I used to use another grocery store’s pharmacy in town and was constantly having trouble getting prescriptions filled on time, along with other problems. I love this Publix pharmacy! The staff is always kind and courteous and they get prescriptions completed quickly!

When our normal pharmacy was out of the medicine my toddler needed, I called Publix to find out if they had it. Less than 30 minutes till close, and Brandon called my pharmacy and waited on hold for 15 minutes to try to request our prescription and get it filled for us. Though unsuccessful (not his fault), he even took the time to call me back and let me know. Thankfully our provider was able to redirect the prescription, and Brandon assured us he'd fill it first thing the next morning.

UPDATED REVIEW JAN 2024:
I don’t know what has happen to this pharmacy, but it certainly is lacking the customer service it once had. The employees seem overwhelmed and overworked and they take it out on customers. As I stated in my previous review I have been with them since they opened and each month I feel like it gets worst and worst. Maybe it’s upper management or maybe it’s just some of the employees but something needs change. I will still stand by what I said in my first review that Brandon West is amazing! He’s the only reason I’m still with this pharmacy

I moved my prescriptions from Walmart to Publix’s Pharmacy when they first opened and have not looked back. Brandon is amazing and always so helpful when I need something. To be honest all the employees are great! Thank you for coming to Cookeville and I recommend you guys all the time!

Bought Bread and Hamburger from there, and two days later the bread was moldy and the burger was brown. You gotta keep fresher product on the shelves.

Absolutely ridiculous this pharmacy won't let my husband transfer two of his medications to another pharmacy where he can afford them because he takes a controlled substance. Everyone in there has the bed side manner of a wet mop when he tries to talk about it with them and they completely dismiss what he's trying to say like he's stupid. We just moved to Cookeville and this is absolutely the worst Publix pharmacy we've ever had to deal with.

If I could give them 0 stars I would certainly do so! They are by far the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with! Luckily, I decided to RECORD my call attempts to transfer my prescription, because KAY treated and talked to me in an extremely RUDE and condescending manner, as I was told my transfer was not sent to the pharmacy that I informed PUBLIX I was transferring to, AND that had unsuccessfully attempted to complete said transfer, NO, NO, KAY informed me in her obnoxious tone that they transferred 1 to a pharmacy I have never even CONTACTED, which I also now have verification had no request from me and they do not know why my prescription was sent there. I intend to complain to upper management and provide all said documentation in hopes that no one else should ever have to be stereotyped and treated the way I have been the last 2 days by this pharmacy. I used this pharmacy simply because I enjoyed shopping at Publix (even though their prices are the HIGHEST in town) BUT I will NOT be back to this store for any reason! BEWARE of this pharmacy they obviously make their own rules, and they claim they have no pharmacy management in place to deal with complaints.

PUBLIX has Dina, a pharmacist who would not accept my disability and refused to give me a medication that she had a script for and my cash. I was in severe pain from a gout flair up. Dana had absolutely no concern about my pain and insisted that I sign something in a more legible script. When I objected, Dana refused, and then so did I. After cars were backing up in the drive thru. The store manager showed up, Russell, and when I asked to see something that required me to be a better writer. He kept my cash. He could not and decided to give me the script I had paid for. He then told me never to come back to Publix. A great way to treat a long-time customer.

Pharmacist covers for the actions and mistakes of other employees. Husband was picking up prescription, we use good rx, tech didn't give us the right price, we questioned it. She said it changes every day. We said it still isn't right. She actually made a face at us. So I looked it up again, and she was wrong. We went back to the store, the pharmacist actually argued with us too. We showed her his good rx number, and OMGOSH, it came out to what it usually costs us. Pharmacist says, it's not the right price , we said that's what we pay every time! They are rude and incompetent!

I was at Publix Pharmacy at 9am this morning , as she was opening the blind i could tell she was not in a good mood and when i was explaining i need to get a prescription filled and also said i had a Good Rx coupon , she said they do not accept Good Rx and they only accept cash or my insurance. I did research this and it looks like they do accept Good Rx and they need to be friendlier . i will probably never go to Publix again.

don't worry

Horrible service!! I help out and older gentlemen (78) he had an emergency and needed his inhaler they told us he would have to wait 3hours or just go to the hospital! Smh so he decided to move over to wallgreens and they messed up and sent his info to cvs instead.. I don't recommend this place they don't seem to care much.
