Marilyn's Cafe

My family of 5 and I went to Marylin’s on a Sunday for breakfast and it was great! Upon arrival, we waited maybe about 3 minutes for them to set up a table. Once seated, the restaurant is VERY crammed: there’s booths lining both sides, which can seat 4 people comfortably, however they have larger tables in the middle and it is TIGHT.

Our waitress was very nice and got everything right! Our only complaint is that our table’s food came out at different times and 2 people in our party were 1/2 way done with their meals before the rest of the table got their food… it also took some time to get our sides of toast, sausage, etc. so eating was a little awkward timing-wise.

The owner is a long haired gentleman who has the nicest personality and great customer service. Obviously the diner was packed for a Sunday but he didn’t stop moving to ask tables what they were missing, if they needed anything, how the food was, and just to chat in general. He wasn’t overbearing or anything but very pleasant and did a great job of ensuring we had a great breakfast.

Overall our food was very good once it came out - a bit pricey but good to say the least! We will return for sure!

Such a great breakfast experience with our motorcycles friends. We usually stop by to enjoy a delicious coffee and to enjoy the special environment of the Cafe. Special thanks to Bill - The owner and his wife - for always making sure all is well at our table and with the service. I love the atmosphere 100% recommended !!!

Totally a classic! The food was fantastic and exactly what you would expect to see in a Jersey Diner. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the service was on point. Best scrapple anywhere and you can't go wrong with SOS (chipped beef on toast). This place was so good, we had to go back the very next weekend. Stop in, you won't be sorry.

Not you typical strip mall eatery. A hidden gem. Been there twice. First time I had a tuna melt and second time the Happy Waitress open face grill cheese. My husband had eggs Benedict and second visit, lasagna. All meals were delicious, plentiful and served hot. The servers were very pleasant, checking to see if we needed anything.

The inside decor is amazing, lots of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. Even the rest rooms are decorated with homey signs. We will be back.

My fiance always orders their pancakes I had their egg whites with mushrooms. Delicious. Friendly service. Feels like home. Pictures of Marilyn everywhere.

Such good food, the service was great, and we loved the atmosphere! The eggs benedict was great, and my wife ordered nutella waffles that were super good too. We put this place in our GPS from Hoboken, and the drive up was SO beautiful in October with the leaves changing. We’ll be back!

Loved this place! Second experience here was just as good as the first one. Adorable little family owned, Marilyn Monroe themed diner. Food was delicious. 100% recommend.

If you're in the area and look for off heated track spot to eat - you definitely owe this place a try!

This is a classic old time American diner. Food was great, service, everything. Loved it and I will be back!

These guys are great hosts.. very good brunch after a long time and loads of semi outdoor seating space available. Home fries are a must try.

I had a wonderful bowl of chicken orzo soup and a Turkey sandwich with avocado on toasted rye bread. The guy with me had corn beef hash with 2 eggs toast and coffee. Great place but bring cash no CC's.

Everybody should stop complaining about the bottle water. Everything cost money the ice machine lemons cooks dishwashers waitress everything cost something.

A lovely small restaurant with really good, quality food. We stopped here to enjoy our Saturday brunch after hiking at the Schooley’s Mountain loop. The quantity was filing with delicious food.

Great vibe, friendly staff...this is a must go place!!! Amazing hot coffee, food was delicious.

We stumbled across this little cafe on our way to Alstede farms. The tuna melt was one of the best I’ve ever had,my husband had the grilled cheese and gravy cheese fries. My son had the chicken and fries. Everything was delicious;however, I am not sure how it all came up to 58 dollars. Unfortunately, because of the prices I will not be back!

Great little place. Went for breakfast for the first time and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is cozy and interesting to see all the decor on the walls- a real "old fashioned" breakfast spot for sure. And their coffee was great! Will definitely be back.

Food was excellent, unfortunately the service was not exactly upnto par with the food. But "pleasant " nonetheless. Furthermore, have cash handy. Although they do have a sign on the door, (Cash Only) it could be easy to miss and inconvenient as you will need to go a few stores down and use the ATM. I wish they would have said when we were seated.

Stopped here for breakfast on a fall weekend getaway. Best diner experience! - and I live in NYC. Service was so attentive. Coffee came in a big mug. Food was perfect - crispy corned beef hash, eggs cooked perfect to order. Portions are humongous. Great find!
