Dean's Cake House

Love making a stop at Dean's! All of the cakes are great. If you can't make it to the bakery in Andalusia, the cakes are sold regionally. Definitely worth a visit!

We were driving through Alabama on the way to Florida and noticed that they had this cake house nearby so we took a little side trip to pick up some cakes. Our favorite cake that we bought was the Italian buttercream cake. I wish I would have gotten a large one of those because the cake itself was very moist. We did get the seven layer caramel and red velvet. Everyone enjoyed it it's also a cute little place all the ladies were real sweet that work there.

I have to be honest, the first time I tried one of these cakes I was not impressed. I don't know how old that one was but after I have bought one fresh myself I get it now. Wow! That's a pretty darn good seven layer chocolate cake!

The sweet lady helped us with our choices and we picked the coconut and cherry cake. It was so moist and delicious, even after 3 days.

I have known the owner for about eight years. The way they make the cakes is very professional, with a touch of contry. The way momma makes it.

We also tried the coconut pecan cookies & wish we had purchased more of them- they are almost gone.

My family saw the signs on our road trip and we had to stop and pick up a cake to bring home.

The location is very small and unassuming. We walked in and checked out all of the cakes that were on the shelf and in the cooler. We chose the classic seven-layer caramel cake and a friendly, smiling person rung up our order.

My family really enjoyed the cake. The light and fluffy layers reminded me of homemade. It was definitely more of a spongy texture than the yellow cake you'd think of from a mix. The caramel frosting was delicious and addicting! If you're thrifty like I am, you'll appreciate the price, which was a fraction of what I've paid at other bakeries for a similar 7-layer caramel cake.

Small town cake shop. No surprises just great cakes and cookies. Cheese straws are GREAT!!

While traveling, my sister Vonnie and I saw their roadside billboard with the yellow 7 layer cake with chocolate icing. SOLD! Within 5 minutes, we were carrying one home for our family. Thank you fir a delicious cake!

Cakes are made daily there's plenty to pick from and the service was fast.

A little slice of goodness! Stopped here on the way to the beach, and grabbed two slices of cake. Both were delicious!

Never had an issue, always been the best cakes you can find! Worth the price!

We've bought Dean's cakes several times and have not been disappointed. Today so many bake goods lack flavor & "homemade" texture. My wife does homemade breads & cookies so when you buy store bought or even "bakery" goods they just don't compare to homemade. However Dean's cakes have been great to us and similar to homemade. Thanks Mrs Dean!

This an awesome cakery and the cakes were delicious.

Very unique place. Depending on the day and time of your visit, you can actually watch employees making the products. Very friendly staff. Prices are NOT outrageous for the quality products available.
My favorite cake is the lemon cheese cake and my favorite cookie is the white chocolate chip; however, it IS difficult to choose!🙂

Stopped by here for first time coming back from destin. I had read about deans in southern living a year ago or more. I got a slice of coconut,pound cake and four layer chocolate. All were excellent. The owner waited on us and she was really nice. Will definitely stop again when go to beach

The sweetest people work there. Delicious cakes . We purchased the sliced cake so we could try more flavors. Got the Italian cream cake and the 7 layer caramel cake. They were amazing.

The 7 layer Lemon Cake is the best! I thought people were exaggerating but after tasting it I should have gotten the whole cake instead of 2 slices! Staff was super friendly as well!
