Mize Mill Falls

Only a few cars can park on side of the road and parking is on the other side from the entrance. Have to really look for entrance if you don’t know where it is. There are a few cool places on top of the falls. Have to climb down with a rope provided to get to this falls and cross the creek, or hike on down to Turkey Foot Falls and back up the other side. Have been 4 times and find something new everytime.

Parking: This is a roadside parking situation where there is not a lot of room, just a couple of cars. If you park on roadside next to dirt road you will find trail across road and down hill.

Hike: Hike to the falls is very short but requires traversing down a steep hill. There is a rope tied to some roots that helps a lot. I would just say use caution and take your time getting up and down the hill. Once you get to the bottom of the hill, you will have to cross the creek. There is a man made rock crossing if the water is down, but I think after a good rain they will be under water. Hill and rock crossing is included in one of my pictures.

Falls: Waterfall was flowing nicely the day we visited and was very pretty. You can walk along the edge at no more than knee deep to get over to the falls. It is a very nice and peaceful spot.

Simply gorgeous! Went Feb.2022 and the water was flowing nicely over the falls. Mize Mill Falls trailhead is across the road from small parking area/turnoff road on hwy 60/ Cranal Rd.. We made the mistake of following the dirt road that didn't really go anywhere. Cross the road and the fall is a short 10min hike to get to. Be cautious it is slippery and high edges. Would not recommend taking small kids. There is a rope that can help you climb down in one spot then a few roots lower down to get to the bottom.

Pretty nice waterfall not more than a 10 minute walk off the road. There are parts that are a bit sketchy and a steel decline that requires the use of a rope to pull yourself up and down. Well worth the time to see this little gem hidden on the side of the road.

Beautiful falls - Mize Mill and Turkeyfoot. Can be a little challenging to reach, bt there is a rope now to make it a little easier.

The falls are easy to hear from the road. The descent to the waterfall may be quite slippery after the rain.

Not a long hike at all! So beautiful there!!

Super awesome place! Pin is at the trail head, it’s about 300 yards down and you can hear it from the road.

A top experience in Alabama! Park on the side of the road and look for a narrow path down to the falls. It is just a 3 minute walk to Mize Mill Falls and another 3 minutes to Turkey falls. Extremely private. You can swim and stand under the waterfalls. There was a couple at Mize MIll Falls so I continued the walk to Turkey falls. Amazing!

So fun! Me and my husband decided to go for the day, it was quiet, peaceful and we had so much fun! Just for anyone wonders it’s not wheelchair accessible getting down there, it’s a little slippery and you kinda have to use a rope to help get you down 😊

Awesome waterfall, just off the road, and then you climb down into a canyon to get to it. Very pretty area, and there is another waterfall just a little ways past it. Great place to spend a couple of hours relaxing.

An amazing place to camp for the night!

My family and I love going there so beautiful and fun everytime we go...highly recommend..
