Stopped in for hot tea while on the road. Ended up with tea and wonderful homemade biscotti. The owner and her husband were so nice and welcoming, I didn't want to leave! I'd drive the 2 hours just for another visit!! One of the most charming places I've been!

Had a delicious cup of Bean Soup, 1/2 Turkey Panini and 1/2 piece of Lemon Cheesecake pie at a reasonable price, all in a relaxed atmosphere with a small gift shop on the other side of the cafe. The only downside is you need cash to add a tip to your bill as you can't add a tip to your credit card payment.

Four of us had a delicious leisurely lunch in the snug vault of the former bank: chicken curry stew with salad and bread, grilled cheese, tomato soup, incredibly good raspberry ice tea, and homemade pies for dessert. Great place for a quiet conversation. We've been here before and will be back.

Stopped here to shop a couple of years ago without knowing of the cafe inside. Today we made the hour drive to specifically eat at Wild Hares. First off the staff was very kind and personable. And the food... Well it was fabulous, far exceeded our expectations!! A perfect light lunch! I highly recommend a stop at this quaint little shop and cafe. We will return!!

I love this little shop/restaurant. It is really a nice tea room according to my wife. Everything is made fresh and spiced wonderfully. I love the soups and the pie ala-mode. Servings are not huge but the quality is.

Everything I've had to eat there has great. Their salad sampler plate is one of my favorites along with any of their soups. End it with any pick of their desserts (peanut butter pie)my pick. Then browse the store.

The Amazing restaurant inside the building, named the Wild Hare, has food, that I GUARANTEE YOU, will blow your mind.
I have lived around Logan County for 52 years, and it's the best I've had.
The store, and restaurant as you walk in is painted EVERYWHERE.
Local artist works, antiques, the best food in 30 miles, and a decor the like you have to see to enjoy..

Off the beaten path but on Route 66 is this quaint tea room. The owner is European and an excellent cook. I had asparagus quiche, stuffed pepper soup with artisan bread and chocolate mousse. Everything is homemade with all natural ingredients. His use of spices is spot on. The food was delicious! After lunch I browsed the nic nacs in the lobby. Many eclectic gems at reasonable prices. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.
