Beautiful Falls- a good moderate hike- about 2 1/2 hrs or more round trip (depending on how long you stay to soak in the scenery of the falls. Very quiet and peaceful. We found some fiddlehead ferns on the way back.

We really enjoyed this hike. It was around 3 miles one way with all the off trail hikes we took. There are a lot of rock formations, overhangs and small falls to see. It has been really dry this year so there was no water on most of the side falls. The main falls were still flowing some. I would go back. There water being low we found som places to cross the creek and have some lunch.

Very fun & moderate hike! We saw several waterfalls, different varieties of centipedes, mossy rocks, and plant life. Pretty raw path with no markers, several downed trees blocking the path but were fun obstacles to overcome, & can be pretty slick in areas near water so be careful! We ran into sweet hiker twice who told us to keep walking after we thought we saw the waterfalls 2 different times so keep hiking until you reach the wide falls at the end.

Enjoyable hike to a beautiful waterfall. We would recommend this to anyone.

TRAVEL
Access to the trailhead requires a several mile drive down a dirt road with lots of potholes.

PARKING
I have included a picture of the parking area, which is big enough for about 4 vehicles if they will park correctly. Otherwise, there are some spots on the side of the bridge and a small overflow lot on the opposite side of the trailhead.

TRAIL
I would consider this as a moderate to easy hike about 2 miles one way. Trail is unmarked, but as long as you follow the creek, you shouldn't get lost. There are several downed trees across the path that you will need to go over or under. And creek beds you will need to cross but were dry the day I went, could have to cross water after rain. About a mile in, you have the option to keep on the wide main (high) trail or taking a creek trail by veering right. Taking the main trail will lead you to a steep slippery hill where the creekside will be narrow but nowhere as difficult. We did see 2 copperhead snakes.

WATERFALL
This is a tall, beautiful waterfall that is great for pictures. It has a rock shelf that you can walk on to go under the water. The path to get up behind the waterfall is muddy and has slippery rocks. You will need to be very careful and make sure you have good footing, but it is so worth it to get under the falls. There is a nice pool of water, but you will need to be cautious about getting in the water because we found tiny leeches or worms that got on us. It has a nice sandy area that looks to have been used as a camping site before.

This hike was a moderate length and the views were gorgeous! I will definitely be returning to explore some of the other paths available. Highly recommend

This is such a beautiful hike with a variety of awesome things to see!! We ventured slightly off trail several times and were so glad we did!

Make sure to bring your swim suit in the summer! There's a gorgeous swimming hole at the base!

The trail has got some tricky spots, but it's a relatively easy task for the most part. I recommend downloading the All Trails map for this one (All Trails is an app).

It's a longer hike, but well worth it!

It was a nice hike. It's not a flat trail. Some areas have a bit of difficulty, narrow trail along a tributary, only one short steep area. There is a nice waterfall at the end. There are many smaller waterfalls along the way.

Great hike. It was our first time checking out this place. I read reviews where some people said the trails aren't marked very well but it was good for us with obvious trails. There are quite a few waterfalls (most small) that were cool to go check out. The one at the end was the best. The water from all of these is really cold. I'm assuming they're spring fed. On the way in, there's a point that cuts off to the right which is nice to take but took a little longer. It stays closer to the creek. On the way out we just took the main trail which was faster. I would go here again.

Beautiful hike!! About 4 miles total. It’s pretty remote with no service so parking was easy, we just pulled off to the side by the bridge and started there.
3 waterfalls, the last and biggest one is a bit hidden at the end but once you find it it’s gorgeous.
Highly recommend downloading a map before you go if you are afraid of getting lost! I came with a group of people so we weren’t too worried but better safe than sorry! We got in the water at the end and spotted some leeches so be very careful!!

This was such a beautiful and fun hike! I took my wife and 3 young children and it was great for them. The trail was well maintained, with the exception of a handful of logs across the trail. There were a number of small waterfalls along the way which made it fun. The actual falls was beautiful and had plenty of water as it had rained the night before. No snakes seen on this outing, but I’m sure they’re around. Highly recommended though!

Nice hike. Can be rocky and muddy in some areas so watch your step, but beautiful water and waterfalls throughout. Nice 4 mile getaway into nature. You'll come to a beautiful fall, but don't stop there. Cross the rocks until the trail ends for the big waterfall. You can even walk up the rock shelf and behind the falls. Beautiful way to experience God's magnificent glory and work.

The actual parking lot has just enough room for around 4-5 cars. You may have to park on the side of the main road or cross the bridge and park on the left and walk back across the bridge to the trailhead. The trail itself was decently easy for me and my family but if your up in age like me (40+) OR if anyone who have trouble with footing (there are large and small roots a person could trip over) you may want to bring a hiking stick/staff. My family enjoyed the hike but was disappointed when our youngest kid came out of the water with a few leeches on him (they fell off when they stood up and got out of the water). We've been 4 times and it is highly recommended by us!

It’s a beautiful trail not too difficult. There are a couple steep inclines definitely prettier in early spring when water is flowing more.

Well worth the hike!!!

Water was chilly in early October (expected) but didn't stop the kids (10 & 6) from swimming. Excellent views. Very little trash on the trails. Happy we chose this trail & falls.

It’s a reasonably well maintained trail (about 2.3 miles or so each direction per my pedometer) with a beautiful pond and falls at the end. Note that the trailhead is at a bend in a long, potholed, uneven dirt road and there’s really not any “parking” per se; you park on the side of the road near the trailhead. Ground clearance may be a problem on the access road if you’re driving a low-slung car. Trail forks about midway through, and there’s a “high” trail and a “riverside” trail. Some folks returning on the trail said the “high” side was really steep, so we did the “riverside” portion as we had dogs with us. Even that side has a couple of steep stretches that may be difficult for children or folks with arthritis etc. Overall, however, it’s a great trail.

Very easy trail to hike with multiple waterfalls along the way during rainy season.

Getting out and back through the mud was a little tough, but the hike was totally worth it. Icicles hung from every cliff, and it was fun exploring in the ice and snow. I imagine that during the summer months it is just as beautiful.

It was good although rather long. Two fairly low output waterfalls were nice. I forgot to take water so make sure to bring that if you think you'd want it. This trail was on the east side of Bankhead, and there's about a 5 minutes gravel road the last of the way. Little cell service and far from gas stations.
