Maple Grove Government Center

I had never been to the MG Passport center before and always drove downtown Mpls to get it done. This was the best experience I have had in getting a passport done. Thank you Nicole for your patience and amazing customer service. We appreciate all of your help and want to thank you so much.

FYI… you can also get your passport photo here for a charge. I will be telling everyone about this service. I even called and had a few questions prior / scheduling an appointment and they were super helpful. Thanks again!

Passport office lady, Nicole is a boss lol!! seriously knows her business, and is pleasant and helpful. I was expecting DMV, and I got first class assistance.

Just had an AMAZING experience at the Passport Office in Maple Grove! I arrived at the reception desk and asked where the passport office was. I was told to go upstairs, and was asked if I had an appointment. My heart sank, I didn't. I had my 5 children with me and my wife had taken off work early to meet us there. I fully expected to be turned away when we entered the office. It was the exact opposite! I can't believe I forgot her name but I will just use the term she coined herself "the passport Ninja" :) She was so awesome, she said she didn't have another appt for 20 minutes so she'd "squeeze us in" (all 7 of us!). She is very good at her job and also incredibly personable. I highly recommend this location if you need passports.

We had a fantastic experience with the passport services at this location over the summer. They were quick, efficient, and so kind. It made my day to have such a smooth experience and I am grateful for the staff member who helped us. Highly recommend this location!

Went here to vote. Clean and orderly. Signs clearly directed you to the correct location. Workers were well versed in their roles and professional. The cops just sitting around outside in the parking area are a little intimidating when they just stare at you. They generally mind their own business. I think.

While the woman that helped me at the passport office was nice. she had very minimal knowledge of what she was talking about. I have had my name changed since my last passport, and when I asked if I needed to send my name change paperwork along with my old passport to receive my updated one, she swore I didn't. I even mentioned the website said I had to and she further insisted. A month after this conversation I received an email saying that I needed to now send the name change paperwork because the names on my old and new passports didn't match (who could've seen that coming). I now need to set aside another segment of time to go in and have them send the name change paperwork as well.

Passport office was a mess - two other people were told inaccurate things just while we were there. We had an appointment at 345 and got there early - first thing we were told was they close at 330. Showed my confirmation and they said a few of them were trying to get more hours but they wouldn’t have time to do ours today. Told us to schedule a different day after we had both taken off work to get our kids passports. Went to another center and everything went so much better.

Very unhappy with my experience here. My passport application was denied because this facility didn't properly execute and forward my application by traceable mail. Now I am having to take off time from work to do this all over and hopefully get it it time for my upcoming vacation. Very disappointed and frustrated.
