City Cafe Diner

I used to live in the area of this restaurant and loved their Greek selections. So while I was traveling through the area, I made a point to stop!

They have a large selection of foods that are sure to provide every customer something they’ll love. ( I did not check for vegetarian or vegan options but feel pretty certain they would have some) I got the dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) that came with a fresh Greek salad and pita bread. Don’t let me fail to mention the CHUNK of feta on top of the salad!!!

They have many incredible cakes and pies to choose from for a dessert at your meal or for events you can just grab one and go! (See the photos!) I had the baklava cheesecake. Did you hear me??? BAKLAVA CHEESECAKE!!! I also ordered a slice of the Oreo pie for my son. They give you a very generous piece! WELL worth the $8.75 they charge. Because not only is it a huge slice, but it’s fresh and absolutely delicious!

My server Heather was very pleasant and offered help with selections. It want real busy at the off hour I was there, and she allowed me the space to enjoy my meal in peace but also providing the service I needed.

If you are passing through the area, do yourself a favor and stop here!

It has been years since we had the opportunity to eat in a diner and what a treat we were about to have. The menu was impressive and full of options for anyone. You could eat here every day for a month and choose something different each time. The décor and cleanliness were in order as we entered. They were busy but that did not delay our prompt seating and service.

The sweet tea was delicious, and we enjoyed the bread appetizer while we decided. Everyone found something they wanted but I was in for a super treat. I am Greek and had no idea that I would see a menu with several Greek items available. My choice was the Greek Combination Platter, and it was outstanding. The portions were huge and at such a great price that I understood why it was so busy for a Monday evening. This meal would be easily sharable for a couple and the feta cheese was flavorful.

I had no room for dessert, but the wall of treats was too much for my girls to avoid. They decided to share a piece of Baklava Cheesecake and bragged about how good it was. I think I gained ten pounds just looking at the display and will stop again when in the area.

The ownership has done a great job in executing their vision and I wish them many years of success. The menu was diversified for many tastes yet classically designed for the diner-lover inside each one of us.

A fun experience with good food and excellent customer service. It was a good time for all of us as we had dinner and then tried way too many cakes and treats and left with three bags and nine to-go boxes. Recommended!

Great place. Fantastic prices. Very friendly staff and courteous. Many many choices. Great little cafe open all the time! Their cakes and desserts were phenomenal. All made at their local bakery.

We stopped in Cleveland to take a driving break and this was just what we wanted. A nice clean family diner with a large selection. The portions were good and the food was very good. The chicken soup and potato soup were delicious.
Our server was a young guy with dark hair. I don’t remember his name but it began with a B. He was excellent! Very attentive and friendly. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Fast and friendly service. As our party of over 30 people came in. They welcomed us to City Cafe Diner. The sweet and kind hostesses were extremely nice. They accommodated us efficiently. Thank you, City Cafe crew. You have real teamwork. Our driver said, " I am going to come back here with my other groups." We appreciate you.

Great food and service! The portions are HUGE. You'll need to go boxes and bags for sure. One meal there can last you for 2 days. The slices of cake are awesome! 1 piece of cake takes up an entire to go box! I love their Italian Creme Cake.

You must come very hungry or downright starving, there is good food and plenty of it. Something for everyone and unbelievable cakes and pies. Local to Cleveland, TN and Chattanooga, this is the home grown restaurant, and to give you an idea, the tomatoes in the salad taste real!

This place is always so good. The servers are always on top things, even if it's hella full. And the place is honestly always neat and presentable while I'm there.

There's not a lot you can say about city cafe that everyone doesn't already know... They're a staple here and a great place to grab a bite with friends. A little on the pricey side but always well worth it.

I just love how casual the space is. I've seen full families having what seems like a family party to just couples out on a date. It really is just a good place to meet and eat.

