MiniSota Play Cafe

We had a great time at the Minisota Play Cafe! We spent 2 wonderful hours there where my daughter used her imagination in all the little storefronts. She loved the market, the music area, the fire station, and the cozy cabin. It was neat to see her use her imagination: she found blue blocks and was pretending they were water sprayers for the fire. In the cabin, she was using the wood slices as “big cookies.” So fun!

This is like a mini version of the Children’s Museum without having to go downtown. I think it’s an awesome concept!

We didn’t have a chance to order any food or drinks, but the menu looked good. We’ll try something next time we come!

We love MiniSota Play Cafe. I have hosted 2 birthday parties, and my son attends music class there every Wednesday. The staff is AWESOME! They made our parties so memorable. Not only great staff but a super clean and open area for children to play! Highly recommend for play, music class and parties!

We had such a good time today with my almost 3-year-old and 5-month old. $31 for admission, a crafted coffee and a big water bottle (now I know we can bring outside water bottles). It's "only" for 2 hours but at about 90 minutes, I was spent! Haha! There were a ton of people but it wasn't crazy. If it's too busy after having been there only an hour, I think you can return your wristband for 1/2 off the next time you come. The infant zone was nice and removed (surrounded by a mini wall to try to stop bigger kids). We didn't have any problems with others kids or adults. My toddler loved running around and using the bigger items (cars, boats, carts...). Best part... he crashed HARD for his nap! Oh, and the dirty snowball drink... A+ from me! I've already messaged another friend, planning to come back soon!

My kids and I have been AVID play cafe attendees for a couple of years now and they LOVE it. I love being able to get a coffee and know that my kids can free play within a certain space and not worry about safety, cleanliness, or them getting bored. I would love if there was a way for parents to be free but that is my only critique! LOVE this space!

My toddler and I always have a great time! He loves the food/grocery area. I love how open it is now with their newest layout. We plan on trying the ice cream next time.

This place is simply perfect for play dates! Moms/caretakers enjoy some coffee or smoothies while the kiddos play! We spent two hours in just the baby play area alone and I think if it hadn't been for the impending nap time, we could have been there all day. They even have healthy snacks and squeeze pouches for purchase. Definitely coming back!

Love this place for toddlers and young children! Such a great alternative to indoor playgrounds. Great way to let them expand their creativity and imaginary play. Well kept with friendly staff. Nice having a cafe option too.

A wonderful place to go! Loved how big it is in there. The location has two entrances and it’s all shoes off which I really appreciate as a mom with a crawler. The area to play is so fun! So many different areas and skills to be used in play. Areas for balance, jumping, and coordination with pictures on the floor. (Also a part of preschool readiness screening) Soooo many different things to do. Both my little ones- 1&3, loved it there. Food was a little pricy and it’s a bit of a bummer you can’t bring your own snacks but understandable given the population. They have sensory boxes for sale that are so neat! (See pictures) Definitely would recommend!

This is one of our all time favorite spots for our 5.5 year old girl! She never gets tired of the cute play areas, awesome sensory kits, and the big muffins :) Mom loves the coffee (seriously-it’s super good). 10/10 recommend to anyone with kids of all ages.

Great place for young children to play in clean fun environment. Great coffee if looking for a place to pick up a coffee or tea drink. They also have Honey and Mackie ice cream that is delicious.

Best place to come get some work done while your child plays. Or even better play with them :). Very clean and sanitized!

We hosted our daughter's 5th birthday here. Last year, we had to cancel her party right as COVID shutdowns began, as happened to many kids over the year. It was her golden birthday this year and she loved MiniSota Play Cafe when we were able to go at their Champlin location. We thought we'd try again this year with a smaller group and precautions. MiniSota Play Cafe is so much bigger and more spacious at their new location! Our daughter had a great time, as did the friends who came. The party room is a good size so there was lots of room to social distance. The owners wrote a nice Happy Birthday message to the birthday girl on a chalkboard in the room, had little disco party lights on the counter, and brought in some music as well. Very clean, lots of space, and the kids had a great time playing. Plus, she received a small gift as the birthday kid. Thanks for making it a great birthday!

Was shopping with my little one and we stumbled upon the MiniSota Play Cafe.
It was amazing. My child was able to play while I enjoyed my London Fog Latte.
Definitely a neat place to bring your kids to play at. We will be coming back for sure!

Such a fantastic place to take younger kids to burn off some energy. Fun, creative, unique, unlike anything I’ve seen for toddlers. My son can’t get enough and I love that I can sip on a coffee while he plays. The staff is so sweet as well!

Awesome place to go. While it can be busy and loud on the weekends and others have noted it's a bit on the pricy side, this place is the cleanest of it's kind and the staff is super caring and helpful. This is a great place to take your kids, and the cleanliness is second to none.

My daughters both had so much fun here! One is 5 and the other is an infant and it's so nice to be able to put the baby down to crawl and play while big sister plays, and I can keep an eye on both of them. It's clean, there's good coffee, and my oldest can't wait to go back and play with Rae (Ray?) again!

We had a birthday party here and this place was really nice and clean. So many different things for kids to do. My daughter had a blast! The party room is nice and spacious. Many other indoor places that have private parties are small and often feel crammed. They had music and cute lights ready for us when we arrived. Staff was amazing. We loved it!

Took my 4 year old here today and she had so much fun. Many ways for kids to use their imagination pretend playing, the areas seemed really clean and the lattes are very good! We were there for 2 hrs and she played the entire time. We even bought a sensory bin to take home with us. Fun way to spend the day, highly recommend.
