Most amazing place you will visit! Loved seeing and hearing about the Prisoner of War Camp that was in Aliceville. World War II Veterans history is a huge part of the museum as well. You must buy the book “Guest Behind the Barbed Wire” to get the full story. Amazing book and an amazing museum of our history.

I really enjoyed the Aliceville Museum today! I learned so much from the 20 minute film, as I had no idea the largest internment camp in the US was there in Aliceville. There were so many items from that era of WWII to peruse. Also the building contains the smallest, still- functioning Coca Cola bottling plant in the US. Both my Dad and my husband's Dad served in WWII. The bonus was a beautiful drive to Aliceville from Tuscaloosa and back!

We were the only people there and were able to freely ask questions and enjoy the exhibits. A great little museum about a part of WWIi history I previously had no knowledge of. They also give a military/senior citizen discount.

This museum is packed with history! The attendant was knowledgeable and we could tell excited about sharing his love of history. The military section was packed with artifacts -many more than museums much larger. This is well worth the trip.

My husband is a history buff, especially WWII, and grew up hearing stories about a German spy that reported from close to Gulf Shores. I love museums for the "people " aspect of them. We were both delighted with Aliceville's museum of the WWII prison camp and of Aliceville' history. The person that led us through was informative.

The museum is a hidden gem that many are not aware of. The staff is informative and friendly. It seems history is being overlooked now and I want to thank the museum for keeping this part of history alive.

To much to say...it’s a very good museum that covers part of Alabama history that is not well known or taught. There’s so much to read and look at, plan on taking your time. But wait there’s more!! A Coke A Cola museum in the same building! Now that you’ve seen this please go in the building across the courtyard and stroll through the section that covers the citizens of Aliceville and surrounding areas. Please give this museum a try, what it lacks in size makes up in volume.

Very informative and interesting place that highlights some of the lost history of America during the war. Though the original camp is gone; the museum is full of artifacts from the place along with notes and artwork created by the prisoners.

This museum has a great exhibit of the pow camp that was in aliceville. Lots of donated artifacts. Must see! Also has a intact Coca-Cola plant. I believe they said it was the only one of its kind still intact in a small rural community. I will go back

Great stories of an interesting time in America's history to be found here. The German POW exhibit in particular gives a new perspective on what it means to be an American both then and now.
