Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cookeville, an IHG Hotel

Absolute five-star but without the price. Upon checking in the staff was wonderful. The room is spotlessly clean and smells fresh. The shower was the best I've had since 2001 !!! Breakfast by Miss Ruth and her partner was outstanding!! Delicious and everything kept spotlessly clean and the food hot 🔥 huge selection for a hotel continental breakfast. The egg white veggie omelettes were perfect and the sausage gravy was perfect! The biscuits were light, flaky and buttery, perfect! Coffee good and hot 🔥, great selection of goodies for your coffee ☕☕
Last night we enjoyed the outdoor pool and it's great, clean and quiet. Floated for several hours.

I arrived very late and Jason and his team took great care of me. I had a baby with me and accidentally locked ourselves out of the second room, and with the upmost kindness they quickly came upstairs and helped me. I'm visiting Cookeville for work: I'm sure I'll stay here next time. Cleanest Holiday Inn I've seen in years.

We went for an Anniversary getaway. The staff were extremely kind and helpful.

We travel quite often, our room was inviting and clean. However it is an older property.
The bed was comfortable. Good sturdy pillows.

The noise was a little loud but being right off the expressway expected, but not overly loud that I could not sleep.

We were able to take a swim in the outdoor pool. Would have liked a skimmer, but water was clean and cold. Railing was not sturdy. Great tables and chairs a nice place to relax on a hot summer day.

Breakfast was good. No pancakes that day. We had biscuits and gravy 😋

Ice machine did not work on the floor.

We had a wonderful getaway and enjoyed our relaxing weekend getaway.We would stay here again in the area. Again staff were super great.

We just stayed here on an over night trip passing through! The hotel is new and very nice! The front desk staff was very nice even at 10pm. The parking was great too. The only small complaint was they did not have a complementary breakfast, you had to go up to the roof top restaurant for breakfast and it was your typical hotel breakfast but they where charging $12.99 per person for it. We passed.
The Location is right off the interstate and easy in and out!

Large rooms with decent furniture. Staff friendly. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired though.

I like there toiletries setup in the bathroom. I usually bring my own soap, shampoo, lotion etc. but don't have to bring it if I go to his hotel.

Typical Holiday Inn Express fairly clean. I like the fact that they don't usual single use toiletries. The mattress on my bed was a bit hard but I slept fine because I was exhausted. Their breakfast is pretty good and I love their cinnamon rolls.

Great stay! Love front desk staff. Ruth cooks an amazing breakfast -- and she is gracious, lovely, and helpful. Decor is fresh and clean. Comfy beds and pillows. Hope to return.

This hotel is always our halfway stop when going to visit my daughter and her family. After a long day of traveling (especially after the grueling Nashville traffic) you don't want any unpleasant surprises when you get to your hotel. This hotel will give you exactly what you want and need. The staff is always friendly, the rooms spacious and clean, and the breakfast bar is well-stocked and attended. Always good prices for the rooms, too.

If you decide to stay here, you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I stayed here again after we stopped here last year. We stayed in a room with a king bed that was very comfortable and lots of nice pillows. The room was clean and tidy. The A/C worked really well, we were able to keep the room nice and cold while we slept. They offered their standard breakfast - which is always good. We love the cinnamon rolls!

This is a quiet and very well maintained hotel with quick access to/from the highway. The price was right for a better quality hotel. We will definitely stop here again on our future trips out this direction.

Staff was helpful and will stay again. The fuller breakfast options were a great change from the usual danish and coffee from some places.

This is a fantastic hotel!!! I cannot say enough good things about this hotel!!! From the moment that we walked in the front doors, it was a perfect stay!! The staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable!! We checked in and had no problems!! Again I cannot stress how welcoming the staff was to us!! Completely professional in both dress and attitude!!! Topped off with extremely friendly dispositions!!! They also accommodated our special request to be away from the elevators and put us on the quiet side of the hotel!!! When we walked into our rooms it was like a breath of fresh air!!! The rooms were spotless, immaculate, beautiful!! It was clearly evident that it was one of their newer model hotels, but it was clean and not a spec of dust to be found!!!! The floors were perfect, the bathrooms were perfect, the countertops were perfect, and even the shower was perfectly clean!!! There was no noise from the halls...some road traffic, but was expected as it is in the perfect location right off the interstate 40!!!! And the most wonderful thing was that even the staff in the morning was friendly!!! My grandpa even asked her if she knew what the fire was that we passed coming out of Nashville was the night before and she googled it and was very accommodating and helped us find the answer out!!! And just in case anyone reading this is concerned about the breakfast…The food was exceptional!! It was hot and completely and entirely fresh!! And the utensils and counters were immaculate!!! I was greeted kindly upon entering the building. Check in was easy. Hotel looks newly renovated. Room was clean and furniture looked new. Air conditioner worked great and quietly. Nice shower and bathroom. Hotel staff was kind and helpful. Overall great stay.

We stayed in the 6 person suite and it was marvelous. Standard holiday inn express decor but a very, very, spacious room. Plenty of parking, the laundry room was much needed after staying nearly 5 days and traveling from San Antonio with 3 children. Very conveniently located near i40, and just a couple of streets over from the main strip filled with restaurants and shopping. When we go back to visit Cookeville, we will stay again!

Excellent! I often stay at Holiday Inn Expres and have high expectations. Check-in was very efficient and only took about three minutes. I am a Reward Club member and had made a reservation. I used reward points for this stay and was rewarded 500 points for the stay.

The room was spacious, well equipped, and brightly lit. The bed was comfortable. I was impressed with the amenities in the room. There were ample plugs, including USB ports by the bed. In addition to the hotel phone by the bed, there was also a cordless phone on the desk. The desk was also a table that pulls completely out on coasters to be used for dining, etc. Nice touch!

They offered choices of coffee and tea pods to be used in the Keurig machine. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room.

I did not eat the breakfast they serve, so I cannot speak to it's quality. However, they serve breakfast from 6:00 till 10:00, which is an hour longer than many places. They have a nice business center as well. Pictures included.

I highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express. If you forget anything, there is a Pilot gas station across the parking lot.

The room was perfect. We received complimentary soda such as Coke and cookies. We also had breakfast which k have to say they have the best Cinnamon rolls. We were on the top floor and at the very end which was very quiet. Made sleeping very peaceful.

This hotel has always been nice.. however the new renovations are exceptional. For someone who has terrible allergies it is wonderful. clean.. no loud perfume smells..friendly staff.. great breakfast. I will stay again.. highly recommend.

This hotel is a true value. Nice clean and comfortable room, fair price, and fantastic breakfast! The woman running the breakfast room was amazingly efficient and hard-working. Everyone working there seemed friendly. I hope all HIS are like this!
