A commonly held belief that salespeople -- especially car and real estate sales people – cannot be trusted because the sale is everything to them sadly all too often proves true. With this thought in mind, with trepidation, we selected a realtor to help us find a new home in the Adirondacks. Fortunately, we found in CHRISTIAN KLUEG and BRYN BROWN of HOWARD HANNA the absolute antithesis of the adage. Living three hours south of the area, we never imagined we would get too much service unless we were actually there in-person, but again, we were proven wrong and discovered that service is the hallmark of CHRISTIAN’S and BRYN’S business model. We began with tentative e-mail queries, and though CHRISTIAN had never met us, had no idea regarding whether or not we were serious buyers, and generally could have given us brief and formulaic responses, he answered every query with detailed, personalized responses for several months before he even met us. He walked us through the process, and at every turn gave us honest advice. This energetic, enthusiastic, affable young man starts his day by answering e-mail at 4:30 AM and truly listens to his client’s needs, so he does not show them homes that will not fit their budgets or their criteria. He actually offers his own realistic and honest assessment of each home he enters with the client. And he does not quit until the client is happy, no matter how many homes he must look for or show or how long the process takes. He manages that difficult balance between representing the seller and taking care of the buyer with aplomb and zeal. He even accompanies his clients on the inspections.

Working with him is the also extremely capable, cheerful, and dedicated BRYN BROWN. She, too, works tirelessly for the client with the efficiency of a professional dedicated to making certain every proverbial “t” is crossed and “i” is dotted. She never fails to answer a query quickly and manages a plethora of details with ease. She conveys a sense of calm to clients not actually calm about the process. In addition, her intelligence makes her a problem-solver; for example, during an inspection, when no one else could find the septic access point, she used her logic to discover it. Her honesty and quiet patience make her very easy to work with even when deadlines loom and the client keeps asking questions.

We would recommend HOWARD HANNA, CHRISTIAN KLUEG, and BRYN BROWN to anyone we know; we are grateful to be working with them. We will soon be closing on a relatively inexpensive home as home prices go, yet Christian and Bryn treated us as if we were million-dollar-home buyers. With them, service to the client gets top ranking, whether one is just making inquiries, seeking a rental, buying a small cabin, or purchasing a mansion. With them, client satisfaction truly is the primary goal.

I am beyond blown away, I met Mrs. Cynthia Gifford earlier this year, we were unable to purchase do to my current work situation. However, Cindy continued to search for us a rental for over a month. There is absolutely no gain for a real estate agent to do this, for that I am beyond grateful. I'm an experienced contractor, buyer and investor. I have had excellent relationships with realtors.

I had an awful experience with this office, and Chester Enders. I simply asked a question about negotiating a buyer fee, and the relationship went sideways.

Always interview realtors and find the right one, I happened to call on Saturday and catch Chester. Simply bad luck.

Remember buyer fees are negotiable!
