Goldmine Comics & Cards

Goldmine is by far my favorite comic joint in Grand Rapids. The staff is super cool, helpful, and welcoming. They always have great recommendations for new books to check out, and their selection / prices absolutely can't be beat.

Rocky is part of the community and has been for years, his kids went to school locally and I love supporting local family people and their local businesses.

Been going here for a long time. Rocky knows a lot about his products and the comic / gaming industry in general. Despite not actually playing Magic, he's pretty good at knowing the cards and what people actually want to buy. Prices are usually on par with everyone else and sometimes lower. Comic Pulls are good, and the other staff members have been pretty good about getting me whatever I need.

Goldmine is an awesome comic shop. I've been going here for years. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The owner knows the business and actually enjoys comics so he knows what he's talking about and helps with any questions. When I moved out of town I still wanted to buy my comics from here so they worked it out with me.

Great customer service. Inviting and knowledgeable employees. My kids are just getting into comics as I'm getting back into them myself after being gone for decades. They are helpful selecting titles new and old for my whole family. I appreciate the complementary comic bag and backboard included with most purchases.

Great shop to get some comics. Friendly staff, very knowledgeable about the comics world.
Not a ton of back issues. Plus, they have posters on the ceiling, so there's that too. Great selection of new releases. They also have game nights.

I usually go there to get my dice sets. They are always really well stocked and they are super helpful. I really enjoy the dice display setup that they have. The owners are really nice and the employees are always very pleasant. I will continue to shop here

This is a nice comics and cards store. They have some assorted commons, and a good selection of uncommon cards. Lots of comic books. I enjoyed playing some magic there on their casual Saturday’s.

Great service with people who love the area of business and our great friends with all their customers. They are very knowledgeable and will order anything they can and get together every holiday customers and business owners together and it's just an amazing place for people who like the same things to come together.

Good place to get a lot of items. I went in to buy some comic books for old times sake. I haven't read one in decades. The store is just like I remember it. The gentleman working behind the counter was excellent at answering questions and referring comics to me. The only downside, and it may be because comics are a dying art, they don't stock a lot anymore. You have to have a pull list. But if you plan for that, I know they'll make sure you have it.

I live in New Hampshire but I traveled recently to Michigan to see some family and stopped into this card store to check out what they had for Pokemon. With the giant pokemon craze right now it’s trough to find anything but MAN this place is a LITERAL Goldmine. I was so so happy to walk in. They had the most pokemon stock Ive seen at any store. They had a wide variety of different packs and their prices blew any other card shop out of the water. My fiance and I spent about $2200 in pokemon cards throughout the week here because I was so impressed with everything they had. The two gentlemen that I met workingn there, the owner I believe, and a younger gentlemen with glasses were both very knowledgeable and friendly! If you get a chance to go here... DO IT!

The people here are very friendly. They always have a good variety, and are willing to answer and have answers to all of my questions. I would definitely recommend checking it out, and supporting these guys.

After not reading comics for over 20 years I decided to get back into the arena. After going to several comic stores in the area I chose Goldmine Comics as my go-to store. I'm not sure who else works there but, Andy and Rocky are always helpful, knowledgeable and even great with my daughters that come along every week. My 6-year old looks forward to our weekly trip to Goldmine every Wednesday now. I take advantage of their pull system, and its benefits, as well as using comixology to select my pulls at home weeks before I set foot into the store to pick them up. Every Wednesday incidentally.

The comics are displayed on a long wall and it's easy to see the new releases. Also, every comic is bagged and boarded. This is a necessity to me and I greatly appreciate it. I also appreciate the knowledge that Andy, the employee that I typically deal with, has as far as comics and graphic novels are concerned. I'm always able to get answers to my frequent questions, as well as have interesting conversations as I browse the shelves.

If I was still into Magic cards, all of the display cases are dedicated to the game. They have 100's of action figures, models, statues and a small section dedicated to RPG and board games.

For the life of me I don't understand some of the 1-star reviews I've read here so I wanted to help out a good store and share my experiences.

Great prices and totally chill atmosphere. Definitely my preferred source for comics and graphic novels.

I wasn't there for long I got a few cards I liked the prices where fair TCG I've seen places a lot higher very nice atmosphere and layout. I loved the in-case card rollers. staff was as attentive as necessary once again I've experienced worse

I came with a friend, so I was just there to browse while they bought, but I noticed the staff answer all sorts of customer's questions promptly, courteously, and the staff were well informed. There was also an immense variety of product, and prices were fair. Thanks!
