There is a language barrier. I have been back to this place several times. Only the first time my food was wrong. I took it back to replaced it no problem and I've been there several times since and the food is always good, hot fresh I will repeat

First time trying china 1 I got the honey chicken and my boyfriend got the general tso’s Chicken and it was delicious! And big portions even with the lunch specials that we got we still have half left for later!

Very fast and Really good. We shared one dinner combo and we couldn't finish it all.. Had leftovers for the next day. We also got fried wontons that were great too. :)

i love coming here for chinese food, deadass one of the best spots for chinese food in kentwood. i can’t explain my love for this place, the owners are genuinely so nice and put so much effort into what they do

I go to this restaurant at least once a month. The buffet is great. The best I have ever been to. They are the only to go buffet that includes soup. Only problem is their egg drop and wonton soup are so good I have to get two Buffett’s so I can get both and eat it over the next two days with my daughter. Everything is tasty and reheats just great

I love China 1! It's a bit smaller than most lunch buffets, but the quality of the food is consistently good and the staff is very friendly - they even remember you if you come in on a regular basis. The lunch buffet is very reasonably priced and when I asked for a fortune cookie, I got 10! I go there at least every couple weeks, and so do a bunch of coworkers. Awesome place, hands down.

China 1 is Kentwood's best Chinese restaurant, hands down. It is operated and staffed by the owners. You need anything adjusted, changed, modified...they are happy to accommodate. They are so nice, and they will remember you each time you come in. I have been going here for 7 years, and never ha e been disappointed. Their lunch buffet is delicious and has a great selection. Highly recommend the sauteed string beans, shrimp with vegetables, crystal chicken, etc...YUM!

I ordered from the lunch menu online. I was pleased that it was hot and ready when I requested and now I'm very full. I'm glad I got take out as the lunch crowd had easily filled up the small dining area. I couldn't have asked for anything more and would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

I had China 1's take out lunch buffet - for 6.13+ tax you get a lunch size container to fill up as much as you want. Choices are quite generous - tho most are chicken dishes - couple vegetables, and one shrimp dish (imitation crab with shrimp)

Everything tastes fresh - meat... vegetables... rice... no old oil taste like some restaurants do

Really good Chinese food made fresh and hot.

You can taste the five spice in the bourbon chicken. The buffet is small, and seating can be crowded, but it's wonderful for the price. When it's quiet you can hear the wife singing in her native language.

Have always thought this place has the best Chinese in town. Small, family owned - delicious food.

Lunch buffet is $7 and the food is good. Seating is a bit limited at noon but usually isn't too bad a bit before or after.
