Vincennes University

I am proud to say I am a student at Vincennes University. It is the most amazing school with the best faculty, financial aid department teachers and facility. Not to mention the most inexpensive School in the state. I am a sophomore and I've been to three colleges this is the best college in the world! I would recommend it to anyone!

Went here from 2014-2016. Really enjoyed every minute here. The classes and all the programs I took for Computer Networking were top notch. I see a lot of reviews about people not liking the school or town, and it may have changed since I was there a few years ago. I was fortunate enough to be roommates with people I've known all of my life, but it's really about finding things to do in town. On the surface, Vincennes looks really boring, but I promise there is a lot to do there. There are some cool shops downtown to check out for one.

Anyway, when I went there, the classes and professors were great. They were always willing to help and work with you as well.

I lived in Harrison my first year and Clark my second year. The bathrooms in Harrison were terrible. It was never the janitor's fault, and quite frankly I always felt bad for them. It was,and probably still is, the people who live there that make those bathrooms so disgusting. Clark Hall, on the other hand, was great! Hard to get into so make sure if you want to get in you apply for it early.

The dining center was better than I expected for a small college like this. It's true that it's pretty much the same food every week, but it's still good. There's enough variety so you don't get burned out

I have loved every minute here at Vincennes University. I began here getting my 2 year transfer degree in Electrical Engineering. Once I transferred to a "big" school, I realized the amount of debt I would have to incur and decided against it. I came back here for Electronics Technology. The staff, in both departments, have always been helpful and go above and beyond compared to the "big" school I attended for one semester with what I could afford. I already have a job lined up that pays $30/hr (and will pay for me to finish my engineering degree), doing what I love. This is immediately after graduation. I would disregard *most* of the naysayers. The incident where a student was "threatened" for solely being black ended up being completely fabricated. Video footage of the dorm showed that the student never left their room; he overslept and decided to try to find an excuse and is now facing criminal charges. The culture here at Vincennes University is primarily up to the individual and whom you choose to surround yourself with. Come here for either nursing or a technology program and you are guaranteed to find a career that you will love (while graduating with minimal to no debt).

Good campus that has an exceptional I.T. department. Teachers are friendly and do their best at working with a diverse student body. Awesome food in the buffet/cafe for munchies. Students living on campus only have one thing to hold them back from achieving their full potential, that's their peers. I recommend that students be on good behaviour and dedicated to the education they came for. It's easy to get mixed in with wrong crowds and fall behind quickly, as with any campus i'm sure. Nonetheless, I highly recommend for those wanting to get involved with Computing/Networking/Electronics/Technology because it's all readily available at VU. DO NOT attend if you're not 100% passionate about your chosen subject or still undetermined or just wanting the campus life experience. BE WILLING to put in some educational effort and study. Manu people get head-over-heels and quit after a semester or two, myself included. Do I regret attending though? Absolutely not. I'm thankful to have been accepted and learned a great deal along the way regardless. I will hopefully come back someday and finish what I've started, 5 stars!

Best welding school in America hands down! Instructors that take time to make sure the student is ready to enter the work force. You can not go wrong attending this program or sending your child to Vincennes University Welding Technology program. My son and many students had a job lined up before they even graduated. Employers wait for the students from this program to finish because they know the value of the foundation each student receives in all process's including robotic welding. Outstanding education for an affordable price!

It is an under rated school. People may think that since this is the cheapest institution in the state, you get what you pay for. But that is not the case, you get so much more. The food is great, you get a free gym membership, and the staff are very friendly.

Great school with a fabulous small campus and small class sizes. Now with 4 yr bachelor programs it's even a better value!

Awesome place! I had no idea its the oldest University in Indiana until Today! I believe it said it is or it is one of the oldest cities in the state as well! Everything is close by including the river, parks, stores and historical places!!

Such a beautiful And historical area.

VU is the best. The advisors are amazing and really sit down and talk to you about your degree and which courses you should take. They are caring and committed to giving you the best education. I highly recommend the Accounting Major-Mrs. Nash is the advisor and she is amazing.

The food here is alright but the atmosphere is great even with the current pandemic college students are still going to hang out. You just have to find the right crowd

Good school! Dorms are all pretty nice. Food is good. Help is always there if you ask.

V.U. has great food, friendly people that treat you like family, great classes, and an amazing atmosphere.

Top notice military distance learning program!! I highly recommend VU to all of my military friends!!
