Bell's Eccentric Cafe

Our Totally 80’s Tribute band, The 1985 had an absolute BLAST playing at Bell’s! The venue is SPOTLESS with SO much attention to detail. Sound was fantastic, plus the staff was very friendly and helpful. And of course there is the BEER! SO great!

Great atmosphere. Large selection of quality beer. Staff was very attentive and friendly. There is plenty of seating. Nice selection of food choices as well.

I've loved Bell's beer for years now and definitely needed to stop in on our road trip. It was a treat to have some beers that I haven't seen in the stores.

Beautiful inside. If you don’t go for the beer go for the atmosphere. The beer was good though and they had a lot of options. The perogies were to die for. I could’ve eaten 2 orders. 10/10 will be going back. I drove from IL to visit & would drive again. Everyone was very nice too. It’s a family place so I’d recommend going even if you don’t drink.

The beers were amazing. I had the cherry bomb burger and it was about one of the spiciest things I have even eaten but it was full of flavor as well. The poutine was not as good as we hoped. The environment and atmosphere were amazing. Kaylee was our server and she took great care of us. From out of town but like visiting the area so we will be back.

Wow, what an amazing meal. You must try the Cherry bomb burger. The chef definitely knew what he was talking about when he put all the amazing flavors together and this dish. The side salad was delicious and I top it off of the pickle. So amazing!

We also had a half slammer rims. They appeared to be a little old, we're tasty but were lacking. We are Rib lovers, but we'll definitely skip these next time.

Try their beer flights; the Expedition stout was phenomenal!

First time visiting. I went for a concert. Everything and everyone was perfect. CC was my server and gave me just the right amount of attention. Brought Refills on the iced tea when I needed them but before I could ask. I work in the industry and I go to plenty of shows every year. The sound and atmosphere couldn't be better. Mark, who does the sound for indoor shows, helped me out with info on food and bathroom options. He was great and a nice guy. I probably saved at least a half hour possibly more because of him. The menu is not too big and varies enough for any taste. I had deviled eggs, whitefish spread and the Italian sandwich. Everything was fantastic. The side salad with the sandwich had a terrific house dressing and the cherry tomatoes were cut in half which is a small detail but makes eating them way easier than trying to stab a small round ball with a fork. Everything about this place seems well thought out and they appeared to be staffed really well. Thank you everyone! The kitchen staff deserves a medal.

We stopped here on the way to a wedding. I'm so glad that we did. The food was great as were the staff and atmosphere. We had the beer soaked brat, wings, tacos and a chicken salad. Everyone loved their choices! We also had a flight of beer and they were all good. I definately want to go back and enjoy an outside concert sometime.

Burger: got a cheeseburger with pickled and garlic mayo. Burger was pretty good, better than what you get at most sit-down restaurants. Though the garlic mayo was amazing, tasted like it was actually made with garlic. Would highly recommend it.

Seasoned fries: Typically I don’t like sugar on my food unless it is for desert. But this is the exception. Though it has a sugary taste they combo’d it perfectly with some good spices. Both the sweet and spicy flavors support each other and just taste amazing. I’d say they come close to beating Hop Cat’s fries.

Overall very pleased with the food, left nothing on my plate; would definitely order it again.

Wonderful place to eat/enjoy live music outside. Pictured is the Cherry Cider and Smash Burger + fries.

Benches were great outdoors and drinks/ food was delicious. I like that there are non-beer options on the menu.

The General Store also has great souvenirs for beer lovers.

It's a Bell's beer selection! Varied menu and flavor selection. We were able to walk up to a table. Plenty of parking, nay have to walk a bit.

I’ve wanted to come this way a very long time & call in to Bell’s. I was glad I did. The staff was very friendly.

I’ve worked in a brewery & cringe whenever someone orders a flight. However, guilty as hell your honor & had a nice flight served with a genuine smile & kind words.

We didn’t eat dinner. We saw some dishes & it looked good. They have a back room events type area big enough for a worthy small concert venue. This night The Arena Rock Band or similar name (70’s & 80’s cover band) was sound checking for a sold out show later.

I closed out my flight with a full pour of HopSlam.

We visited the store after, got some carry out, swag & left happy.

The industrial feel of the area as well as being right on the Rail Road Tracks made it seem that much cooler.

FYI ~ They like you (at least when we called in) to get table, grab the number on the table & bring it to the counter & then the food is delivered to your table identified by your number.

The good thing is you walk away with your beer & don’t have to wait for it to be delivered.

My daughter, niece and her husband and me and my husband went here for a quick bite to eat and to visit for awhile. It was Saturday night around 8:30 p.m.
We only had to wait a few minutes for a table.

The atmosphere was energetic, friendly and welcoming. The staff was great. The waitress was very helpful with our meal choices.

My husband got a burger with fries. He said it was very juicy and flavorful.
My daughter got chicken tenders with fries. She said it had good flavor.
My niece ordered the chicken parm sandwich. She said it was very good. A little messy...lol, but very good.
Her husband ordered the tacos. He said they were amazing.

They also had a live band playing. The seating opportunities was great. You could sit outside listening to the band while eating and having a great beer.
What a great place to go for a fun, relaxing night out.

We will definitely return for another amazing meal and a nice evening out with family and friends.

I get the Cherry Bomb smash burger every time I come here. Super underrated menu item. Easily my favorite burger anywhere. Great price and absolutely delicious!

Really want to give a huge shoutout to the manager on duty tonight, Alex. My daughter left her retainers in a napkin and the staff, unknowingly, cleared the table and threw them out (not their fault at all). Alex went out back to the dumpster area and sifted through multiple bags of garbage. About 30 minutes later he found them. (We offered to do the searching but only employees are allowed back there). He turned an otherwise unfortunate evening completely around. Anyway, thanks Alex, that was super cool of you and we can't thank you enough.

A beer lovers Mecca that everyone should try. Bell's is high-end, very clean and the food is great. This cherry bomb burger with a fried egg is my go to! For 30 years I've enjoyed this downtown Kalamazoo pub. The beer garden is great in the summer and they have a great night scene with awesome national acts. The pub only beer offerings are unique with many exclusive single run beers. Need good stuff head to Bell's!

Loved Bell's! The burgers are excellent, fries are crisp and tasty, and the fruit smash beverage was delicious 😋! Service was quick and efficient. It was a beautiful building with stained glass windows in the bar area. Everything was clean.

Came out here for Oberon day and had a great experience trying all of the variants, that being said after coming out here for the last 3 years, I really think they need to find a better way to keep the lines moving. I'd check with Chick Fil A for ideas on how to do that.

When it's not Oberon day this place is perfect for a road trip to drink good beer and have a good burger.
