Basswood Pond State Forest

Very pleasant evening spent fishing. The main parking lot leads to a small canoe launch and an accessible fishing dock. There is even a porta potty. I do wish visitors were better at taking their trash with them, but a really nice spot overall.

Off the beaten path, fishing, canoeing, bring lunch, grill burgers/hot dogs. Beautiful!

Classic small state park. Excellent for fishing, picnics, long walks, rolling in dead animals, and shaking water all over everyone.

Beautiful little lake, stocked with bass and trout, great for kids because they usually catch something... I enjoyed it thoroughly!

Quiet, secluded from any traffic noise, walking trails are well marked but could use some maintenance
