Sell Back Your Book

I'm surprised with all the negative reviews. I sold back 2 textbooks. The website is a little outdated, but overall the process was super easy. All instructions were provided prior to shipping. They offer the option to print your own shipping label. I received an email when they received my books and also when my checks were mailed. Awaiting for my checks to come in the mail now. I plan to use this site again in the future.

I am a professional bookseller, both online and brick-and-mortar, and I had some books that I wanted to clear out of my inventory as they didn't work for my online model and were not right for how I've curated my physical shop. I tested four companies that buy back books and Sell Back Your Book, while not always the highest original quote (although often they are or are within a reasonable margin), has been the most reliable and swiftest to process (it helps that they are located in the middle of the country so that shipping is quick from either coast). Both their processing speed and payment speed have been great, and much faster than the other main company that made it through my initial test.

I'm careful to send in items that I would personally grade as good or better online and I've never had a problem with any item being rejected. I imagine that non-professional sellers may not have experience grading books (etc) and might send in things that could be rejected for looked-over flaws. The other main company I use often has found books to be in "poor condition" and it seems that they might use this tactic to stall payment because I haven't sent in any poor condition books to them. I have not experienced this with SBYB.

Keep up the good work and we can all make a bit of money off our books and keep them out of the landfill.

Saw the reviews but thought I’d give it a try anyways. Tracking was provided. Books arrived and funds were sent the next day. Such a great experience I had to come back and leave a review. (I selected PayPal. Not sure if it makes a difference or not)

I sold 2 books, received a great price. They send you the shipping label, track your package and within 2 weeks a check was delivered for the amount they quoted. Will use again.

I had already sold and shipped my books when I noticed the reviews. I was a little concerned. However, my transaction was very smooth. My check was mailed promptly and there were no issues at all. Your mileage may vary, but my experience was positive.

Very fast delivery, High Quality Book, Great Price

The shipping was very very fast: they actually shipped in less than 12 hours! I ordered after 10:00pm (on 01/15) and it was shipped at 9:30AM (on 01/16). That was very very fast! And the shipping was free.

The price for the book was awesomely great.

The book is literally new! Although their website showed the book condition as “Used - Very Good,” it is literally NEW! This is definitely a great find.

My experience with this company has been through eBay as a buyer through their online sales presence as second. sale. Highly rated in Ebay with 100's of sales. Their value is low price items - buy 2 get one free. DVD's. Each individual item purchased comes with a colored, bar code numbered tag stating the item was inspected and by whom. They guarantee that play. They stand behind that guarantee. Only once after multiple purchases was their an issue where the disk was flawed. A refund was issued without any problem. The cases have been variously cracked or slightly soiled if listed as very good. Easily remedied with a new case. Most important with
rare exception all disks played perfectly. Not all disks are heavily discounted but are less than half what you would pay elsewhere. The only quirk they do not use Paypal, but accept Googlepay & credit cards.
Tax is charged for any IL purchase.
Shipping generally quick - perhaps a week, sent USPS via unpadded but sealed plasticine packaging.
Based on my experience, I regard this vendor as a reputable reliable vendor with above cited limitations.
I have not attempted to sell back books through this physical location.

I was initially a bit worried about sending in my books; I wasn't sure which online services were scams and which were legit. But this turned out to be one of the legit ones: I sent in my books on the 7th and got my payment via PayPal on the 17th! Pretty easy, and no real hassle.

The process may take a little bi, but I sent my books in and received my transfer to PayPal within 3 days of them getting my books. They also transferred the amount that was quoted. Only difficulty is reaching them, since they do not have a full time support. However, that allows for higher book buy back prices.

Shipped my books via FedEx on a Friday, payment received for full quote electronically less than a week later. No complaints at all!

My check came in the mail in a timely manner, and the dollar amount of the check matched the quote. Great company to sell your books to!

This is a pretty good company to sell your books with. You won’t make it rich but you can make some extra cash selling them your books
