Super 8 by Wyndham McHenry

I liked this place, the atmosphere of this place, the staff of the hotel was so great that I didn't feel like leaving this place, so I stayed in the hotel for 2 more days without any reason.
The owner of this hotel himself came to meet me, asked me how I was doing and talked like a friend, he is such an owner that I don't want to leave his presence. Very clean and newly renovated hotel front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.

Super 8 McHenry is an excellent motel that I highly recommend for your stay. The front desk staff, particularly the gentleman who assisted me, was exceptionally courteous, friendly, and accommodating. The rooms were immaculately clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and tidy environment.

My visit to Super 8 McHenry was truly pleasant, and I wholeheartedly suggest this establishment for anyone seeking a delightful and hassle-free stay. The combination of top-notch service, clean accommodations, diverse breakfast choices, and a serene ambiance make this motel a remarkable choice.

One of the best super 8 motel I have visited. Especially the front desk guy is more Obedient and friendly. And rooms are tidy and clean. A point to mention about Breakfast having with wide varieties and peaceful place. The only motel I saw providing 24 * 7 service. I can suggest this place to stay.

I want to say thank you so much for allowing me to stay at ur hotel. You got the best staff. Ram is my favorite staff. Here is my complaint,The breakfast area needs more options and clean better. Housekeeper needs to clean better, inside and out. The rooms, I asked to clean my room house keeper would skip or forget or never was told. When they clean I still got garbage on the floor my bathroom isn't clean good n bathtub, But over all the negatives the staff is good and friendly. Yes I would come back and hope I can see the new look in October

Check in- The gentlemen at the front was very helpful through check in and providing extra pillows. Any questions we had he answered with a smile! Great customer service!!

Rooms- we have a 8 month old I always check the rooms everywhere before we even bring her in. I walked in to the room smelling fresh and the floors really clean. I check the bed last very closely and not a single issue. I felt comfortable with her crawling around (new parents here so we are very cautious) If your looking for a clean hotel room this is it!

Location- we are 10 minutes within a coffee place, local grocery store and some really good food places!

I would again recommend it here and honestly the gentleman at the front had great customer service he was friendly throughout our entire stay. That was big for us! If we travel through again we will be staying here

I saw some of the negative reviews. I am not sure what people expect when they book a Super 8. It wont be a HILTON. Yet, even with less pricey Super 8 alternative, one can expect a level of cleanness and care. And that is what I experienced. I was there several days last week. I have seen many hotel across the US in the lower price section and I must say, I was positively surprised. The room was clean, cozy and actually all I needed for the days I was there. I didn't have breakfast, I simply don't eat that early. I thought a breakfast time until 10 am would have been nice, but it doesn't degrade my stay. It was quiet! I liked that the owner is very picky as to who he let stay in the hotel what added to the security of the hotel. My room was 217, and I was pleased. The location is good too. Max 5min from the McHenry center and close to field and stream if you want to do some outdoors time. I'll be back!

Add-on 8/30/2022: I returned to the hotel and have to underline everything I wrote in my first review. It was the perfect stay! Last time I forgot something valuable in the room and the owner of the hotel kept it safe and returned it to me. This time I checked the breakfast and it is totally fine. Coffee, different cereal and breakfast cakes etc. Its a good hotel. Period!

The staff was amazing and the rooms were very clean. The hotel was also quiet and the air conditioning was amazing. This place is well worth the money and I can't praise the staff enough.

The check in process is very easy/fast and the staff are very courteous. The rooms are clean. My family stays there for what you want a room to be, a place to sleep, clean up and for the price is well worth it. Have stayed there multiple times over the last 12 years and is our go to place.

The manager went out of his way to make sure we had a great room. We were very pleased with our stay.
