Jonathan Stevens Mattress Store Portage

We met Tom when our physical therapist encouraged us to find a mattress with good support. We wanted to know details about the elements that can make a mattress solid, long-lasting, and extremely comfortable. Tom was friendly and down-to-earth, just what we wanted. After he introduced us to a variety of alternatives, he gave us space to try them at our own pace, and when we asked questions, he willingly gave us information. We had delivery yesterday, and for reasons of health and comfort we’re very happy with our choice.

We couldn’t be happier with our new custom-made Jonathan Stevens mattress. We needed a lower mattress and Jonathan Stevens was able to custom make the mattress in Grand Rapids and get it to us very quickly here in Kalamazoo. Our service in the Portage store was very professional, and the staff was very knowledgeable. They were able to get things moving along very quickly. When the bed was delivered, the delivery staff was excellent. We couldn’t be happier and plan to buy our next mattress from Jonathan Stevens!

Thank God for Jonathan Stevens! First of all, we were greeted and helped by Tom at the store on Westnedge. He was VERY friendly and answered every question we had. He knew right where to direct us in the store to help us pick the perfect bed. Everyone communicated with us the whole way from the time we first walked in until delivery. These people genuinely care. Not to mention the phenomenal prices beat every crazy expensive mattress store out there. Add in the Michigan made perfection of a bed that we just slept on for the first night and we couldn’t be happier! The employees truly go above and beyond for their customers. Caeleigh was great!..... I walked in and she was very approachable asking me details about what I was looking for.... I tried different beds for firmness and made my selection after discussing availability and pricing..... all in all in was so easy.... about 45 minutes.... got what I wanted and a truly pleasant experience!

I love my new mattress!!! I needed to get rid of my old king size and get a queen. I was treated well and not pressured at all. Actually came back about 2 or 3 weeks later to order. I tried several of the mattresses without looking at prices. The one I really liked was surprising inexpensive, but it was the one I kept going back too. There was no pressure to upgrade either.
I did not realize how poorly I had been sleeping on the old mattress. Now I am sleeping wonderfully. I track my sleep with my apple watch and I can see a difference in the pattern. Very little awake time and deep sleep taking place not only at the beginning of sleep, but sometimes later during sleep as well. Also, getting 7.5 to 8 hours of sleep.
I like my bed so much I have to force myself to get up in the morning. I would highly recommend Johnathan Stevens if you are looking for a mattress!!!

My spouse and I can't say enough about the wonderful folks at the Portage store. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Tom who made the entire shopping process comfortable and low pressure. He answered all of our questions, stayed within our budget, and found us the most comfortable, Michigan made, bed!

In addition to the sales process, the customer service process was phenomenal. When we put everything together, we realized our foundation made everything too tall. My wife and I stopped in to see what mattresses were available at the Portage, MI store. We met Tom Diippel and he took the time to show us the selections available and gave us all the time we needed to try each out. He was very knowledgeable about the different mattresses and the level of firmness. He went over there construction and the warranty coverage. I went in seeking a new mattress with a bed frame in the back of my mind . Tom over exceeded my expectations and got me a mattress and adjustable bed frame for a good price. His customer service was phenomenal and he was a pleasure to work with.

Caeleigh was wonderful! Rarely have I encountered a customer service representative who was so knowledgeable about the product, friendly, helpful, and gracious in allowing as much time as I needed (which was several hours - so many good options to choose from in bedding). She went above and beyond, as she explained how mattresses are assembled, and showed samples of the composition of mattresses. She was able to confidently and thoroughly discuss mattresses, foundations, pillows, sheets etc. She stands head and shoulders above other customer service reps I have dealt with, even in very high end furniture stores. This company has quality product and even higher quality customer service. Ask for Antwan he's very knowledgeable on all their product. He will get you exactly what you need, want, or can afford.

Lindsey was very helpful with us on finding the best bed for us to sleep on, she even looked up our old bed we had and got us the same one, the hospitality was the absolute best, I really appreciate all that she did and getting the card was even better thank you so much!
