Metric Motorworks is my go to! Honest knowledgeable staff & really invaluable insight and service. Everyone is kind and friendly and way more authentic than any other garage around town, I never feel like I’m being sold things or like I’m being talked down to. They care about cars, good service, and good parts. Even just getting my oil changes here helps me feel more comfortable on the road because I know they’ll check my car thoroughly and let me know if they notice any other issues, as well as being kind enough to check potential things I mention that I’m worried about when I come in. Cannot recommend coming in enough!!

I have been a patron of Metric Motors for years and have always found them to be knowledgeable, fair, honest, and kind. The new facility is clean and spacious, and Kalamazoo/Portage is fortunate to have them.

I took my Audi A4 in for what I thought was a bad fuel pump. It turns out it was my crankshaft sensor and Metric got my car running fast. I dropped it off on Wednesday and it was ready by Friday, and It hasn't run this well in a long time. High quality work and very professional service - if you own an import this place should be your new shop!

These folks are great. With my job, I don't have much time to talk on the phone so they text me updates and estimates. They also are very agreeable about payments-- to get bigger work done I have paid half up front and half when the work is finished. Their work lasts and my car drives really great after it comes back from this shop. Your car is in good hands with these folks.

They may not be the least expensive but do you really want cheap when you have work done on your car? These guys will take care of you and are class acts. Recently had services done and during the service another part broke, we worked out a deal that I think both parties were good with. They made it right and really do phenomenal work and wont let your car leave until its tested.

I was traveling from Chicago to northern Michigan and my car started overheating. With all the road construction and not being familiar with the area- I started to panick! I searched for car repair and drove to this great place! Keith said no problem, they could take a look. Within minutes Corey took a look, replaced a hose clamp and refilled my antifreeze. I was back on the road and so appreciative of these kind men. It’s nice to know there are kind souls still out there!!

I couldn't recommend this place more. Keith in customer service will almost literally bend over backwards for you. He truly cares about his customers, and he takes the extra steps to get you taken care of.

Absolutely the best service I've had.

Ben has saved me thousands of dollars in car repairs over the years.
Just recently Firestone and 3 other repair shops were diagnosing a noise from my engine bay as a $4K transmission replacement.
Ben took the time to actually look at my vehicle and determined it was an $1800 air conditioning compressor and evap module.
Dude saved me $2200 and had me out in one day.

Perfect place to repair my luxury Honda Accord.

Ben was able to fit me in for service before a trip. I appreciate him looking over the car in addition to changing my oil to give me piece of mind before a road trip.

He found some small other issues, and said we could deal with those when I got back to Kalamazoo. I plan to return.

Service and communication is exceptional! Ben and Keith are passionate about what they do and take great care of their customers. I’ll definitely use them again!

Ben is a stand-up guy. You won't find a better person and more diligent mechanic to work on your vehicle. He will get it done right. I just sent a lady in a grocery store to him. Hope she finds her way there.

Metric Motorworks is a hidden gem in Kalamazoo. They go the extra mile to fix issues quickly and reasonably. Their shop is clean and welcoming!

Ben's a good dude. Worked on my Supra, got it fixed, didn't add gratuitous miles like I would've :D
