AHC Lewis County

I checked in my grandmother to AHC a couple of years ago. I never felt the communication/ care was appropriate for the amount we were paying. I have been looking to make a switch until recently. The new administration has been nothing short of a major improvement. Mr. Miller and his staff have provide my grandmother and the rest of the family assurance that she will be in good hands moving forward. Wish this change had been made sooner, but better now than never!

My grandpa has been in and out of nursing homes for the past few years. I’ve never felt comfortable leaving him with anyone until I met the new management here at AHC. They’ve made me and my family feel so comfortable. So lucky to have people we trust taking care of him!

The Staff here is Awesome. I'm a patient here, I cannot believe how good the staff here is. I was completely devastated in coming to a Nursing Home, AHC Nursing Staff has made my life Transition easier to cope with. Sum wonderful people!

AHC-Lewis County has the most caring staff! I have placed my loved ones there and have been highly satisfied!

This is a beautiful facility with exceptional faculty and staff.

Great care for who needs it

The place is dirty and smells awful. No table to put anything on. Major understaffed. Patients aren't cleaned regularly or fed on time. Also no one at the front to let visitors in or out putting extra work on nurses.

My mother has been repeatedly neglected. She has stayed in her urine for hours! Her scheduled meds are not given on time...nurse tries telling us it isn't scheduled. It has been scheduled for a week!

First impressions are a big deal! I am recently a bi lateral above the knee amputee and I was approved to go there for rehab from the hospital. I had some questions and concerns since it is listed as a senior citizen home. The lady that answered the phone was incredibly rude and acted like I was bothering her with my questions and told me I would need to call back tomorrow and speak to someone else. Umm no thanks if that is the way the staff is on the phone I can’t imagine them in person. I’ll look for another rehab place thank you.

The facility is short staffed. My wheelchair, clothes, and personal hygiene items were stolen. The facility tried replacing them with cheap substitutes as if I don’t have enough sense to tell the difference. Let’s not forget about the illegal things that happen on this campus that gets swept under the rug. The ceiling above my bed leaks but nobody is interested in fixing the problem. All management does is lie to save their own butts.

My sister in law broke her hip, this is the second time in a week that she's been rushed to the ER due to negligence of this nursing home not coming to assist her to go to the restroom. Which resulted in her keytones to go up, she has diabetes. Same situation with my Mother in law who was there for over a year. Tennessee can and will do better, but only if speak out.

Administrator has a very bad attitude I think the facility would be a better place if she wasn’t there she’s terrible at her job. Short of staff and she still accepting patients

My momma went here after getting knee surgery and was in immense pain and they waited 2 hours to give her the pain pill she was supposed to get at 8.

It’s okay, until you need assistance, and then there is no one to be found.
