Tom's Burgers

I was visiting Waco, TX, came across this gem of a burger joint and decided to jump right in. It was close to opening and there were already quite a few hungry patrons. They have a decent sized menu, offering much of the traditional burger-joint fare. I kept it classic and ordered a double cheeseburger and tater tots. The burger was cooked perfectly down to the gooey cheese and toasted bun! The vegetables were fresh and tasty. The tater tots were extremely crispy from the first to the last! If everything else on Tom’s menu is as good as the combo I had, then this place is fire! Additionally, everyone who works here is friendly and the place is very clean. I would recommend and will make this a must-stop when I am back in Waco.

Been here forever, if you don't know about toms, your not from waco lol. Some of the best old fashioned hamburges and food around. Don't forget to grab some cookies.

Came by for the 1st time ever today and this place is a fantastic old fashioned style burger place! It feels like home as soon as you walk in. The staff is super friendly even the patrons seemed to all know each other.
And on top of all that
The food was awesome!
Great portion sizes and everything was fresh and flavorful. You can tell they know what they are doing, have been doing it for years, and refuse to change what works.
A drink, a bacon cheeseburger, a cookie, & an order of fries all for $11 and some change is absolutely impossible to beat.
It costs more to eat a terrible fast food burger in some places.
I could not recommend this place enough!!!!!

This place blew me away. Brought back memories. One of the best burgers I've had in awhile. Onion rings were delicious. Can't recommend trying this place enough!

Definitely a staple if you want a great burger and fries! I saw the commercial and had to try it out. I had the cheeseburger with cajun fries, and my husband had a #3. I will be trying the onion rings next time! So glad we tried this classic burger joint out!

Tom’s makes a great burger! My tator tots were done very well and were very tasty. Want to come back here more.

For my first time, asking about the menu was no problem and help with questions was extremely easy to get. The food was great in my opinion and I don’t like burgers all that much but they definitely had me sitting quietly enjoying my food. The atmosphere reminded me of the home feeling of Waco that I haven’t felt in a while. Will definitely be back

Tom’s burgers in Waco Texas was another great stop. The service was outstanding, and the burger delightful. Also highly recommend the grilled chicken sandwich. This meal will melt in your mouth. The homemade cookies were great!

Loved everything about the place. From the classic diner feel, to the homemade style cookies, everything feels so authentically wholesome. The burgers are great and they're one of the few places around who get tater tots right. The prices are also unbeatable. If you're in Waco and craving a burger, ignore the typical fast food joints and give Tom's a try!

Always drove by this place and always wanted to try it. Delicious and affordable hamburger meal with a cookie, soda drink and Cajun fries. Food took a bit longer - about 20 min to arrive - but was super fresh and delicious! Loved the cherry jubilee cookie I ate too. My husband enjoyed his Swiss hamburger and sweet potato fries. An unassuming location with delicious eats.

The burgers were surprisingly delicious and the service was about average. This is a hole in the wall that is a Waco favorite. My first time to go but we'll definitely go back again. It's not a pretty place but it tastes yummy!

If you want a quality nonchain amazing burger it's Tom's. I do IT for a national chain in the area and like to try out small restaurants. I only picked up two burgers so I cannot talk to the rest of the menu. To be honest, if they could ship them hot to DFW I'd pay the price.

The food was delicious! Customer service was quick and friendly.
