Super 8 by Wyndham Troy IL/St. Louis Area

I usually avoid Super 8 hotels because of concerns about location or cleanliness but traveling for the eclipse I thought I'd give it a try due to the cost of others inside the eclipse path and just needing a place to stay. Very pleasantly surprised. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helped me find a place to plug in my electric vehicle. I was pleased to see a very nice sink in the room and everything was very clean. A couple marks on the walls but that's from the use of guests luggage. Did see a couple of dead insects by the window, just the household kind that fly in and can't get out that fell in rhe cracks. Fridge microwave and coffee maker showed some use and could have been a little cleaner. One drawer didn't close all the way from guest damage. That all said, the beds, the sheets, the pillows and the bathroom and the sink and the carpet all were very clean and well kept. This place is a deal for someone who doesn't need frills.

For the price we paid it was a great stay, the beds and pillows were great. The shower pressure was decent but the shower head needed a good cleaning. Plenty of plug ins, high and low. If you want breakfast I’d go get something, there wasn’t much to eat. If we’re back in the area we will definitely stay here again!

Hand down the best pet friendly hotel I have been to!!! People with pets know that most pet friendly hotels are not very good (dirty, bugs, bad area, horrible staff, and beds your sleeping on springs poking your back). Beds were comfortable, it is very clean, and the staff was very nice and very accommodating (found joining rooms, and changed my room type just so we could be together). I don't typically leave reviews but finally got a good night sleep on my journey across the country so I needed to share.

This Super8 exceeded my expectations with it's cleanliness, comfort, and quietness. I'm a over the road truck driver so I stay here every time I come through. More importantly the staff is always pleasant, I lost my key a few times and didn't have a issue. I needed help printing some things out from my phone and Sonia at the front desk was delighted to help, she got it done and her professionalism made me feel comfortable even asking for her help. Thanks Sonia and Super8 Troy, keep up the good work.

We were pleasantly surprised and how clean this location was.

This is our second time staying here and we've been pleased both times. The staff are polite and the rooms are clean. The Continental breakfast is okay. It consists of bagels, make your own waffles, cereal, hard boiled eggs, and some off the shelf cinnamon buns. The pool is average sized but great for this size hotel and has a hot tub. It's right off the highway and near a good number of restaurants and fast food places.

Unexpected stop here as my fiance was admitted to the local hospital. The young woman at the front desk went out of her way to accommodate me and was so helpful. I cannot thank her enough. Clean rooms, great service. A+++!

Great location and staff, rooms are awesome

Very Quiet. Super friendly staff. We usually stay at the Red roof across the street, but do to no rooms available, we were sent here. I liked this place much better. Same owner as Red roof. I think the carpet in the rooms and hallways make it much more quiet. I would recommend.

very decent for a motel... breakfast is extensive for a complementary breakfast spread. homemade waffles!! the rooms are clean and tidy, bathrooms as well. the toiletries are of good quality, and the towels are fresh white. pool is nice. night desk attendant is incredible!!

It’s clear the housekeepers here care about their work & do a thorough job. All of the employees I interacted with at the front desk and on the phone were also personable & clearly cared about what they do. I recommend considering here for your stay

Great place to stay! Staff is friendly, house keeping is mindful of customers, complimentary breakfast is fresh best off all hotel is located around several restaurants on the same lot. Prices are reasonable specially if you are a truck driver (you get a special discount) wheel chair accessible entrance has automatic doors & there is an elevator to go to the 2nd floor, there are vending machines on the isles that can take change or credit cards, rooms have a mini refrigerator to store your drinks & keep them cool.

Excellent stay. Excellent service. I got the Jacuzzi room and it was immaculate. The young lady behind the counter, I name, but she was amazing, fast, and professional. Two thumbs up. Oh!! Make sure u eat at the BBQ place in front of the hotel it is best I've had in a longgggg time!!! Great job

Close enough to the Gateway Arch (20 min drive) This hotel has the most comfy BEAUTYREST mattresses and pillows! Best night's sleep in a long time. Very clean, nice Continental breakfast (until 10am), and friendly staff. Didn't have time to try out the pool. 😕

A place that takes dogs, has free breakfast, excellent water pressure in shower, is next to the best restaurant in the area and clean? Hello? Great value, great location, good space for Fido to do his business. Next to Fire-N-Smoke, an amazing bbq joint that has delicious food. Delicious sides too (Mac & cheese & chili to die for). We had pulled pork & brisket. This is a great location. Driving cross country. Will continue to stay at Wyndham Super 8’s.

I left my purse at the hotel and I was already in Oklahoma. I spoke with Alexa at the front desk and she said she would speak to her manager nick the next morning and when I called them back the next day they were already shipping me my purse back next day air. Nothing was taken from my purse! I am absolutely thankful and appreciate everything they did! ❤ For the employees working there just know you all are appreciated !

Very clean, comfortable, quiet. Convenient to highway, safe feel to area. Coffee and continental breakfast offerings could use some improvement, don't expect much in that category

The woman who checked us in was so helpful. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast area was stocked and clean.
