We hiked out here and went a little further down the trail till it was blocked by a recent tree fall. The trail was more to the Eagle Creek Falls was not very strenuous and only required a little climbing over trees. The trail after gets a bit harder with a lot more elevation changes.

The hike was one of the best I've done in Bankhead. The plant life is so unique and there were tons of pretty and strange mushrooms. The falls itself was gorgeous and I would highly reccomend!

Like others have said, wear shoes you're okay with getting wet and check yourself for ticks after!

Awesome hike to Eagle Creek fall. Very beautiful views and not to strenuous of a hike. We were out and back within a couple hours. Trail zig zags following the creek. Trailhead access on hwy60/ Cranal Rd. Download a map, cell service is spotty. Great place to enjoy nature

If you just hike to eagle creek falls, It won't be too difficult and you may be able to keep your feet dry by balancing on rocks for the stream crossings. It's a beautiful waterfall.
If you choose to continue and see a bunch more waterfalls, you will get your feet wet. You cross the stream what seems like an endless number of times. I would recommend wearing sport sandals. I did the all-trails hike: Little Ugly Creek falls, Deer Skull Falls, Eagle Creek Falls. It was 6.6 mi total and quite strenuous. Lots of balancing on rocks and climbing up slippery ground. You will also play "find the trail" plenty of times, and maybe do a little backtracking when you didn't choose the right side of the stream. It was so worth the effort, but next time I would definitely bring a lunch and spend time sitting. I my fitness level is average and it definitely worked my muscles and stamina. The twin waterfalls at the end are amazing.

Please be respectful and don't litter. As always, remember there's no phone signal in Bankhead.

Such a pretty area with no traffic. Going to the falls is far enough for a day hike. We hiked another 3/4 mile past the falls and realized we needed to turn back. Definitely a moderately difficult trail past the falls.

Great hike. Google put me a bit before the parking area, but I assumed it might be a bit off.
Trail was well worn and easy to follow. Falls were very pretty.
Only down side was whoever crossed the trail behind us didn't know proper hiking etiquette about using the bathroom on the trail...

Very short walk. Trail requires good balance and level of health. Falls are beautiful and soothing emotionally! Highly recommend this place!

Great place to visit and hike around. Several falls close by. Not a marked/official trail but easy to access.
