Congress Pizzas

Let’s begin with the fundamentals. Crust: Crisp, crunchy, thin, and cooked to perfection just like your Roman grandmother. Seriously, you will eat more than necessary, just for the textural sensation. Sauce: handmade, just like the dough and resulting crust, perfectly paired, and layered to your desired toppings. Cheese: Light in volume, yet complementary to the “thin crust” style pizza with handmade sauce on top. There is not any reason to add an abundance of cheese when the crust, sauce, and fresh toppings have definitive flavor and texture.

Hospitality: Second to none! The people are as good as the pizza. Part of the experience is grabbing a drink, sparking up a conversation with the guy/gal next to you, or the friendly staff, and watching generations of patrons filter in and out. The staff treats each person like family, and it is a heartwarming experience to see, and know that places like this still exist in the world.

We have been coming here for over two decades and the quality, hospitality, and people are only getting better. If you are within 100 miles and are looking for life changing pizza, then look no further.

A staple in our lives. A lot of things have changed Through Time but not Congress pizza. We order it at least twice a month and never get tired of it. Always a great crew working their tails off. And of course always one of the best pies you ever had at a great price.

Congress Pizza is quite simply the best. It is a thin cracker crust with a homemade sauce. The Congress is the heart of the local community and their pizza is fantastic. In the warmer part of the year they have outdoor tables as well. Make it a point to eat here and you will be very glad you did.

I've never met a real Italian, not until this place destroyed me and built me back up from nothing. I needed a real, strong man in my life who could take care of me and protect me. Best pizza I've ever had. 2 slices of potato on top. I missed my father after the accident, and my dog was never the same. But this place cured something in him, his eyes are filled with light again. The rain poured heavily on the glass. When I drove away from this place, I drove away a new woman, now more ready than ever to face my problems.

Top notch pizza - thin crust, flavorful, and lots of toppings. I grew up on this stuff, and more recently and most importantly to me, you can get it with a gluten free crust now. Very friendly staff. Eat in or take out, it's a good experience!

Thin crust pizza made the same way for >60 years. Local craft beer selection, outdoor seating and super friendly staff. Get the large, it's only a dollar more!

Try a Cudighi! We were sampling some beers over at Cognition Brewing when a fellow who goes by "Soup" recommended we try one of the local delicacies, a Cudighi! He said Congress Pizza is the place everyone craves when they come back to town. When i looked at the menu, the ingredient list wasnt something I would put together but the taste speaks for itself and their sausage was fantastic. Great stop, friendly staff!

My cousin and I ate here and the pizza was really good. It's a nice thin crisp crust and you can either order their specialty pizzas or build your own. She doesn't eat pork so she was happy to find a place that has vegetarian pepperoni. The staff was friendly and efficient. They were really busy, but we were seated right away. They just let us know we would have a bit of a wait for our food and it took less time than their estimate, so that was nice. The seating area is next to the bar so it was quite loud. They do have a nice outdoor area as well.

Best pizza in Ishpeming. If you ask the locals who has the best pizza ever, it's this one. If you ask anyone else it's okay. It's ultra thin, cheese in the bottom, sauce and toppings on top. I think it's amazing. Cudighi is good here.

Love congress pizza. I've been vacationing to Michigan for 17 years now and never miss a chance to get congress pizza. It is such a unique pizza compared to anywhere else I have been. Pairing it with their great selection of on-tap beers guarantees you will be going back.

My favorite pizza of all time was as good as ever, with a super crispy crust and a perfect balance of toppings (cudighi sausage, pepperoni, and mushrooms), cheese, and sauce (on top). The Anatomy of a Murder movie and IHS teams memorabilia fortunately survived the major storm and rain water damage, and is back up on display in the nicely restored interior.

Great atmosphere, super friendly staff and some really great thin crust pizza. Definitely worth the stop if you're heading through this way.

Family owned, Unique Pizza Experience!
This place is big attraction in a small town, the atmosphere is homely, with awards from local athletes on the walls. Their pizzas are all thin crust, and you can split a large between 2 people usually. Overall great experience, if you're in town stop in!

I love this place so much it was a mandatory planned part of my wedding night! My husband and I stopped there on our way home from the reception. Nothing hits like a congress pizza.
