Best restaurant in town . I stopped in not too long ago great atmosphere great people an they will make you feel right at home. Town offers a lot of great lil hotspots to check out . Summer time the town has a great camp area an many lakes to check out

Good food good prices wait staff is very friendly!
I had breakfast the eggs were cooked perfectly ( over medium), hash brown's were like I make myself, maple flavored bacon and rye toast thin with caraway seeds, and it came with coffee, in a large carafe they bring to the table!
Will definitely be back when I am in the area!

The mushrooms were fabulous fried perfectly and hot at the table. The service was wonderful, even tho it was a later in the evening Tonya was super friendly and efficient

We had a late lunch and the buffet wasn't being served yet so we ordered from the menu. We both got senior specials which are smaller portions (still plenty) and come with salad bar. Loved the thousand island dressing and bean salad. My husband said the cukes and onions were very good. I had fried chicken which was perfect and seasoned red skin potatoes which are fried chunks not boiled and there enough to feed three. My husband had the hot turkey sandwich with mashers and gravy. Very tasty. Our server was attentive and friendly. We'll make the 30 minute drive to eat here again.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful dinner here. Burgers were amazing. Waitresses were very nice. Everything was delicious.

They had a nice size salad bar for lunch, with 3 different homemade soups. We drove 30 minutes just to try it out and it did not disappoint!

This is the kind of genuine, small town Mom 'n Pop that would be featured in a Hallmark Christmas movie. It's THAT quaint, honest, friendly, and genuine. Food is fantastic and reasonably priced. Service couldn't be better, and ownership is a local family that have been running it for decades. They feature a stocked salad bar and buffet that's open every time I go there (under $20). Unfortunately, the woman who owns it has it up for sale. I hope her Son takes over or someone from this little town who understands the legacy. Places like this are a treasure.

I have been coming here since I was a child, it’s truly a staple of the town and a must-visit location for visitors. Their breakfast never disappoints, I always go home happy and satisfied. The decor and vintage puppets give the place a rustic atmosphere without feeling like a Cracker Barrel wannabe. I’d say that it holds historical value to the town on top of serving positively delicious food. Of the places I’ve been to so far, Hard Times is my favorite affordable breakfast location. The staff are polite, the wait times are naturally shorter than that of a larger establishment, but I’d been blindly served food from here and somewhere bigger, there’s a chance I could be fooled. Again, delicious, and I always look forward to going there despite being afraid of puppets.

Took our precious grandbabies here for breakfast and they enjoyed everything about this restaurant. Our waitress was amazing! Thank you staff members for a wonderful time! 😁

Wow! I never knew about this please until recently and I feel like I have been missing out on something very special. Everything is from scratch. Their breakfast buffet is amazing! Great staff, prices, and the quality is amazing. The antiques and historical memorabilia are far more than just decor. They even have a few products from local offenders such as vinyl stickers, Maple syrup, and local honey. I have a large candy section which is always a big hit for the kids as we check out.

Cool local mom and pop place. Breakfast buffet on weekends is better than most. Menu items are better quality than most of the buffet items but it's all about the value you are looking for. Cinnamon buns are awesome! Friendly down home service coupled with interesting, antique and historical decor exude classic small town charm. We will definitely be back!

Amazing staff, that was very friendly and courteous! We got our coffee and juice within seconds of ordering it! The food came out very fast too, it was delicious and there was so much food! I would highly recommend this place to everyone!