On our trip we stopped here for Dinner and again for Breakfast. Very diverse selection of meals. Anything we tried was delicious and portions were big. All the staff was amazing and super friendly. Will have to come back on another trip to the area to try some of their huge cake selection.

We ordered different plates to be delivered. The delivery was quick, within a half hour.
Mine was the catfish, broccoli, and rice.
The catfish was breaded lightly, very tender and I have to say the best I have tasted in a long time! There was enough to feed 2 people even 3.
The rice was a light brown color, soft and larger grain than most and again, the best I have had! I was surprised it was not at all dry or harder like many other places.
The broccoli was steamed and you could tell it was not boiled, very tender and green the way broccoli should be done.
I was very pleased with everything and we order a lot of take out food to be delivered. This, I think, is the first review I have done on any of them since it was so absolutely much better than any I've had.

This is one of the most amazing restaurants I've ever been to! We travel all over the US for work, and eat out a lot. The variety of food they offer 24 hours a day is nothing short of amazing! Not only that, but everything was prepared to perfection and came out quickly despite them being very busy. We were so impressed with this restaurant that we were certain that either Willy Wonka or the men in black ran the kitchen. However, when we peeked through the kitchen door, we didn't see any aliens or oompa loompas! Definitely give this place a try if you have the opportunity!

One of the absolute greatest restaurants I've ever been inside. Eggs Benedict and pigs in a blanket are amazing, but you'll easily get lost in and wondrously marvel at their Mark Twain novel of a menu. Choose your own adventure, I know it'll all be amazing.

Excellent food! We had the eggs benedict, tater tots, turkey bacon, and chocolate chip pancakes! The food was excellent. This place was a nice little gem to find in Cleveland. They have an extensive menu, AND they service breakfast all day! Mmmmm.

This was our first time stopping here for dinner. It was great! I had the chicken bacon panini and baked potato. It was hot and service was fast. It was really good. My husband had a cheeseburger and baked potato. He liked his. I also had a small salad that was good and fresh, The ranch dressing was great. We finished off with an order to go of the chicken panini for my nephew. He loved it. We also couldn’t pass up a piece of strawberry cheesecake and a slice of carrot cake. We had to take those home. They are huge slices and very delicious! We’ll be back!

This is a small town diner feel with multi ethnic foods and big city array of choices. Lots of Greek and Italian plus American diner classics and portions are large and prices are not really high. Depends what you order what you pay. And they have ultra fancy bakery cake by the slice or whole cake. And ethnic desserts too same way like baklava etc. Mm. Good place for a first date or family/friends to get a meal and everyone can probably find stuff they like. They have overflow parking behind on the next road and the parking can be hard to find during busy times. Kid friendly but a place more for older kids who can sit and eat and not try to run etc. Right on a very busy road and there is nothing to occupy kids and nowhere for them to go outside without good adult supervision. Handicapped parking is available and they have several vegetarian options and is wheelchair accesible.

They have everything imaginable breakfast, sandwiches, soups, salads, Italian, Latino, Greek, seafood, burgers and DESSERTS! If you can’t find something to eat here, something is wrong. The serving sizes are huge. We always have leftovers. Plus, they’re open 24 hours!

We are so very glad that we chose to come into this place. Every single person working was polite and took the time to say hi, that's at least 5 different individuals who were not even waiting on our table. We thank each one of you. We felt like we were in a small town Cafe. The food was outstanding, the pancakes had a true cake like density that was yummy. We will definitely be back if we come back into the area.

Discovered this lovely diner that offers multiple ethnic foods plus steaks, seafood, and hamburgers. Breakfast 24/ 7 and the most amazing variety of cakes and pies.
I showed up at 10 pm with 18 students plus 3 adults and they did a great job all around. Plus we had a blast! Everyone was friendly.

All 3 locations are amazing! Great diner food with wide variety of items on the menu! Breakfast is my favorite! Last day I had pancakes that were amazing! The cakes are plenty and very good! They are very busy, but worth the wait, which wasn't horrible!
