Bull N' Claw

We came here around 2019 before COVID and absolutely loved the sea scallops. We just stopped by here and as last time, the service was excellent with very sweet ladies working and hustling as much as they had a notice that they were short staffed.

The sea scallops were so tender and amazing! We could eat here everyday. The atmosphere is excellent and the room was warm but not hot. We're coming back soon!

This place feels like your regular hometown restaurant. It isn't upscale and trendy (which I love about it) it has been around 50 years. Loved the salad bar! Prime rib was awesome. Sherry, our waitress was awesome, and I can't say enough good about her. We ate here twice on our vacation and asked to sit at one of her tables the second time we went. We will be back to the Bull and Claw, and hopefully, Sherry will be working that night. 5 stars for Sherry.

My son was here a few months before our June visit and had to come back to try the 24” lobster roll and it did not disappoint! He was very happy with it and left full and satisfied. He also said the salad bar is great. My grandson was pleased with his kids meal cheese burger and happy with the ice cream sandwich at the end. The fried mushrooms were really good. The stuffed shrimp tasted good but not what I expected when I ordered stuffed shrimp. The rolls were amazing! It’s a very casual restaurant and has availability for large parties. There is a beautiful fire place that I would imagine would be wonderful in the cooler season. Our server was great! She was very personable and funny. She apologize for our food taking awhile to come, she didn’t get our food order in before a big party. I’m looking to come back and try that 24” lobster roll!

I absolutely loved this restaurant. There was a 45-minute but it went fast and was worth the wait. The staff was super friendly. Our waitress Lynette was the best very friendly and kind. This was our first trip to Maine when we come back I will stop and have dinner here again.

The salad bar was fresh!! With lots of choices.
The soup bar had 3 soups (I tried 2) They were yummy. My personal favorite was the corn chowder.
Our main meals did not disappoint. They were cooked correctly and plenty of it! (I wish I had gotten a picture before my dad topped his meal off with catsup.) Take home containers, please. 😉
The rest rooms were clean. Be careful as one stall lock is broken. I had an interesting way of meeting another employee. Lol. The atmosphere was pleasing. There's a large gas fireplace. I bet it's nice in the colder months.
As for us, we will definitely be back!

My lady bought me dinner for my birthday.
The prime rib was excellent. The soup was delicious, as was the salad bar which was very fresh. Was our first time at the Bull and Claw. Will definitely be back.

Stopped by after seeing the sign for soup. The beef and barley soup was awesome and the rolls were amazing. The salad bar had great options and Sherri our waitress was very nice and attentive. The lite bits options were perfect size for us after eating our weight in soup and salad. Def a place I will be adding to my stops list when we are in Maine

So glad we discovered this place today.
Actually we were heading to The Maine Diner (across the street)and it was so crowded.
So we ventured across the street. It was a good move and an excellent choice.
Love love love that someone has reopened their salad bar!!! The salad items were all fresh and delicious.
I had the lobster roll, which was very good. Really like the roll - it was soft on the inside and had a toasty exterior- very good.
My hubby had the whole fried clams - delicious. I had one of the special October cocktails - it also was very good.

First time at Bull N’ Call was a pleasant experience. Our sassy waitress was funny and attentive. We started with Dirty Martinis which were tasty. Our meal started with a warm roll with butter, dinner included fried haddock and scallops with fries and coleslaw, sirloin steak cooked medium well, and another sirloin steak cooked medium rare with a 1 1/4 lb Lobster. The steaks were 8 oz each and nicely charred. The scallops were bay scallops and tasted fresh, two nice sized and flaky haddock pieces, We’ll be back and try the Cajun prime rib for dinner.

The Haddock fish was great! I got it baked. The mashed potatoes and broccoli were also good. My family enjoyed their meals also! Thank you!

Phenomenal! The waitress was so sweet and attentive, the food was soooo good! We got mussels, and both got steak with a side of shrimp and scallops. They cooked our steaks perfectly to our liking. They have an awesome salad bar. I will most certainly be back again when my travels lead me to Maine. You guys rock ❤

My Aunt, brother and myself stopped in for lunch. I love the coziness of this place. Great salad bar.Great service. Our food was delicious. We will definitely stop in again next time we go to Wells. We had fried seafood and chicken tenders. Yum!

Get ready for this absolutely best lobster/ prime Rib meals ! The bus load of people served (55) served in family style long tables, in less than Hour! We had the best staff ,who worked together seamlessly to accommodate all our needs ❤ 💙. Everyone raved on the food especially the hot just baked buns!!! Love the atmosphere! Love the Service!A must stop destination in Maine !

My clams and scallops were perfect the lobster roll was very good and lots of lobster meat and very reasonable prices. I highly recommend.

I had seen commercials for this place. Today I went. Our server was over the top! We got a prime rib and steak and lobster. Delicious! The mashed potatoes are homemade. Great meal but what makes the place is service.

My sister and her boyfriend took me here for lunch. The place is cute and quaint. The main reason for us being here was the clam chowder and the 2 foot lobster rolls. The clam.chowder was piping hot and chunky with clams.

At first we were told after placing our lobster orders that the shipment didn't come in today. Just as we were going to leave we were told that the lobsters arrived! So we got 1 2-foot butter lobster roll and 1 2-foot cold lobster roll. Hands down best food I've had in a long time. We also got mussels that were really good.

First time here with my wife everything was great onion peddles delicious steak juicy and the pork was tender great crispy fries and our waitress was very polite. Will definitely be back

This is a very casual place with excellent coffee, lots of variety and some unexpected options that makes it very popular with the locals and travelers alike! The outside is pretty, with a lot of mind in detail. The interior has a lot to look at. The breakfast buffet is vast and everything was well prepared and delicious! I'm not sure the brand of coffee they serve, but it had a lovely taste and zero bitterness. The staff was very polite, kind and personable. The location is perfect, between all of the hotels, resorts, and campgrounds and not far from the shopping centers and tourist-y shops. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and intend to return here on my next trip!

I am a server at The Bull & Claw. I find the food delicious and fairly priced. We are open 7 days a week no matter how short staffed we are. We are doing our best to serve our customers. Of course we want you to be happy with our service as we live off our tips. Do we make mistakes, yes we are human and we are also exhausted as we have been working short staffed since the pandemic . No server anywhere deserves a zero tip unless they are rude to the customer. You have no idea how much we appreciate our customers that are patient, kind and that tip well. The customers that thank us for coming to work. The rude impatient - not so much, and yet we still treat you the same.

Yummy... I LOVE ❤ a good salad bar and I miss them since covid, it's certainly a rare find. But this place had one! It was clean fresh and all the goodies! I also had the lobster roll, just the small one but my boyfriend and brother had the big one andsplot it and we all love it! My 4 yr old niece, who is hard to please (lol) loved her burger and to everyone's surprise my 8 yr old niece ordered the kids fish and chips, she said she wanted to try it... now this kid is picky!... and SHE LOVED IT! I really loved this place. I hope it's there forever and ever
