manage the shop alongside the owner--so three women total oversee the majority of operations) are volunteers, She states upfront that she cannot offer monetary compensation and in its place, offers free space to pop up amongst other benefits. She is very receptive to feedback. I expressed my concerns about hours/wages, and she listened, reducing the expected minimum number of volunteer hours and increasing employee perks. Whenever I vocalize any potential issue—which of course arises from time to time with any small business in its beginning stages!!—she takes my comments seriously and does everything within her power to accommodate. We choose to volunteer because we value the shop's role as a space of empowerment, creativity, friendship, and sustainable fashion.

Bottom line is, this shop is GREAT. There are many different types of vintage styles all at sorts of price points, from $5 bargains to higher-scale, rare, 1920s-era gowns. The many vendors strive to provide garments for all body types and all genders, and will make appointments to help customers with styling. They host numerous events that cater to different crowds, some centering Rochester’s womxn (monthly full moon astrology gatherings!), some teaching unique skills (mending workshops!), and some providing a platform for local artists and other businesses (zine releases!). The young owner constantly motivates herself to provide the best possible shop and never stops growing. I’m so thankful and grateful for all that this space does for my community!!

The OP Shop is a wonderful gem that supports local businesses. As a vendor, I have been treated with so much care and kindness. Every time I come to restock my inventory, I enjoy being able to catch up with Joanna and Justine (who are the sweetest people). I also enjoy being able to go through the store and look through their selection of vintage clothes and handcrafted items. Overall, would I recommend this store? 100% Do I think this place is super cool? Hell yes.

The Op Shop is one of my favorite small business / thrift stores to visit in Rochester, hands down! Everytime I've gone the staff is always so warm & welcoming! The store itself is clean & well organized. In addition, I have bought a few outfits here over time all of them have been excellent quality / do not wear and tear.

Long story short, definitely check it out! 10/10 :)

This place is amazing. The clothes are well curated, affordable, and come in a wider range of styles and sizes than the average vintage store. They also have a great selection of locally handmade jewelry. I’ve met the owner and their sister, who sells her clothes at the store, and they’re both kind and helpful.

Joanna is the kindest and most chic. I always find something amazing at OP shop. It’s my first place to visit when I have an event coming up or just want to treat myself to some beautiful vintage. Joanna is always on hand offering to help or giving opinions on outfits. She makes you feel valued and seen❤And I am so grateful have it in Rochester. Best finds/sweetest owner!!

I love the OP SHOP! I’ve been lucky to see the shop grow from sprouting ideas to a successful, growing, funky little vintage treasure chest. The owner Joanna is so sweet and puts in the effort to make sure you find all the gems. I love to watch a strong woman run her own business while helping other vendors follow their vision as well. The Op Shop is my favorite and inspires me to shop second hand and avoid fast fashion!

The Op Shop is easily one of my favorite places to go and shop in Rochester. Not only has their amazing selection of reasonably priced vintage clothing revolutionized my wardrobe, allowing me to have the style i’ve always wanted, but they are also such a welcoming and wonderful bunch of people. If you love vintage clothing, without the steep price tags and love to support small female owned businesses, The Op Shop is the place for you!! Not to mention vintage is sustainable!! What’s not to love!

Joanna is one of the nicest people I have ever met and it is always a pleasure going into the Op Shop. I’ve bonded with my friends at the Op Shop with how pleasant and friendly the environment is. The fact that Rochester has multiple spaces for vintage and consignment clothing is amazing and the more the merrier as I hope we become a less wasteful world.

This shop is truly one of my most favorite surprise discoveries in Rochester. Not only is the shop itself stocked with amazing, high quality vintage pieces, but the owner, Joanna is such a breath of fresh air, that shopping there is like visiting an old friend! I often leave there feeling excited and uplifted, not only because I've scored some killer deals on one-of-a-kind treasures, but because chatting with the Joanna and her crew is always such a pleasure. Keep doing what you're doing Op Shop!!
Much love from T.O - I'll be back soon - S

Although Rochester is full of good ways to source second hand, the Op Shop is hands down one of my favorite places to go! First of all it is such a beautifully curated store that holds and supports vintage vendors from all around Rochester. There is never a time that I’m in there and cannot find something beautiful to bring home with me. I also love that it is inclusive to many different body shapes and sizes and also has items for all genders! Woo!

Not only this but Joanna (the owner) alongside the others who work there are just about the sweetest, knowledgeable, most down to earth, genuine women I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. You can tell with every conversation that Joanna puts her heart and soul into this place and is always working to improve in any way she can! Although I have to say as far as I can tell she is simply killing it.

This place and the community she has built here has also allowed me to meet and create opportunities for myself that may never have been otherwise. So thank you, Joanna, and the Op shop for existing and doing everything that you do. I will definitely be shopping sustainably and successfully for as long as this place exists.
