The innkeepers, Deb and Craig, are the warmest, most welcoming hosts. They pay such attention to detail. They do everything within their power to assure their guests have a wonderful visit.

From the moment we walked through the doorway, we were treated like family (only better...)

The rooms are so comfy and the house is spotless. The food is amazing (a 3-course breakfast that left me full through late afternoon). Snacks and beverages available all day long, warm cookies in the evening, it was paradise!

My husband and I hated to leave! Hoping we get to go back, again, soon!!!!

Our room, the Shelby Suite was wonderful. The updated bathroom with the amazing shower and claw foot tub was spectacular. I used the provided bath salts to soak away the days muscle aches from the 24 mile bike ride along the Hart-Montegue bike trail. I would recommend staying here. The food was delicious and there are many perks, hot tub,, coffee , drinks and snack galore.. There is even warm cookies at night to end your day. The B&B was within walking distance to several restaurants and close driving distance to Lake Michigan and the Silver Lake Dunes and multiple wineries.

The two innkeepers there were seriously some of the nicest people I've ever met. When my girlfriend and I stayed there we happened to be the only two at the entire B&B and Deb and Craig absolutely crushed the service. The food was approaching Michelin star levels of deliciousness. Similarly, about 2 weeks before our stay, Craig called me to ask about our gluten free restrictions and make certain he was able to accommodate us. I knew from that exact moment they were going to be excellent. Turns out I was right! I seriously cannot recommend this B&B enough! I'm trying to get everyone I know to head out there for a weekend. To Deb and Craig, "You guys are awesome, and thanks for the recipe on the sweet potato crisps!"

The stay at Hart House was excellent. The breakfasts each morning were definitely the highlight as the food was amazing and multiple courses. The dishes were varied and unique utilizing the local in season produce. The bedroom was nice and had many nice touches like providing bath soap, shampoo, sewing kit as well as air freshener and hand soap. The outdoor patio was great and we used both the hot tube and fire pit. The hot tube is definitely newer and has plenty of jets. The area downstairs was a great place to talk or play games. We also just sat on the porch and played Uno, which was very pleasant. Everyone was very nice and I would definitely recommend it!

My wife and I stayed here on our wedding night, and have nothing but positive things to say after our experience! Patrice and Al are great people who shared their love of the house and food, and provided top-notch customer service. As a couple in our early 30's, and having lived and travelled to many places, we have experienced a wide variety of both accommodations and service, and Hart House ranks among some of the best we've experienced. They were flexible with our check-in, being that we wanted to leave a vehicle there earlier in the day and arrive later at night. Upon check-in, Patrice specifically remembered my wife's dietary restrictions, and we were surprised with a room upgrade. The house had a warm, charming feel, and the room was well decorated and upgraded with modern conveniences like multiple phone plugs and outlets, and emergency/safety equipment. The three course breakfast was fantastic, and it was hard to believe when Patrice mentioned that she does not consider herself a chef. Could have fooled us!

We recommend the Hart House as a great place to stay, especially for couples. It's even worth going a little out of the way for.

A beautiful house in the cutest town that’s close to all the fun and adventure! Deb and Craig were wonderful innkeepers. They made amazing breakfast every morning and the cookies at night were the perfect way to end the evening! We will definitely be back and I’ll be recommending everyone I know to stay here!

Five women celebrated our collective birthdays by treating ourselves to a weekend at Hart House. Gorgeous newly restored and preserved 1904 home, welcoming and passionate owners/hosts, the softest sheets, fun hot tub and an outdoor gas fire patio. Breakfast was gourmet, 3-course delicious. Rooms are comfortable and each unique. We loved every luxurious aspect. Congrats Patrice and Al!

My partner and I checked in to the Hart House Bed & Breakfast and from the moment we walked in, it was *amazing*. The service was the perfect balance of being attentive but still giving us privacy, and then there was the food! THE FOOD! My gosh! For all you gluten free people out there, this is your place. We feasted. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We'll definitely be back.

My husband and I love this bed and breakfast. The house has been recently renovated, bringing in modern conveniences while keeping the historic charm of the building. The innkeepers, Al and Patrice, are wonderful, as is Patrice's cooking, from fresh baked cookies at check-in and in the evenings to creative and delicious breakfasts. Patrice did an amazing job accommodating my dietary needs. I highly recommend this establishment.

This is the coziest bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. Al and Patrice are incredible hosts and they went over and above to ensure we had everything we needed. The house is beautiful, and the outdoor space with fire pit and hot tub is inviting. Also, the breakfasts are 5-star, a meal you would not get anywhere else.

We spent this past weekend at the Hart House and had a wonderful time. We had a long weekend without kids and it was the PERFECT location for a relaxing getaway weekend. The breakfast was absolutely delicious all three mornings. The thought and attention put into every detail of this space did not go unnoticed. Also, I don't think it could have been any cleaner even if they tried :)
It was a nice driveable distance from the Grand Rapids area- I have nothing negative to say about our weekend away. We are already talking about when and how we can make another trip soon. If you need to get away and relax- this space will not disappoint!

The service, ambiance, kindness, food and amenities are unmatched! My daughter and I had the most relaxing and pampered weekend ever. Al, Patrice and their staff set the bar on bed and breakfasts so high, nothing we've been at before even comes close.
Three course breakfasts with absolutely incredible gourmet food(even for us vegetarians)- we cant wait to do this again!

Fantastic place! The house keeps its old charm without sacrificing modern convenience. The rooms are very comfortable and the owners go out of their way to ensure you have everything you could ever need. On top of that, an incredible 3 course breakfast each morning! Anyone visiting Hart, Pentwater, or the surrounding areas should definitely stay here.

We stayed at Hart House for an anniversary getaway weekend. We stay at Bed and Breakfasts for each anniversary, but this was probably our favorite yet. Innkeepers were SUPER friendly and accommodating, house was gorgeous, and breakfasts were amazing. We would absolutely stay again.

Hart House is by far the best place I’ve stayed at. Al and Patrice are beyond welcoming, the amenities and extra touches are everything you could think of, and patrice is a 5 star chef. You should come for the breakfast alone. I can’t wait to come back!

My wife and I stayed recently. Al and Patrice are amazing hosts - the house is beautiful and so is the area.

We were just looking for a little weekend getaway from the Detroit area and it was fantastic - I can't recommend it enough.

My first bed and breakfast experience and it was amazing. Great hospitality, delicious breakfast and outstanding room. A big bonus was the outdoor seating with gas fireplace and hot tub.
